I got my computer repaired elsewhere (in Santa Clara) and they found several issues…read more - No Windows key was found in settings so Windows was really installed properly by Nerds by Night despite paying for it to be installed. I was also over charged by $100 for the Windows 11. - There were more parts found damaged from being assembled. RAMs look like they were aggressively pushed in. - CPU prong bent. The repair guy I found could tell the computer was placed with the glass down in the car like the NbN worker had done. Legitimately go take your computer to Silicon Valley to have it looked at or a custom one made. Found someone who actually talks to you face to face, is passionate about computer builds, and likes their job. Also respectful to customers. I wish I could get my money back from the damage Nerds by Night caused and the mess they left in my computer casing.

So, to him, thank you for your service and your shop in lil Boulder Creek! It's this last staff person, Friday afternoon, 12/8/23, who does not seem to have your back, that I am reviewing. She said Tom no longer works on site. That is possible. She said, "opening the back voids your warranty." Of course it does not - HP recommends a fix that requires opening the back. All the on line literature states over and over through out the brands, if you don't mess with the innards or break something, your warranty is intact. I needed a back up (doh!) of my hard drive before sending it to HP - They keep a few external hard drives on hand, but unfortunately, they are Disk Hard Drives, not Solid State HDs Ah, I need to use that money for a solid state drive (I have animals - we are clumsy) - to which she replied, "they don't make them." Huh? - they are all over the internet! and they are cheap! Too bad I needed one now. I then chattered on in a friendly manner a moment about why I was sending my laptop to HP - it's probably a software conflict or something (I should have said software 'related', but not sure it would have mattered...) to which she argued, software has nothing to do with a screen problem. Huh?... again, discussions, fixes, etc., all over the internet. None had fixed my problem, but they are there and it's a thing! I don't want someone like that touching my computer, even to hand it off to the owner. Her job is to help, not create obstacles or corner people. How do I know she will handle my computer with care? She certainly didn't handle me with care. And I dare say, she is not handling your business with care. *scrunched sad face* Happy to re-review when resolved.
