Clipped my dogs nail extremely short, and didnt have very remorse. I feel as if they need to pay a little more attention and not rush.

Groomer nipped our dog's tongue and mentioned the bleeding should've stopped by the time we picked her. The reception said these types of cuts stop in due time and was surprised our dog's tongue was still bleeding. Apologized for the dog's injury and stated it's a risk one (dog owner) takes when taking dog in for grooming. Our dog is extremely uncomfortable so we talked to her vet. The clinic is putting together antibiotic and pain meds to administer to our dog for a week. And to add insult to injury, we paid $70 for our dog who weighs 8 pounds! We do not recommend this groomer. read more

I would not recommend Ally's dog spa. My dog was returned to me with razor burn on his paws causing him to limp and kennel cough, the one and only time I took him there. (My dog is up to date on kennel cough vaccine but contracted a different strain of virus not covered by vaccine.) I contacted them expressing my concerns and was told basically that's unfortunate. No apology or concern was expressed either for the dog's injuries or the fact that the facility likely has a contagious virus. I only went there because of their rave reviews and perhaps I had a rare exception to their normal performance. Either way, I felt her response was extremely poor customer service and seriously concerning for their general cleanliness and groomer training. read more

Went there to get an "assessment" of my dogs and a nail trim. I have the sweetest malamute who is almost a year old. Yes, he weighs 100lbs, but to quote us $300 to groom him?? That seems really excessive to me. I think they just didn't want to do it. It's a shame because I would have scheduled both of my dogs on a monthly basis and I would think that having a regular customer would be very valuable to them. read more

I brought my two doggies to Ally's for a full groom. They were professional with excellent communication. My soft coated wheaten terrier looked absolutely perfect with the puppy cut I asked for and my elderly labradoodle was gorgeous. I walked away very happy and I can't recommend this shop enough. All of the ladies at Ally's Dog Spa are awesome. I have three medium to large breed dogs that have visited there regularly for about a year or so now. I've had groomers in the past where at least one of my dogs would be quite anxious when we'd arrive for their appointments. But not here! All of my dogs actually like going, and are so happy when I arrive for pick up. It's like they had an instant confidence boost after they've been loved on and are all squeaky clean! Not to mention how good they smell! They ladies all greet them when they arrive and walk behind the counter. Even though they are working on other dogs, they're not too busy to say hello and tell them how cute they are. Allison, at the front is always so kind and friendly whether you're calling to make an appointment or if you're dropping off or picking up. The worst grooming experience of my dogs life. Never will I bring my dog here. Owner is uneducated and unprofessional. She has such a bad demeanor. The atmosphere was not friendly don't let them fool you. The owner is rude and Inconsiderate. Never give $1 dollar to this place. Don't waste your time or money go somewhere else. There is way more better places then this place it's overpriced, unprofessional and long wait list. She could not put on her listening ears or understand my dogs history of bad grooming. If your dog needs the best experience don't take him here. Take him to someone who loves animals and appreciates your dog. understand my dogs needs and wants. She communicated that she would be rough with my toy poodle. He's 10 yrs old and doesn't need this stress. She is rude and can't even be respectful towards customers. We took our 7 year old pug here for grooming and to get his nails trimmed. His grooming was great and he was soft and clean but when we got home he drank sooo much water because he wasn't provided water while he was there in his crate (1130am - 4pm) My biggest issue is that I noticed his nails were cut WAY too short. He wasn't limping but if you touched any of his paws it really bothered him and some of the nerves were exposed. One nail even split (not splintered) in half and was jabbing into his paw pad. We took him back first thing the next morning just to show what happened so they could see and explain, and instead of any compassion all we got was "well, we normally charge for this." For what? We wouldn't be back if it wasn't for a mistake someone has made. They brushed it off as normal even though they admitted his nails were too short. It seems as if other people have good experiences here which is good, but I trusted them with my sweet dog and instead he came back injured and all we got was a condescending attitude. I love Ali's dog spa my dog has sensitive skin and they use really good products and she smells good for weeks and she doesn't get all itchy and irritated and they handle her very well she has epilepsy and they do a wonderful job with her. This place was so wonderful! They came highly recommend and they lived up to the hype. When we walked in, it was very relaxed. All the dogs were chill and happy. This is a big deal bc most places there are at least some dogs crying, which stresses out the other dogs. I know dogs can freak anywhere, but I just wanted to note that they kept everyone so happy and calm. They did a fantastic job on my little dog! She looks so cute and smells great. I took my 2 dogs in to be groomed and my request for my chihuahua mix was to have him shaved. His coat gets long. The lady said we don't recommend you shaving him because you can damage the hair follicles. I'm paying for a service and I have had him shaved before. His hair grew back fine. I am used to groomers being friendly to my dogs when I come in. They weren't warm and inviting. They were super expensive! I can go to groomers in Gresham and pay less. When I got my dogs home they both drank a lot of water which is concerning. This was a case where I couldn't find a place because of all of these places being overbooked because of Covid, so I went there. I won't be back. Just wanted to be helpful to anyone thinking this place is good because it isn't. read more

I went to Ally's for a while and it was okay work, but reasonably priced. However, after missing an appointment one time they were really rude about it. Like they're a premier club, or something. However, I took my dogs there anyhow because they needed cut. Then when I dropped them off they mentioned it and I apologized. I went to pick them up a few hours later, and they brought it up again. Furthermore, I scheduled an appointment for three months later, in case I couldn't find anywhere else in time. Then, they don't even bother to call me 3 months later after I requested it. Overall, I would not recommend going here. Their work doesn't accommodate their elitist attitude. read more

I love Ally's Dog Spa, I have been a customer since 2017, Ally and her amazing staff are so good with dogs. I have a elderly, blind and partially deaf black Lab who needs special loving care. My pup is also completley in love with going to Ally's Dog Spa, he totally loves Ally and goes into a state of hillarious worship when he is around her. I love to witness it everytime. Ally is a natural with all animals, and she has a special ability with elderly pups. I am so grateful I always feel so comfortable leaving Zen in the care of Ally and her incredible staff. The space is always so clean, fresh and full of lovely items to purchase before or after your pups visit. I love the prices as they are so fair and I will drive 40 minutes happily to go there. read more

So I haven't been a customer here very long but I will no longer go back. Staff doesn't seem to respect the fact that we are in a pandemic. None of them wore masks until I questioned it and then only one of the three actually put a mask on. They were immediately aggressive and condescending and one of them rolled her eyes at me and tried to justify that the dogs don't respond well to masks so they don't wear them. So about that... every time I went in there I observed dogs barking and crying. On one occasion one dog sounded like they were very distressed. That environment alone stressed me and my dog and he was nervous for hours after we left. They refunded my money and did not trim my dogs nails. I left and called another place that accepted us as clients immediately. The new groomer was soft spoken and kind and the dogs there were calm and relaxed including my dog. Not initially but it didn't take him long to feel more comfortable. AND... they were all wearing masks and were obviously cleaning the table between dogs and taking more precautions for safety. So maybe just by observation... the dogs at Ally's weren't responding negatively to the masks but to the groomers... there are better groomers in Gresham and I encourage anyone considering Ally's to look elsewhere. read more

I would love to give this place a great review, as they do good work. However, in a city of dog lovers, good groomers are a dime a dozen. Customer service is what separates the great from the don't-think-I'll-be-going-back. It isn't that the girls at Ally's are rude. They aren't. But it does take some doing to make a customer feel like they've been taken for a ride, and that's how I felt when leaving this place. I have a standard Schnauzer. He's still small, and won't be over 45 lb. full grown. When I called Ally's to make my appointment, I was told the service would run approximately $50. When I got there to drop my dog off, it was suddenly $65. My pup gets regular brushings and had been groomed before (at a much cheaper rate somewhere else). He had no mattes, no special services needed. The price point was insane, but I was already there, so I went ahead. And again, the girls did a great job, but the news that the rate would be $75 for a grooming when my standard is full grown blew my mind. He isn't a big dog. Never in my life have I paid so much for grooming, and I don't intend to ever pay as much again. And, for all that money, my puppy came home and drank half a bowl of water. They didn't provide him with anything to drink. So that was nice... Sorry, but this place is taking advantage of the fact that there isn't much in the way of dog grooming in Troutdale. And when Gresham is only five minutes away and a fifteen minute drive will save you $25? I'll drive. read more
