In spite of seeing reviews about the "grouchy" guy in the front my experience was anything but that. First there was Bobby who looked kind of rough but he was very nice and after I told him the problem with my car told me that they would look at it right away and got the owner Jeff. When I saw the back brace on his back and told him that I had lumbar spine surgery 2 months ago we got into an interesting conversation about that while they got my car on the rack and Jeff was looking at it. Then Jeff came and got me to show me the damage. My car is an old but reliable 2007 Toyota Camry. I was hoping that the joint connecting the muffler to the catalytic converter could be soldered but there was so much corrosion the joint and catalytic converter needed to be replaced. It was expensive for me on a limited fixed income but much lower than other places. Jeff told me that it would take about an hour but it was about 45 minutes. I told Jeff and Bobby about the negative comments about the "grouchy" guy and asked which one it was. They pointed at each other and we all started laughing. Jeff said that he doesn't look at the reviews. I told them that I thought that they were funny and delightful.

After getting an OUTRAGEOUS quote on my car repairs from a dealer, I came in to Apollon from a…read moreco-workers recommendation, mainly out of curiosity, as those close to me had convinced me I needed a new car and that my 2005 Nissan Altima was no longer worth repairing. I was absolutely shocked at the price difference for pretty much the same repairs. The dealership down the street had quoted $4000 while Apollon quoted $900!! And not only was it $3100 less, he even suggested I space out the repairs, and indicated that only one thing should be fixed right away while the other things could wait. I walked away spending $240!! Another thing I liked about this place was the suggestion at alternate options for repairs. For example, my power steering and oil were leaking, and rather than replacing the entire pump, they suggested trying out a sealer - something the dealership didn't mention at all. Of course this was not the optimal solution to the problem, but definitely the most cost effective for the age of the car. They were very nice here, and took me back in to the garage while my car was on the lift to specifically point out the problems. In my 12 years of car ownership, I have always taken my car to the dealer and never had anything like that happen. I just wish I would have found Apollon sooner, as I probably would have saved a lot of money over the years. If you are looking for a mechanic, and running from the dealer service shops, I highly recommend calling Apollon to see if they can help you out!!
