Quick history, my mother passed when I was nineteen (I'm now over 50). It wasn't sudden but our family, like most, was very special. Within the past few years, my father gave me the wedding ring that he had proposed to her with. It was a special memento for him - and it was now a very special piece for me too. Combining some additional loose stones that I had acquired over the years - just waiting for a new life, I decided to stop in and visit "Kim Chau Jewelers" to explore options for my vision. It's funny - but I have driven by Staci's store for years but never thought about dropping in to simply look around - my (BIG) mistake! Awesome store!! Staci and I met in person a few times to discuss things - then via text and email to complete the whole process. The real value for any individual looking to create or design a piece of jewelry was that Staci took the time to listen to me and understand not just the history of everything but how I wanted to bring life into my design. (Please see pictures.) The base, in white gold, is tulip-shaped to match my girlfriend's favorite flower. The design of the stones is the Yin and Yang encircling an aquamarine stone, bookended with diamonds that trail down the band. My words aren't enough for the ring and the pictures cannot come close to capturing its elegance. In short, if you are in my position with ANY idea - please give Staci a call. If you don't have a particular direction in mind and are looking for a special piece of jewelry, you will be incredibly impressed with the options that she offers and can make any adjustments that you'd like! It is now 2023 and my family still goes hard on James Avery gifts for birthdays and holidays. James Avery is a Texas staple (which has now expanded to other states). Selling everything from earrings, charms, bracelets, necklaces, rings, etc, you are bound to find something. They have gifts for both men and woman. They have loads of gems and stones to go with your birth month or really for anything. Charms that used to be $12.50 are now a whopping $40 or more. But who cares? If your a James Avery fan, you are a fan forever, at any cost. If you're like me your charm bracelet holds over 40 plus charms. They have charms for colleges, pets, hobbies, life events, charms for any holiday you can think of. Of course, any James Avery enthusiast has their bracelet for the charms. When you purchase a charm, they will add it to the bracelet for free PLUS they clean the bracelet for you. There used to be a time where they would make a retired charm for you, however since the original owner retired a lot has changed. If you want an old charm, look on ebay or a neighborhood facebook group. A couple of times a year they run specials like buy two charms and get a bracelet or something like that.
