With a ton of shops, restaurants, and entertainment to choose from, it was hard to make a selection. A lot of them had great sales going on too. Service was great at each of the stores I shopped in. I thought the value was great too cause tax % is much lower here than Cali.

Overall, there is lots of things to find, and if you go there at the right time, you'll be walking out with some steals and deals. The quality is decent. So the roommate and I ventured out to Nike at the Village. They still had the sneakers. Roommate didn't like them in person lol. He tried on several other pairs tho and in the end, couldn't decide on a pair. That's fine. I ALMOST bought a pair of gym shorts, but they didn't have any other color in this style other than red. That's fine. Shawn. Shawn is the incredible employee who helped us. He immediately came up to us like 2 seconds after we walked in. Quite a difference from my Foot Locker experience (that review is posted). Shawn just moved here from California, but we won't hold that against him, haha! He was great! Truly went above and beyond to help my roommate. Was super patient with us, with anyone who asked for his help. He is super friendly, super accommodating, and if someone annoys him (don't know if that's possible tbh), you'd never know. He seems to truly love working with the public. As someone who has worked retail and did so for many years, it's a tough industry to be in...especially with how entitled people are! And these days! Hard pass. Shawn tho, as mentioned he seems to truly love it. He's only been in the Boise area for a couple months and glad he's here. He is the type of person that makes this city better and certainly the type of guy that makes going to Nike..and enjoyable experience. He's a good dude. They're lucky to have him. Other employees I spoke to..super nice as well. One guy came up to me to say hi to my dog. This guy was soooo nice! Wish I got his name. It's always fun to see how people are around dogs :) I mentioned above that I've never owned a pair of Nikes, but if they had the right pair, I'd buy from this store. It was a better experience than expected. BUSY. AS. HELL tho lol. Memorial Day weekend plus it's in Meridian. Anything at the Village is always a madhouse. I like my sneakers to be bright AFFF! I'm so bored with black, blue, gray sneakers. So I started switching it up. Nike seems to regularly put out bright a_s sneakers lol. I just haven't found the style I like. When that happens tho, if they have it at this store, that'll probably be my first pair of Nikes lol. Whoever runs this store, is great at it. They hire the perfect people. Everyone there was so nice and welcoming and thanked you as you walked out. Foot Locker (see review if interested) they, all FIVE of them were in a huddle, goofing around watching their phones. Despite all the changes over the years it is still Hot Topic inside and out. The Boise location is nice because the staff seem like they are treated well. When I was notified my order was ready, the employee there was extremely complacent and not friendly. She questioned if I was actually notified that they were ready for me, I told her I received a text, spelled my first and last name out per her request, and she asked me if I was sure on how to spell my last name. At that point, I was frustrated with the interaction. I'm used to my last name being misspelled - it's completely understandable it happens all the time! I've never had someone ask me if I spelled my last name right, literally had to confirm that was the question and was met with attitude. She asked me to spell it again, turns out my last name was entered waaay incorrectly. Somehow my last name was spelled with an r, h, p? That was a new one. I understand what it's like to misspell someone's name in customer service, I did work at St. Luke's and checked patients in. If I misspelled someone's last name, I would verify and spell it back to them to double check. The issue isn't making a mistake because that's something we all do and I have immense patience for that (I make them all the time), what I don't have patience for is rude customer service. The bar for customer service at Plato's closet has always been low, and I just brushed it off as unexperienced and unenthusiastic staff. I don't go there much anyways so I didn't feel like leaving a review but today was extremely frustrating.

I know the clothes are screened and purchased for resale, and I was blown away so many items with obvious stain/damage met their standard. We got there at 10am on a Friday morning and it was nice and quiet and not busy until about 11/11:30am. We took 2 hours to help our kids paint 2 items each. My son (5) and daughter (9) both enjoyed their visit! The inside is kept nice, organized and clean. The ladies working today were wonderful! *Prices are a bit high in my opinion. For 1 Small/Medium item, 2 Small items and 1 Mini item we paid $112.36 (with tax), but I know the business has to be able to make a profit as well. Your policy is misleading at best and designed to take advantage of the consumer....and then you add insult to injury by offering slightly more than half of what was just paid! I did stand in line at the self-checkout before I saw a woman who wanted to pay with cash not able to because she was in the card only line. I'm from MT & was looking for marked designated signs. No signs were anywhere & I felt so bad this woman had to take her bagged groceries to another area. Getting back in line for the cash machines was incredibly long, fortunately I found a cashier with a very short line.

Second train your people that so the grocery pick up to be properly and move out of the way when a customer walks past. Not be in the middle of the lane and standing blocking where you can pass. Have them smile alittle. Is that job so taxing we cant even look at a customer and smile? Third your stores floors are filthy. One of the clothing racks had so much dust bunnies under it I wonder how ofter floors are cleaned properly. I have had good experiences but the bad are racking up. Its frustrating!
