They came out the same day and identified the source was coming from my neighbor's tree(s) (one out front and one in the back corner adjacent to our yard). Although it appeared to be an outdoor roach, I specifically requested that they treat the situation as if it were German roaches out of caution. This required a deep treatment, which meant completely emptying cabinets, drawers, closets, and moving appliances throughout the entire house. It was a huge amount of work, but we did everything required to prepare. When the technician came, the service felt rushed and incomplete, as if not all areas were properly treated. Still, we trusted they did their job. We were told a second treatment was required two weeks later, and that's where everything went downhill. April 10: I waited all day, received no call, and no one showed up. I contacted the company, and they couldn't reach the technician. Rescheduled to April 13 (3-5 PM): I rearranged my schedule again and even missed work (losing income) to be home. Once again, no call and no show. I left my house at 5:00 PM after my appointment window ended. The technician showed up at 5:05 PM, outside of the scheduled time, expecting me to be there. After this, I spoke with a manager named Louis. Due to the poor experience, I told him the only way I would continue service is if I was taken off the year contract and switched to month-to-month. He agreed and said he would send written confirmation. I never received that email. It has now been days, and despite texting him (as he suggested for communication), I have received no response. On top of everything, since the treatment, we are actually seeing more bug activity than ever before--worse than before we even started service. We are seeing more bugs than we ever have, including ants and spiders throughout the house. When I called about it, I was told to "wait for the treatment to settle," which is frustrating given everything we've already gone through. James was available within just 24 hrs and came within the stated time window and discovered three trails and colonies in our backyard. I originally considered canceling because technicians sometimes didn't perform the service (verified on my security cameras) and I was charged for services that weren't completed. Brooks convinced me to stay by offering a discount and promising I wouldn't have to sign another contract. Recently, I called to increase my service from quarterly to every other month. Instead of honoring what had been promised, the salesperson, Briggs, tried to upsell me to a more expensive plan. When I asked Brooks to honor the agreement they made with me, he became rude and hung up on me. Ironically, when I called back to cancel, they immediately offered me an even bigger discount. By then, it wasn't about the money, it was about how I was treated. After four years of inconsistent service, billing issues, and now disrespectful customer service, I can't recommend Brooks Pest Control. There are better companies out there.
