It was time to get my 2002 Honda Accord smog test and came to Rey's. It was a little hard to find cuz it's hidden and there's other smog check stations on that same block. It's directly across the street from DMV and thank goodness for that red umbrella to stand out. I paid a total of $55 which is average for most places but the best part was how fast the whole visit was. There was no wait time so Richard (I believe that's his first name) took care of me right away. He had me fill out some paper work, then I checked in on yelp, then before I could even sit down, it was all done! I brought a snack with me to munch on while I waited, but didn't even need it. Just got my car smogged and it took less than 10 minutes! Of course nobody was there waiting, but still. My car is a 2005 and I found out they don't have to hook up 2000 or later models to the machine where it revs it, but only to the computer that reads all the sensors in less than 5 minutes. WONDERFUL! Will come back and Richard was very nice and helpful as well. :) read more

I'm so last minute with things and I noticed that my DMV renewal registration was due in a week along with a required SMOG check and I was stressing out because I work crazy hours and luckily I made a call today at 4:30 pm on a Saturday and Jimmy, the god-sent angel said he was going to close at 5 pm but said he'd wait for me since I was stuck in traffic in Pomona. When I got there he greeted me with his smile and professionalism. He noticed I was speeding over there to make it and he calmed my nerves but throughly inspecting my vehicle. Thankfully my car passed and was able to send DMV the electronic certification of completion. The location is kind've hidden but directly across from the DMV in Bellflower off Artesia Blvd. Cost me $50 worth my time and drive. Thanks Jimmy! You are awesome and so is your bike! read more

I give this place 5 stars. My daughter called and requested a price on smog check for my 2012 Kia Optima hybrid. I never had to have it smoggy until this year. She was quoted $50.00 . We got there in minutes and was greeted with a smile. We were told $40. For the test and $10. For retest if it didn't pass. 10 minutes later I'm told my car passed and they checked to see if any codes came up. I paid my $50.00 and got my paperwork. So smooth, so fast and the guys there are great. I am going to recommend them to everyone who needs a smog check. Awesome!!! read more

Great place to go for smog. I drive a 1988 full size truck and most places try to charge a whole lot more. I paid $65 and that's the best price you'll find for a truck that's pre-1996. The place I went to before wanted $80. A bonus is that they're right across from a DMV location too. read more

This is the fastest smog test I've ever had done and it's legit! I highly recommend this spot the owner is hella chill literally came and talk to my buddy that came with me for less then 10min and he goes done and has my smog passed and hands me back my registration paper work. And says it done sent to the DMV and everything I was jaw dropped I am hella recommending him to anyone who needs to have a smog test done on the quickness. My dad actually told me about him and sent me here hella grateful other spots tell will have it done in an hour and have a line normally I can see why he's still in business and has no wait cuz he does it quick makes you think twice about other places that take their sweet time wasting your time but this guy doesn't he get the job started right away and has it done in a few wish I woulda timed him just for fun lol read more

LOOK FOR THE RED UMBRELLA! From the time I called to see if they were open to the time I got home (a mile from the facility) was less than a half an hour. The young gentleman was polite, clean, pleasant, and efficient. There are three auto service facilities in the same "store front" area right across from the Bellflower DMV, another one also does smog checks, Rey's is the last one, tucked in the corner on the west end. I almost missed it, but then I saw the red umbrella. Thank goodness for the photo that shows that red umbrella. I wasn't gouged on the cost. Total was $45, which included the check, the certificate, and the electronic fee to transmit to the DMV. Believe me, all the 5 star ratings are true. I will be going there again for my next smog check, and I suggest you go there, too. read more
