I called more than 45 times before they put the person I was told was my project manager on the phone, and he said "oh I'm in LA, your project manager is this name that isn't on the contract or in any of the emails" Got hung up on almost every time I called. I would very strongly caution anyone considering Alliance. Alliance was the HVAC contractor on our remodel. Since we moved in to our home in fall of 2024, we have experienced constant thermostat issues as well as three major AC-related leaks caused by their installation, severe enough that we had to take our mudroom, entryway, and primary bedroom closet down to the studs. Two of those leaks resulted in confirmed mold requiring professional remediation. From the beginning, things were not working correctly. Our thermostats behaved erratically (cooling triggering heat, large temperature swings), and it was extremely difficult to get them out to address the issues. Initially, I was communicating with them through our contractor and was told they were inflexible with scheduling. We were given one date (communicated the morning of) that did not work, and then told it would take two to three weeks to be seen, while we had a non-functioning, newly installed AC system. During that same time, they had no issue putting together and trying to sell us a $11.6k/year maintenance contract (photo attached). We eventually had to call another HVAC company just to get basic functionality restored. That technician was very helpful and identified numerous additional installation issues. He advised us to document them and have the original installer correct them under warranty. Despite the severity of the leaks and issues, the company never took full responsibility. Instead, they deflected blame; at one point even claiming that the second HVAC company we had to bring in had "sabotaged" their system and stolen their leak detection components, which was frankly absurd. At each step they have pointed the finger elsewhere, refusing any accountability. The situation escalated to the point where we brought in a forensic HVAC expert to determine fault. His report (photos attached) documented widespread defects: improperly installed condensate drains, missing safety components, poor support, airflow issues, debris left in the system, and more. We were also told one or more of the systems was incorrectly sized, which contributed to performance issues and at least one of the leaks. The report made it clear this was not an isolated issue: it was a system-wide installation failure. It documented major code and installation violations, including improperly sloped drains (directly causing the leaks), missing overflow safety switches, cracked and misconnected drain lines, damaged internal components, unsealed ductwork pulling in fiberglass and attic air, improperly supported ducts restricting airflow, and unsafe electrical wiring. Some units were even missing critical components or were not fully installed. This was not one mistake, it was a pattern of careless, incomplete, and below-code work across the entire system. This all happened while I was pregnant, with the third major leak occurring two weeks before I gave birth, requiring our entire entryway to be demolished. Even now, the system still does not function properly, with more than half of our units not working (including the nursery). Instead of fixing these issues, they implemented temporary workarounds and are now attempting to blame "user error." They have since stopped responding entirely. We chose not to pursue legal action despite incurring significant out-of-pocket costs. Our contractor's insurance company ultimately pursued a claim related to the damage, resulting in a $200,000 payout. This was not a minor issue or bad luck--this was systemic poor installation, lack of accountability, and extremely unprofessional behavior. I would not trust this company with any HVAC work. read more

I hired Alliance Environmental for an asbestos abatement project in July, 2025. During the process, I chose to optionally remove the asbestos "popcorn" material inside my HVAC utility closet. I was quoted $900 for that portion of the work. After they removed my HVAC system and had it sitting on the pavers in my backyard, I was then told they "forgot" to mention that there would be an additional fee of approximately $1,100 to disconnect and reconnect the HVAC system. That cost was never disclosed upfront. By the time they brought it up, my HVAC unit was already disassembled and out of the closet. I was essentially put in a position where I had no real choice. Had I been told from the beginning that the true total for this optional portion of the abatement would be around $2,000, I would not have authorized it. To make matters worse, six months after the work was completed, Alliance contacted me claiming they made an internal billing mistake and that I owe an additional $1,500. Reaching out half a year later to demand more money because of your own billing error is beyond unreasonable. This complete lack of transparency feels like a ploy to pressure customers into spending more money after the fact. It is unprofessional, dishonest, and unethical. I cannot and would not recommend this company to anyone. read more

I was quoted $1200 to clean my hvac system in my tiny townhome. Originally I decided to not go with these guys, because it was way overpriced for what I needed. Even Aaron who quoted me, admitted they were much more expensive than other companies. I wish I had walked away then. But-I needed this taken care of quickly, and Alliance was able to show up a week later. They were so quick, that they even finished the 4 hour job early...All was well until I came home to a huge tarp balled up and thrown onto my son's bed. My son is highly sensitive/allergic which I let them know prior to coming, so I was infuriated to find this-not knowing what it was used for. Talked to Aaron who was in charge of setting us up, he apologized and said it was just a piece of plastic but that the employee would be written up and will return later today to pick it up. He declined my request for any kind of discount and said since nothing was damaged- he couldn't give me any money off the $1200. In my opinion that's just poor business. I can definitely see why this company has such low ratings on yelp. I recently utilize this company because the ac installed insured I use them. Yelp is definitely hit or miss but isn't usually far off. I had this company come and give a bid to remove aspetus ducting from an older home. The person that gave the bid did not bring a ladder and gave the bid without looking at the attic. The house is small and I understood already there would be areas that were difficult to get to which I made sure to tell him. His quote was hire than the other companies. In addition a closet that the ac was in he said was most likely aspetus and would be removed as well. It was not. I called while the tech were on the job and he said the probably tested it and decided it wasn't aspetus. I asked the techs towards the end of the job if they did, and they said they did not. In addition, the techs then said they couldn't get to some areas and would have to come back a second day adding an additional 25 percent to the price. Overall not too happy that their estimate was high to me, and then raised more after the estimate. Techs were polite and seemed to do a clean job. No issue with the workers. More an issue with the estimate and then additional fees because of a incomplete estimate. I wouldn't utilize their service again. Assume it will be higher than estimated if the bid doesn't even look at the job. read more
