With mixed emotions I leave this review. I used Allstar to service a small apartment complex that I own in Walnut Creek for about four years. Guessing that I used them about twice a year for various needs. We had a good run with the company as they were responsive and provided good service. Sadly, the last experience I had was discerning. They were difficult to schedule with and then failed to show at the scheduled time. To add insult to injury they neglected to return phone calls. Eventually the office manager called to apologize. This put me in a tough bind as I am turning over an apartment and need the work done in a timely manner before the tenant moves in. I understand that everyone is busy but if this is how they treat a long term paying customer I would hesitate to move forward with them if you have other options. read more

We needed to setup a wall connector for an EV vehicle and I shopped around with some of the local electricians in the area. In the end Allstar quoted us the fairest price and with very little difficulty. All the electricians will ask you to take pictures of the fuse box and some electrical meters and switches so be prepared to take these pictures and share them for accurate quotes. Allstar asked for an additional picture and they were very helpful in their directions for what they needed in the picture. Once all the pictures were uploaded an appointment was made almost immediately. Job was done in about 1.5 hours and everything is working perfectly. Steve is awesome! He has done several projects at my business. He installed a thermostat that can be controlled by my iPhone, the fan in the restroom, and a new light fixture in the restroom. He has also added recessed led lighting to the kitchen at my parents house and rewired a ceiling fan that had never worked correctly. Now it works great! And he also installed 2 ceiling fans at my in laws house one which he had to go into the crawl space above the ceiling and add all new wiring. Called Steve with Allstar electric because I wanted 4 ceiling fans and exterior lights installed. Steve picked up when I called for an estimate, he arrived promptly the same day. I received two other estimates that seemed to be a little high compared to Steve's bid, I ended up going with Allstar because he was the only one out of the other two that recommended putting in remotes for the fans, he also asked if I planned on installing Christmas lights, I said yes. He recommended installing a hard wired timer that I controlled from inside the garage while a outlet was just under the eaves of house so there would be no extension cords, I loved that idea. Steve got to work the next day, since I did not have any pre wiring done, he had to go up in the attic and pre wire. He installed 4 fans, to exterior lights on both ends of my garage and a timer and outlet for my Christmas lights in one day. Very happy with the workmanship and price. I recommended him to a friend of mine who had Allstar install some exterior fans and mounted his flat screen, my friend said he was very happy and that Allstar does great work. I plan on getting a bid from Steve to install a backup generator. I really only post on Yelp if a company exceeded my expectations of deserved a one star review, Allstar definitely deserves a 5 star review. I highly recommend Allstar. read more
