This is the worst company I have encountered when hiring contractors and paying for membership plans through the years. Green Air actually took over Certified Heating's clientele (I was with Certified for 2 years) and they were wonderful. After they took over, they already cut down our maintenance visits from 2x a year to 1x a year. I wasn't too happy about it but the techs that came were nice and cordial. However, I'm not really sure what's going on. Maybe new management. I had my last maintenance service done in 6/2025. I moved in Dec 2025 and transferred my service to the new address. I scheduled a maintenance service for end of this month and just last Thursday, I got an update email that they were downgrading and removing all HVAC tune ups, air filter changes and solar cleaning. Basically all the benefits that I chose to pay the membership. [[HIGHLIGHT]]What really angers and frustrates me is how no one is picking up their phones and it goes straight to vmail.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] When I did finally get an email reply, they stated that they would only apply my 5 month payments to the maintenance fees, so they basically didn't count the previous months I paid at my old home. I feel like that is pretty unfair, that I paid a full year to have no maintenance included and I would have to pay more money on top to match whatever fee they say maintenance services are currently. They didn't offer a refund or that my service I already scheduled back in May would be taken care of. I've been a loyal customer here for over four years, but after my experience today, I am completely done. For the last 14 months, I've been paying my monthly fees faithfully, yet I haven't received a single service visit. No maintenance, no proactive calls, nothing. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Their billing system is a disaster and their communication is nonexistent.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The breaking point was a call I received today. They told me they updated their billing system and needed to collect payment again. [[HIGHLIGHT]]When I pointed out that I've been paying for over a year without a single person showing up to do the work, and that they have zero records of calling me to schedule.. they flat out refused to admit it.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I asked to speak to an owner or a manager to resolve the refund for the service I never got. Instead, a man got on the phone, spent the whole time talking over me, and then actually HUNG UP up on me.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Now, every time I call back to finish the conversation, it goes straight to voicemail.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] It is honestly ridiculous that a customer has to chase a company down to get them to do the job they are already being paid for. Poor communication, inadequate service, unethical tactics Our solar system was installed in 2017. In early June, 2025, energy output dropped by about 70 percent. I contacted Green Air, the original installers. I theorized that the inverter had failed, and was pleased to learn that it was still under warranty. Thus began a long series of almost daily phone calls to Green Air, asking for updates. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Promised return calls rarely happened, but most importantly they NEVER SENT A TECHNICIAN to verify that the inverter had, in fact, failed.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Apparently, my diagnosis was good enough. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Green Air claimed that they were in touch with Solar Edge, the manufacturer of the inverter, and that the company was very slow to respond.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Over the phone, one technician theorized that Solar Edge was "about to go out of business." One customer, he said, had been waiting for three months for a replacement Solar Edge inverter. Another had waited even longer, and ultimately had a new inverter installed from another manufacturer at a cost of several thousand dollars. I wondered if that might be an unavoidable option for us. So, after five frustrating weeks, I asked if there were any other manufacturers. I was answered with an estimate of almost $13,000 to replace the inverter and other components. That was a non-starter; it would obviate almost all savings in energy cost. Out of frustration, I wrote an email to the owner, Nick Donzelli, detailing our experience, calculating the diminution in energy output, and citing a provision in the original sales contract (which the owners had left behind) which specified that the system was warrantied for "25 years FULL parts, 25 years All labor workmanship guarantee for approved manufacturer claims." [[HIGHLIGHT]]In response, I got a hostile email, ridiculing my confusion between Kilowatts and Killowatt hours, and informing me that, because we are not the original owners, Green Air would refuse service entirely, and that his team "is aware that we will no longer serve you."[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I did not contact Green Air again. Instead, I reached out to a company called Energy Aid. (Excellent! 10 stars!) Within a couple of days, they sent a technician who did a thorough analysis of the system. On the roof, he photographed the panels and tested the energy optimizers. Then he opened up the inverter and took pictures of the electronics, and photographed the wiring. I appreciated his thoroughness, and he told me that Solar Edge REQUIRES THESE ITEMS before they will honor a warranty claim. Green Air had done none of this, so if they did make a warranty claim, there was no chance that it would be honored. No wonder they keep clients waiting for months: it's an easy pretense to offer an "upgraded" system. Within two weeks of Energy Aid's proper diagnosis, they had replaced the inverter--still under warranty. It works perfectly. See my positive review of EnergyAid, if you're interested in getting the job done right. EDIT: After Green Air's response. 1) The company never offered to do a site visit. Had they done so, and charged for the service, I would have agreed, as I had done for a different problem after we acquired the property. We were charged $385 then. 2) I didn't even find the original contract, which includes the apparent warranty, until I'd spent a month trying to get Green Air to address the inverter issue. I quoted that provision verbatim, and the paperwork I have makes no reference to being valid only for the original owner. 3) As much as I would love to get into a pissing contest on Yelp, it's not worth my time. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I will respectfully suggest, however, that Mr. Donzelli might have greater success in dealing with dissatisfied customers if he dealt with his anger management issues.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I will now brace myself for a torrent of name calling, as in his previous missives. read more

Technicians came out as scheduled and went directly to work. Found a problem within the first few minutes. Most of my refrigerant had leaked out due to some sort of leak. They topped off the coolant and said to call if the system wasn't catching up with the outside temperature so they could try and find the leak before I had to pay for all new refrigerant again. Green Air installed solar, batteries and also a mini split in a detached building. The main advantage of working with Nick and Green Air was that they could work with me to design a solar system that fit the building, both the panels on the roof and all the supporting electrical equipment (panels, combiners, shutoffs, batteries) in a compact design that was functional, code compliance and visually clean on the house. In contrast, the national contractors (SunRun, Telsa, etc.) wouldn't let me talk to an engineer or designer and don't seem to care about covering your walls with a web of conduit and electrical boxes. The back office was a bit slow moving at times and needed follow up on permits, etc. but I think they are quite busy as are most contractors these days. read more

It was so welcome to find a competent professional team to install my solar system. Don't use them. They over promise and under perform. Customer is never right and they do the project with the least amount of effort or consideration of the customer's needs. We have used their services several times. We had them add Tesla Power walls and also add additional panels to an existing solar system. Recently, solar panels ,that they did not install, caused a roof leak and they removed all the panels and did an excellent job of repairing a challenging roof and reinstalling the panels. Anytime we questioned them, they explained to us exactly what was going on. I would highly recommend them and already have recommended them to many friends. read more

Nick and Green Air just installed 9.1kW rooftop solar (21 Maxeon panels), two Tesla PowerWall+, a Tesla Inverter/Gateway, two SPAN panels, and all of this communicates together controlled by the Tesla app. I had a friend that installed this rig, and frankly, Nick was the only vendor that thoroughly understood it and had experience. Green Air was timely, clear, estimates and invoicing were clear and accurate, professional, the install and conduit routing is very well done and looks great, and the team members friendly and courteous. I couldn't be any happier, I'd like to give six stars. We just had an all day PG&E outage, and this system flawlessly kept everything running. Solar is not just about saving energy costs, it is also about reliable power and energy backup (without requiring gas like a generator). They were very helpful on Solar Credits, and our tax rebate of 30% made it very affordable! I can recommend them highly. read more

I had solar panels and Powerwalls installed. They gave me a fair deal, considering I wanted it done in a pretty complicated manner, that I don't think a lot of cookie-cutter solar companies could have managed. Nick came up with a clever plan and started work almost immediately after I signed the contract. Their work was extremely neat and they definitely didn't skimp on materials. I watched closely and nothing used was a cheaper/lesser product. Their billing, permitting and PG&E PTO process are very streamlined and my system was permitted, PTO'd and generating energy very quickly. There were some hiccups with the system initially, but they stood by their work and got it diagnosed. It ended up being a faulty Tesla component. The system now works as designed and is generating what I expected. read more
