This place is outstanding! Very professional, knowledgeable, kind, and honest technicians! I can't recommend this place enough.. I have failed 3 times in CA Express Smog of Long Beach due to the "inspector" not giving me informative reasons as to why i fail it. Not here! I went here when i don't have anything to lose and from the beginning I knew this place is the one! Based on the professionalism and knowledge of the staff. In and out with a quickness! Smog check $35.00 Certificate $ 8.25 Electronic Transmission $ 1.75 Grand Total $45.00 It's a test only shop. And Rey was showing one of his workers what to check were to check etc. And I was still in and out with in 20 mins. Granted I have a 09 truck. So it should pass easy. Rey promise you one free retest if you don't pass. All you have to do is pay the certificate again.... I think... Maybe you don't pay it the first time if you don't pass. Call around. But he had the cheapest price that I could find by him. I was asking all types of questions, probably annoying him and his workers. But they were still nice and answered all of my questions. read more

Mom's ride needed to be smogged. Activated yelp! and there it was...great reviews and conveniently located, right across the street from the Bellflower DMV, can't miss it. I drove right in, the owner greeted me, quoted me a price ($50) and not even 20 mins later I was done and out. Easy, family owned and operated with friendly service. Yen took care of the muffler delete and Lee and two other very helpful gentlemen took care of my coil overs. I have to say I am very satisfied with the quality of work for the value. They quoted me way under anyone else that I had called prior to going with them. I will recommend A-1 Muffler Express to all of my friends and family. They all make you feel that you're part of the family. They offered me coffee and cold water while I waited for my car to be done. One thing to remember, they are experts in mufflers, exhaust systems, and not any other type of work. But it never hurts to ask if they can do it for you!

The gentleman on the phone said the transmission fluid is for life unless I'm towing or carrying heavy loads. When I questioned why I see that it's recommended online he says that dealers will recommend this service all day but if you check the Toyota maintenance manual it says you don't need it. Man! I haven't even been to this shop yet and I'm already getting a good feeling about this place. It's a bit more expensive for an oil change than other places that have quoted me, but I like that they use factory parts including Toyota oil filters. Stay tuned.... 6/29/26 - Brought my Sienna in for an oil change + complimentary 30-point inspection (since it was my first time there). Jared took the van for a spin, brought it back and lifted it up. They found a little oil seepage coming out of the transfer case. I let them know that I did see a transfer case drain/fill on the CarFax report before I bought it. Jared thinks they just didn't torque it properly so they were going to retorque and clean up around the area and keep an eye on it. Worst case scenario, they would need to order a new drain plug gasket and I'd have to come back to get it replaced. Thankfully, the drain plug just needed to get tightened. I was in and out in almost exactly an hour just as Robert promised. Thanks The Toy Shop team!! Pro Tip: they are booked out at least a week in advanced so make your appointment ASAP!

Not only do people attempt to take advantage of me because I'm a woman but also because I drive a Mercedes. I needed brakes and there was no way I was going to the dealership to have the replaced . So, I searched on Yelp and of course I came across a plethora of businesses but Bolles was the only one that had all five stars, I gave them a call and spoke with the owner's son (sorry i forgot his name) he was very polite, and knowledgeable. The next day o took my car to them to be serviced. I dropped it off and they called me a couple of hours later with an estimate. Yes the estimate was pricey but again he was using Merced's parts and we all know that those aren't cheap. But what I appreciated most was their honesty . He told me that the rotors on the back were shit and definitely had to be replaced but the front were fine and if the price was too much I could actually wait awhile (not forever, but a payday or two) before replacing the brakes . I thought this was the most honest expertise I had ever had with an unknown mechanic. If you want the job done right, with friendly, professional people I would recommend this business to you and anybody who needed a wheel alignment and or brakes . Hopefully I won't have to go back anytime soon but I'll definitely be recommending the to everyone I know .

These guys are great here. It was easy and fast I would totally recommend coming back. But they do charge $50 now and you can save $5 by checking in with yelp and using the coupon. read more
