First, let me say that when we finally got the service, the technician did a very nice job and our windows look good. That said, scheduling the appointment was a nightmare. I had bought a groupon, and called about 2 weeks before expiration date to schedule an appointment. No problem, a person answered the phone, and we scheduled the appointment, with a prompt email confirmation Unfortunately, it was raining the entire week so we had to re-schedule. From this point on, it was nearly impossible to speak to anyone, or get calls or emails returned. I must've have called 30 times and left over a dozen voicemail messages. The second appointment also had to be re-scheduled, leading to the same horror show of unreturned emails and voicemails. I sympathize with the small business owner, who employs a part-time person off premise to do the scheduling. However, this system is really not working for their business. They provide a good service, but I will never use this company again given the unprofessional way they deal with incoming calls. read more

We scheduled a window washing several weeks prior to it being completed through a Groupon. It was hard to schedule the appointment, my wife couldn't get a hold of anyone. They were schedule to arrive on a Monday. We never received a call to confirm and were out of town so we didn't call. I called early the day of the appointment and left a message. The window washer did come and di a good job on the windows. They wanted to charge extra for screens even though my Groupon included the washing of 15 screens. I wouldn't use them again because there were tough to work with and offered little extra customer service and their prices weren't real good. read more

Unfortunately, they trashed my roof! I have a metal tile roof, which is easily dented. I specifically asked if they had experience with metal roofs. "No problem", they said. After their guy finished my windows, I had hundreds of dented tiles that had to be fixed--it cost me over $500 to fix the damage they did! The owner was unapologetic, and blamed it on me. Live and learn. Definitely don't use these guys if you are worried about damage to your property. read more

If you're looking for a conscientious, detail-oriented, reasonably priced jack-of-all-trades, give Bill Koelenbeek a call! He owns Almaden Valley Window Washing Service....but he does that and oh so much more! I found out by accident when he was doing my windows that he also does home repairs. I think he's renaming his business NuVision as he gets more widely known. He and his capable assistant Mike rebuilt my entire very large front deck for less than a third the cost of everyone else, who all wanted to replace it (of course...). Their price even included pressure washing and painting it, so it was soup to nuts TLC. It looks great. He's repaired a water damaged area under the house. He's redone the front entry tiles which were improperly installed (hence the leak under the house). His latest and greatest project was to put in two beautiful redwood raised vegetable garden beds, complete with scalloped edging, finished corners and irrigation. He's very careful and if he comes across something unexpected (and there are always glitches with old houses), he checks with me and comes up with a solution. He billed me for labor only and gave me all the receipts for materials with no markup. If there's anything he can't fix, I haven't found it yet...electrical, carpentry, painting, irrigation. It's great to have found someone that can actually do an entire job! read more

I, like many others bought the Living Social deal. I was happy with the job that they did. When I called, I was informed that they were behind and that the receptionist was on maternity leave. I was not in a hurry, so it was fine with me. I was informed that I needed to read the fine print better because my windows were not "standard". I had a feeling the deal was too good to be true. My house is old and I have french windows and plots of panes everywhere. The told me that someone would come out and work out a way for me to get something for the deal, but I would not get all my windows done without paying more. The day of the appointment, I was called and told that they were running behind. Kind of annoying, but again, not catastrophic. The owner walked around with me and then told me that most of my windows would be covered, I just had a small amount more to pay. I thought he was completely fair in giving me the living social credit and the price for the rest of the job was fair. My windows look great! I think that even without the Living Social deal, the prices are fair, so I would use them again in the future. read more

Used them through a Groupon deal I purchased. I seem to recall the scheduling of the appointment could have been better... she got the necessary information, but I felt the person taking the appointment could have come across a bit more professional and pleasant on the phone. There could have also been some follow up once the appointment was made confirming everything. These are perhaps minor issues, but I'm fairly sensitive to these types of customer service issues, given its part of my job as well, and these were the only thing preventing a higher rating. Nonetheless, the provider arrived on time as scheduled. I showed the Groupon, and was pleased there was no further haggling, or bait and switch as I've experienced with other companies I had bought "deals" with in the past. I have some very large windows, and I'm always concerned the provider will apply there own definition of what counts as 1 window in order to jack up the price. But there was none of that here. They offered a fair price for a more than fair window count. Best yet... each window is individually hand washed up close. I prefer this much better to Power Window washing services which petty much just shoot down your windows and then wipe them down from afar with a wiper on a pole. Overall, Bob did a great job cleaning my windows. He took the needed time, and then cleaned up and left. Would use again in the future. read more

I have used this company on multiple occasion. I have always had a very positive experience with the workers and the outcome of the job. Bill- the owner takes personal attention to ensure everything comes out perfect. My windows turned out beautifully, they obviously have great technique. My most recent job was to put up my holiday decoration and to clean out my gutters. Bill the owner and one of his employees arrived on time and ready to work! The entire process took. Maybe two hours. Gutters were spotless and all of my Christmas lights/decorations were up! It's so awesome to have a service available to do these things found us! Im not really one for the "dirty" work so I will keep relying on them to get my jobs done :) I would highly recommend this company! SO impressed! I purchased the Groupon deal along with interior washing and screens cleaned. Even if I had paid full price, it would have been totally worth it. The only negative was that it took several weeks before I could get on their calendar but when the owner explained that it was because they did not want to hire people who didn't care about quality, I felt like the wait would be worth it. And it was! Two guys showed up and cleaned all our windows and screens in under an hour. We have a two story house so I wasn't sure how they would do upstairs. It didn't even phase them! They were truly professional. They worked around my dogs with no problem and explained some damage that had been done to the windows (by my dogs, not them). I am not a fan. I paid $110 through Groupon to have them hang Christmas Lights on my house. I scheduled it 5 days in advance because I wanted to be home when they came; so I took the time off from work. Well, THEY DIDN'T SHOW UP! I called to let them know no one came to do the job (had to leave a voicemail), and I NEVER heard back from them. So, this year, I went without Christmas lights on the house. This past week Bill came out and did our windows, thanks to the Living Social coupon. When I made an appt., I knew I wouldn't be able to get in quickly (that is what happens with all these coupon deals now!). I was patient. They offered additional services at additional prices and also offered a discount on them if I waited until September. I didn't want to wait, but did add on inside and screen cleaning. Bill and his assistant were friendly, fast, and efficient. I am very pleased with the work. The appointment time was the only issue. They called to change it a few times. I had scheduled my time around the appointment so I would have liked to have had a window of time given to me originally, rather than one specific time. However, I would use them again. read more

We changed from our regular window washing service due to the Living Social coupon, and we are very glad we did. Bill was very responsive and super easy to deal with. Ours is a very large house with nearly 300 windows on three levels. Most of the windows have screens. Bill and his partner took care with our interiors and exteriors, i.e., booties, draping, and no drips. Their screen cleaning device worked wonders on screens that had been ignored for several years. The cost was very reasonable and quality of service excellent. Arrived on time in Morgan Hill and handed me a business card and introduced themselves. I asked for a price quote for the interior windows (as this was not part of the groupon deal) i was happy with it and asked them to do all windows inside and out. I was very impressed with their professionalism, their attention to detail, they were very thorough with the windows and screens and were very good at cleaning up after themselves. Not only did Bill clean them (both inside and out), I also asked him if he could replace the weather stripping that had cracked over the years.
