9/29/2025: My experience is based on ease and customer service. I called AFS this morning to order flowers for a funeral. I got the voicemail and decided I would call back later. Within 10-12 minutes, I received a call back from AFS stating they missed a call from my number and wanted to know if they could help me. Ginger was extremely helpful and friendly. She repeated my order details, offered suggestions, and made my order very easy. I don't have photos of my flower order and chances are I will not see what the order looks like as I am not attending the funeral myself, but with customer service this good, I am sure the follow through is great too. I was on the phone to place my order for less than 5 minutes. Being at work, I appreciate this speed so I can get back to my other tasks. Ginger, thank you for your professionalism. Went in, in September wanting to schedule an appointment for my wedding flowers for November. I was told it was too early to schedule and to come back in the beginning of October. Went in again today (10/06/25) only to be told the florist was booked and busy for the time of my wedding and I should've come in earlier. The workers were very nice but staff just seemed very unorganized. Really wanted to support them but was a bit frustrated. Customer Service - Great! About 5 minutes after I placed the order online (How Sweet It Is bouquet) they called and said they don't have the orange colored roses and asked if they can make a replacement for the color. No problem, glad they let me know ahead of time. They accidentally charged me $940 for a $50 order, but a quick call cleared up the typo. They were able to immediately void the transaction and charge the appropriate amount. Flowers - They did let me know it was going to be a mixture of pink and purple because they were out of oranges. No problem since they let me know in advance. Of course the pictures online do look nicer, but the arrangement that my family received looks pleasant as well. See Pictures FYI - They call the recipient to make sure someone is home before they deliver. I get they want to save a drive and go out only when they know someone will be home to receive the flowers, but there is a different magic to opening a door and finding flowers vs. calling to check if someone will be able to open the door because their flowers are on the way. The florist local to my area here in CA make one delivery attempt early in the morning and if someone isn't home they take it back and try to reach them by phone. Not a big factor, but sucks I had to let the recipient know they had flowers on the way. Ah well. Pretty satisfied over all, will use again. read more

Complete waste of $80. I had a bad experience with Allen Flower Shop. I had ordered some flowers to be delivered to a specific loft address, which is located in a shopping center. The delivery driver dropped the flowers off with the leasing office (which is a different address) after being told by the leasing manager, they should leave them at the loft's door. I received a call from the leasing manager, who informed me they delivered some flowers to their office for a resident that they couldn't confirm or deny lived at the apartment due to privacy issues. After calling the flower shop and speaking to Jennifer and explaining the whole situation, I thought the situation would get resolved. The manager, Ginger, called me back and informed me that they did deliver it to the right address. I told her I had just spoken to the leasing manager and gave her the information about the two different addresses and how the leasing office told me they are not responsible for anything left at their office. Ginger calls the lofts and discovers it is indeed TWO different addresses, but continues to state that the flowers were dropped off at the leasing office, which makes it ok since they do it all the time. My issue with this, is that the leasing manager specifically said they should leave them at the door and they are not responsible for the flowers. At this point, it's clear that the flowers were NOT delivered to the EXACT address I put on for the recipient, yet I'm being charged for a service that was not fulfilled by the business. Ginger continued to argue with me about how the addresses didn't matter since recipient doesn't live there anymore, even though the leasing office wouldn't tell her any of that personal information. After I told Ginger, "I can see we're not going anywhere in this conversation.... I'll just write my review on yelp" she hung up the phone on me without saying anything else. I understand how someone can say I'm biased because I lost out on $80, but the way this situation was handled was extremely unacceptable. Not a single alternative was given by Ginger to make the situation right. Also, check my reviews, it takes a lot for me to write something bad about someone. I'm not about hurting someone's business at all, but know how to treat customers. read more

I ordered an arrangement for my wife's birthday (during the Covid-19 crisis) and I chose the option where the designer was allowed to choose the flowers as she saw fit. Delivery to florists is a little sketchy right now, so I let the designer choose from the freshest flowers she had on hand. I'll just be sitting at my desk or working in the yard and the idea hits me, and THAT'S when I like to send them. I used to use Allen Flower and Gift for several years until Anne's office moved out of the area and I had to find another company. Well, she took a job back in Allen about a year ago. Yesterday I called Allen Flowers for the second time since the move back. You have to understand that I am UTTERLY CLUELESS about stuff like this. I'm placing my order and the lady asks, "So what do you want to send?" "Uhhh, flowers?" "OK, that's great! What kind of flowers?" "Uhhh, nice ones?" You get the picture... I tell them how much to spend and ask them to make something nice. They are TERRIFIC! Every time I've called Allen Flowers & Gifts, they have done a bang-up job and they've delivered something that Anne just loves. They make it easy for "Clueless Clem" to seem like a pretty sharp guy. If you need to send something nice to someone in Allen and if you're pretty helpless with design, etc, I can't think of a better buncha' people to recommend. Thank you guys once again! I live in Allen, but work in Dallas. It is very difficult to get back to Allen before 6 much less 5 pm when they close. I made it on Friday afternoon about 4:20 to order a corsage for my son's prom date. I was asked to come back on Monday. I explained that I was going out of town Sunday and not returning until Thursday night. She asked me to call on Monday to place the order over the phone, but I was going to a conference and didn't think I would be able to, and I made an effort to go to the Florist because I did not want to do it on the phone or on line, I wanted to do it in person. She was too busy and said she couldn't take my order. I left and went to Marianne's Custom Floral in Plano, where she happily took my order and it took less than 10 minutes. I have used Allen Flower Shop for a decade now with great results - always on time and flowers last longer than any of the big box retailers or online florists. I finally decided to give them a review based upon my last interaction. It did not start well because what I thought I ordered and what was delivered were not the same thing. It happens. I could blame it on them but it was probably my description that led to them creating an arrangement that was not exactly what I wanted BUT - here's why they get 5 stars - I told them I was unhappy and they IMMEDIATELY made it right and delivered a new bouquet to my wife at their expense. They even called me a day later to make sure my wife was happy with the new arrangement - she of course was :) No way I would get this kind of customer service with anyone but a local florist. read more

Dropped in the day before my Mother's birthday, looking for a small arrangement that would last for several days in her senior apartment. They had one in the refrigerated case, but there was one flower in the arrangement I didn't care for. They willingly exchanged it out for the perfect purple flower, and they even made it fuller.
