After getting an OUTRAGEOUS quote on my car repairs from a dealer, I came in to Apollon from a co-workers recommendation, mainly out of curiosity, as those close to me had convinced me I needed a new car and that my 2005 Nissan Altima was no longer worth repairing. I was absolutely shocked at the price difference for pretty much the same repairs. The dealership down the street had quoted $4000 while Apollon quoted $900!! And not only was it $3100 less, he even suggested I space out the repairs, and indicated that only one thing should be fixed right away while the other things could wait. I walked away spending $240!! Another thing I liked about this place was the suggestion at alternate options for repairs. For example, my power steering and oil were leaking, and rather than replacing the entire pump, they suggested trying out a sealer - something the dealership didn't mention at all. Of course this was not the optimal solution to the problem, but definitely the most cost effective for the age of the car. They were very nice here, and took me back in to the garage while my car was on the lift to specifically point out the problems. In my 12 years of car ownership, I have always taken my car to the dealer and never had anything like that happen. I just wish I would have found Apollon sooner, as I probably would have saved a lot of money over the years. I was greeted by Jacob at the door and he was on top of things, he listened to me and took my concerns seriously which I really appreciated. He was honest, answered my questions with zero judgement and kept me updated on my car periodically instead of telling me to wait and ignoring me like most auto shops have in the past. They got to the root of the problem with my car without trying to upsell me in the process. As a girl doing this alone, that's a big plus. Let me tell you about this place. Stay with me on this... I had to evacuate from my home in Florida, with my family, to Georgia, because we were DIRECTLY in the path of Hurricane Milton. After quickly fleeing, driving overnight for literally 12 hours, tired as heck, I noticed coolant leaking from my engine on my 2021 Kia telluride that had recently purchased. (and still under manufacturers warranty) Naturally my stress level was already high and this didn't help being 500 miles away from home. I immediately made an appointment at the Kia dealership closest to me in Chamblee. Went there and was treated so badly, (the service lady acted immediately as if her hair was on fire and I had simultaneously killed her dog) The service manager told me to leave my car there, get a rental car and come back in 6 weeks. I am not exaggerating. I left the Kia dealership disheartened depressed, and wondering what my next move would be knowing I would be going back home after the danger had passed. As I drove away wondering what I would tell my family, I turned the first corner and just happened to look up and see the Apollon sign. I passed it. Something told me to make a u turn and just check them out. For no apparent reason. I thought what have I got to lose, I'm desperate. I went in. I was welcomed. It was disarming. I'm thinking what are these guys trying to pull. I was still reeling from the way I was treated at Kia. I explained to them my problem - coolant leak - they calmly looked at it and said oh yeah, we can fix that. I was like suuuure. I said when? They said, - Today. I was floored and overcome with relief. Especially after they gave me a reasonable price. JACOB and his guys were unbelievable. Calm, cool, collected, nice, professional. Words cannot adequately describe the pressure they took from me. They did the work as promised, in the time they promised. And professionally done. HORRIBLE! They had my car for a week to "fix" the AC. Every time I called they told me they needed 20 minutes to look at it. I called at least 10 times for 5 days in a row and was told 20 minutes each time. I had to borrow a car to go out of town while they held my car hostage. I finally said I'm coming to get my car and when I got there they were just looking under the hood. I took my car and left and the AC is NOT fixed! Later, when I was cleaning out my car I found a beer cap in my car. I called to ask why there was a beer cap in my car and the manager told me that a homeless guy had gone into my to drink a beer! Hmmm.... It's obvious they were using my car instead of fixing it. You've been warned! Do not got to this hole in a wall car repair shop unless you want them to use your car and not fix it and let people drink beer in it! read more

Hello Fellow Yelpers! My dilemma on yesterday was facing the arduous task of being single, and not knowing what to do. See, my car, a 2016 Chrysler started giving me issues. Major issues. Like deciding if it should die on the interstate or give a few more spurts like Seabiscuit across the finish line. I tried not to cry though incase you were wondering. I was able to glide into an Autozone off Peachtree Rd. Where a sweet man named Norman thought perhaps I had purchased bad gas in my tank. He also told me about a great mechanics shop called Apollon. I was like Great! I contacted them this morning "they open at 7am" and gave him the synopsis of my dilemma. I arrived at 8am and was out by 930ish am. All that was needed were spark plugs and a new ignition coil. The price quoted was great. "My brother confirmed it for me because I didn't know." All in all, very VERY nice service, nice people, and i found a new mechanic!!! read more

I was referred to this shop from an acquaintance when a belt broke on my car. I had my car towed there over the weekend. Repair was done the next day. I would probably not have come here without the referral. It is a worn out shop with zero comforts so it is definitely not the kind if place you would sit around and wait. I have taken my car to Apollon on multiple occasions now. Once for my air conditioner fan needing to be replaced. Once for a new timing belt. Once for a headlight no longer working. Again for the same headlight still not working. Once for new brakes and for the air conditioner fan to be fixed again. Below are the results of each visit: -Air conditioner fan quit working before a year of Apollon replacing it with a new fan. Brought the car back to fix it within a year. Apollon originally told me I will need a new fan and coolant. But when Apollon found out that they are the ones who originally replaced the fan, all of a sudden it was just a fuse that was completely missing. If that was the cause how did it work for the first 8 or 9 months? They fixed it again. It worked for several days then quit working while I was down in Florida. I called and left of voicemail and also sent an email. There was no response to either one. -Headlight no longer working. I brought my car in and Apollon fixed the headlight for about 10 minutes. When I came home the headlight was no longer working. I brought the car back again. Apollon said they fixed it again but it was not fixed. I paid almost $400 for a headlight that was not fixed. They recommended I get a whole new headlight module. They had it working for about 10 minutes, so it seems more like a loose connection. -Came in for new brakes. The following day when I drove the car to work I heard a rattling noise from my front right bumper. I brought the car to a mechanic near my work and paid them $50 to determine that the front right brakes had not been tightened completely. Which is what was causing the rattling noise. -I also previously got my timing belt replaced by them. So far so good with that. But 1 out of 4 successful fixes is not acceptable. To say the least I have not had a good track record with Apollon. I have had to go back multiple times for the same issues, that they temporarily fix and then it breaks again. They came highly recommended to me by a friend who has been using them for many years. It seems like they have lost their integrity. I am guessing it is because the owner is not there as often anymore since opening another shop. I do not like giving bad reviews but this one is called for. read more

I was feeling bad about a very negative review I wrote about Apollon four years ago after giving them a second chance and being fairly satisfied. Don't get me wrong - service wasn't perfect, as I had to return my car a couple of times after they didn't fix something. But I was willing to live with that as they always apologized and fixed it after the return, and my family has used the original and this Apollon location for nearly two decades. So I deleted my review. But after this week, I felt the need to re-review. I just moved out of state, and before moving, I took my car in for them to tune up and make sure anything major was fixed. That included the serpentine belt and a few other things that added up to a relatively expensive repair. Wednesday when I came out to my car in the evening, it wouldn't start. AAA looked at it and guessed it was the battery but suggested I have the tensioner looked at as well. After spending the morning with a mechanic (with 5 star reviews), they determined it was the alternator and tensioner. Not a cheap fix. Why am I reviewing Apollon now? Because I felt like I had the alternator replaced not that long ago, and after digging into my records, I was right. Less than two years ago, they replaced both the alternator and tensioner. I'm not a car buff, but I don't think they should last less than two years. And the mechanic confirmed that, also saying that it looked like they put in a much cheaper alternator (maybe even aftermarket). The kicker is that this mechanic charged less for a brand new, brand name alternator that comes with two-year roadside service than Apollon charged for an inferior part. So look. Apollon is always busy, and I used to assume it was because they did good work at reasonable prices (compared to their competitors). Now I'm not so sure. I don't think they're terrible; they just don't do the same kind of quality work they did years ago. Keep that in mind when determining where to take your car. read more

They were unbelievable honest!! I brought my mini Cooper there for an oil leak. My mini uses oil like it's gas, so I often have to put more oil in myself. I noticed it was leaking in my driveway so I brought it to Apollon. When I went to pick it up he handed me a bill for $15. He said I had been overfilling it so he let out the overage and power sprayed the engine. For FIFTEEN dollars. He could have taken advantage and charged me anything. (My car has had several oil leaks) Nevermind that just the time it took him to figure it out and fix/clean the problem had to be worth more than $15. Awesome guys.... read more

Apollon has been my families mechanic for a long time, but not anymore. This past experience was terrible. They've been going downhill for awhile. My car started overheating so I bring it to Greg on a Friday. They have it all day and their conclusion was the radiator, so they fixed it. I asked if the head gasket was bad and they said it tested fine. Car is good to go. I drive to the lake Saturday and when I get to Jimmy Carter, it starts to overheat. Look under the hood, there's coolant splashed everywhere (pic attached). Bring it back to Greg and they "fix" the problem. This time as I leave, I stop at a gas station just to make sure things were good and I noticed the coolant reservoir cap wasn't even on the reservoir (picture attached.) Head back to Greg to show them and they didn't even apologize. They top the coolant and I head to the lake. Get to Lawrenceville and it starts to overheat again. This time it's worse so I have to pull over and call AAA. I get towed back. Now they replace the thermostat. David swears my car is good to go. They have it sit idle for 20 minutes and it didn't overheat. Head to the lake again. Get to Chateau Elan and it overheats again. This time I drive the car back. They end up keeping it until the middle of the next week. David eventually tells me that NOW I need an engine put in! Not sure why that wasn't figured out in the first place. Greg tells me that it's probably best to trade my car in and that it's not worth it to get it fixed, so I did. Now I've been without a car for a couple weeks now. They didn't even offer to refund me for the things they fixed and they weren't the problem in the first place. It was just a lot of careless mistakes and I feel like my car could've been saved if they did it right the first time. read more

My first experience was with my Infiniti 3 yrs ago prior to moving to Georgia, I left my car went back to Jersey and flew back a week later. Excellent work and prices. Infiniti dealership quoted me $1300.00, Greg charged me $275.00 never had a problem with the part or work they did. Since, I moved to Georgia they have done other work on my Infiniti which now I have 225000 miles on it. In May 2018 I was seeking a used car Audi A4, I was able to take the car to Apollon to go over the car before I purchased it, they did an analysis on the car, I was comfortable with the price, bought the car, took it to Appollon had complete tune up, new hoses and belts and it runs fine. I came this morning before 0800. I was first customer in. A man came in 10 min later, his car was pulled in and fixed first. The worker messed with my truck for 90 min and now it won't start at all. I drove it here and they had to push it out of the bay. Among other things they told me I need new plugs and wires. I just had these replaced a month ago. They also said I have no gas in the truck, it is 1/8 from being full. They ran my battery down. I am sitting in parking lot waiting for AAA. I have been treated very poorly. read more

I took my car here today for the first time after being quoted more than $600 elsewhere to replace my brake pads, resurface my rotors and being told I needed a brake fluid flush. Apollon checked out my car and told me I didn't need the brake fluid flush and charged me less than half of what I had been quoted. They got my car in and done by lunch time. I was driving down 85 and got a flat tire. Barely made it off the exit and parked my car at the Quality Inn. I walked into Apollen, which was next door, and the owner said they were closed. I explained my situation and said that I just needed someone to put my spare tire on for me. They not only reopened the garage for me, they put my spare tire on for me and DIDN'T CHARGE ME ANYTHING! I will NEVER return! I was referred to Apollon by my uncle & have gone to them a few times over the last 5 years. The older gentlemen own the place, &usually are accommodating, but it was always hard to understand them with their language barrier. I often ask them to repeat things, saying, "I'm sorry, I didn't quite understand." This day he said, "You understand me fine!." They replaced my power steering hose back in October. While driving to work not three months later, I was terrified because my wheel would not turn. It sounded like a grinding metal, so I returned home, being only a few blocks away. I thought it may be the power steering fluid so I poured some in, and heard it spewing out onto the ground just as quickly as I had poured it in. I called Apollon &luckily Jr (The only one I understand) picks up. I told him what happened& he said he'd found my original receipt that proved my purchase, get it towed to Pep Boys to find out what's really going on, & they'd pay for the service since it was a faulty part. Got my car towed again to Apollon, but when I called George picked up. He gave me the run around all day saying he'd call back later. He said he wasn't going to pay for it because I didn't have my receipt(which was in the car at their shop). George, "Get them to take hose off so I can get my money back." I told him Pep Boys was going to charge me. He proceeded to an argument. I told him don't worry about fixing my car, just issue me a refund. He called back to apologize and offered to pay half my tow. When I got to Apollon, my car was fixed, but the conversation that followed was less than pleasant. "I could've choked you yesterday. All you say was gimme my money." I informed him that I am from the south and was more than respectful when requesting my refund. I was afraid, angry, and anxious, and chose to end the conversation a smile, thank you, and exiting to retrieve my car. I felt I had been threatened and wanted to call the police. But at the time just wanted to leave the property. Unprofessional. No customer service skills. read more

They immediately looked at it and offered some suggestions as to what it might be. It ended up being something simple. When I asked what I owed, Greg said not to worry about it. We have used them for years. We took our low low mileage Rodeo to them for repair. They kept it for over 2 months. When we got it back, our power windows would not work. They refused to even talk about it. We know this car has been used so little and there was no reason for the power windows to go out. This was for a head gasket repair. We have since found another auto repair shop. So disappointed because we have used them for 25 years. read more
