I had a wonderful experience with Alliance Auto Sales. I totaled my beloved car of over 10 years and didn't have a clue about buying a new car. I went to Alliance and they took care of me like I was family. I didn't feel rushed or taken advantage of at all. They answered all my silly questions and helped me pick the best car for my needs. Bought a truck from them and the next morning noticed a drip spot under it, but I figured a used car has minor leaks I'll keep an eye on the fluids, that small drip 2 day later turned into low Trans fluid then quickly into no reverse. They were kind enough to take it in and find a Trans for it. They felt that even though I paid for the vehicle and less than a week later it had no Trans it was still somehow partially my fault and split the cost 50/50. Ok fine burned me, I'll live problem is everytime I call I get passed around and as their finance guy put it "everyone is passing the buck" it's been over 2 months now 1 month of that was waiting for them to even tell me what they were going to do about the piece o crap lemon they sold me half the second mo the was waiting for them to actually do anything about it an now I'm waiting to find out if they could work with me on a payment plan of some sort seeing as how the job I had required me to have a car so they had to pass my work to someone else and I get minor jobs when I can catch rides. Money is tight and seeing as how they had to have known there were issues with that car and still sold it I would think a reputable company would want to take care of the problem or at least get it taken care of quickly and quietly, instead of producing a review of there shady business of selling used cars with existing major problems. When I walk onto that lot I had my whole family, wife and 3 kids, I explained I needed a reliable car to get to my new job and had a very tight budget. The mistake I made was a looking myself to believe that a salesman was anything more than a thief and a lier. He assured me that this car was used but in good shape, he pushed hard to get it out the door fast and made it seem like he was helping me. But 3000 for a car that only lived in my driveway for 5 days then sat without reverse for a couple days and now resides in their mechanics lot is not a good deal. And the fact they can't even contact me to say anything, I have to chase them down. I can't recommend this as a place to buy a car. Stay far away from this place Craigslist would be a better option, hell the dump would probably provide u a more reliable purchase than I got. At this point I'd much prefer to just have my money back but I can't imagine they would agree to that they can't even tell me if I can make payments, hell they have never ever given me a straight answer on what they want me to pay for the work. HUSTLERS!! Car lasted MAYBE 2 weeks. Found sealant on the trans, so they KNOWINGLY sold me crap. They took it back ... it is currently being held hostage there until I pay them for the repairs. Do yourself a favor and shop elsewhere. read more

This place stinks! It is the worst! They are exactly what you think of when you think of used car salesmen. I went in to look at a vehicle. I had an appointment to have my mechanic look it over. I was very busy this day and on the suggestion of the salesman I took the car on a loan for the day, I brought it to my mechanic and he found a few things wrong with it but not enough to scare me off. I was very interested in the vehicle. I took the vehicle out for the day, test driving it, checking out how it drove, all the knocks and pings. I even called the agent around 11:30 that morning and told him what the mechanic had said. He told me to drive it around and see for myself and we would talk about it when I brought it back in. The agreement was 7:00 that night. So I did. I had my 9 year old with me who also liked the vehicle. We talked all day about this being our car and was it comfortable and did he like it, which he did. When I got back to the dealership after spending $30 on the mechanics assessment and replenishing the gas I used for the day $25.00. I assumed we were going to sit down and talk about the items the mechanic found and do the paperwork for purchase. He tells me to pull it in to the service department, I get out, my child and husband get out, the salesmen shakes my husbands hand, asks me for the keys which I give him and he promptly tells me that he sold the car, literally out from under me. I couldn't understand what he was saying at first, how could he sell the car, I had it. I was test driving it, on his suggestion. He sold it to someone else while I was out with it. I never heard of such dirty dealing. He wasn't willing to talk about it, and when i got mad he acted all indignant and asked us to leave. We stood there dumbfounded feeling like he had just run us over with the car. He made up some lame excuse about that being business and dismissed us, Yes, dirty business and that is how this dealership is, dirty and underhanded. Their cars are inferior, they have mechanical issues that they know about but sell them anyway. This is really a case of buyer beware. Beware if you do any business with this dealership. They are the worst and treat their customers unfairly. The deal was the bottom line, they did not care who they screwed in the process. My son and I are so upset and I am left having to explain to a 9 year old what just happened and how some people are bad people and the meaning of "dirty dealings" BUYER BEWARE IF YOU DO SO CALLED BUSINESS WITH ALLIANCE AUTO IN WAUCONDA ON RT 176!
