    Matcha latte
    Lauren B.

I came on a Thursday at about 11AM. The line was out the door but it took me about 20 minutes to make it to the front. I think overall they have a good process going and you get your drink by the time you ring up. There's a good amount of seating inside and it would be a decent place for study groups. They have a pretty set menu with their specialties being "affirmation lattes". I decided on getting a worthy latte (brown sugar, vanilla, figs, black pepper) but instead of coffee I asked if I could have it with matcha. They said they could do it but when I got the matcha it didn't seem to taste like it had all the notes listed. It's still an alright matcha latte but I just expected a little more. I will say their walnut chocolate chip cookie was really tasty though.

The cutest coffee shop! Love the names of the drinks. Affirmations! I wish NY had something like this. They made my drink so good! It did not disappoint! Look at that latte art! I'm in love!

I am glad I stopped by Iron & Kin Coffee Co. It has a cozy and youthful vibes. It is located inside the Claremont Packing House on the left side toward the end. There is a parking structure next to it, but you can also park in the street. They offer unique coffee, various types of latte, seasonal drinks, tea, matcha. They also have pastries and light breakfast. They have plenty of indoor seating. You also can grab your drink and sit outside in the Atrium. The line was very long but it moved very fast. The staff were very attentive and friendly. The service was excellent. We ordered Strawberry Matcha. The matcha was authentic and creamy with delicate bitterness balanced with strawberries. I ordered mine with oat milk with for an additional one dollar. It's a nice coffee shop to stop by and enjoy a refreshing drink and an excellent customer service.

Cute coffee shop in Claremont. Definitely lots of seating if you want to be productive. The music is a little loud so if you can't focus with that, then reconsider staying here for long periods of time. There are some tables outside of the shop where it's a little quieter. The chai less sweet was creamy and pretty good. My husband got the graceful latte less sweet which has matcha and hints of lavender, ube and vanilla. It's the perfect summer drink. They use matcha from Japan so you know it's legit. Will definitely be back!

Iron & Kin is SO good. Everything we got was a 10/10. The vibe inside is super cute, it's definitely one of those places you could easily sit and yap for hours. The employees were also the sweetest. Everyone was so friendly and made us feel welcome from the second we walked in after run club. Definitely recommend!

The matcha here is so great and I love that they have so many outlets for you to do work here!

Solid coffee shop with great coffee, staff, and artsy vibes . It does get very busy and packed but there is a good amount of seating inside and outside the shop. All the coffee I tried is pretty good. I will say though, if you get the Kind-Hearted Latte, there's always an initial spice kick to the throat from the chillies as well as pieces of solid dried peppers that you will be slurping up (Still one of my favs tho). Totally recommended if you're by the Claremont Packing House!

the flavors are unique and definitely don't lack in depth. I've had chili/chipotle lattes that were grainy and odd tasting in the past so i was apprehensive, but my friend's "kind hearted" hot latte was amazing - chili kicked in at the end and was not overpowering, and neither was the cocoa (which normally is in a latte). my "worthy" (black pepper fig) was good but not as noteworthy, there was less fig flavor. however, staff was super friendly and the space was beautiful! prices are average for coffee, and line was consistently out the door the whole couple hours I was in the area.

This has definitely been said time and time again... but I gotta say, this coffee is life changing. These lattes are bold and full of flavor. There's no hesitation from any of the ingredients, as they all intertwine and create a delicious experience. To be fair, I've only tried the Courageous Latte, but I'd go back every day for it if this place were closer to me! The space itself is well thought out and lively, especially on weekends. The Saturdays I've stopped by, there has been a DJ playing upbeat music. Now be warned, there is a long wait. From other reviews, it seems like there isn't a day where they don't have a line, so be prepared to wait. But rest assured, the wait is worth it.

Was finally able to try this spot! I was greeted very kindly after waiting in a semi long line and the workers were genuinely interested in what we were doing that day and being very kind. Since it was my first time, I ordered something on their menu, the worthy latte and I got mine extra sweet with half & half. I had told one of the workers that it was my birthday and they were so kind and gave me my drink on the house as well as put a candle and let it up for me. Thank you, Aron and Ken for making this such a wonderful experience on my birthday.

Super friendly staff! The cafe is inside a major building and I had trouble finding it at first the matcha tasted like milk first, but after I mixed it around it was perfect! It was more on the sweet side which I prefer. It's a really nice, chill spot to study at.

This place is so cute with soooo much seating. Before we even get to drinks I love their decor so much and the baristas are super friendly!! I got an espresso tonic which was devine but as you can see we got basically every drink on the menu to try (don't worry it was a group of 8). Drinks were definitely worth the line on a saturday morning (be prepared to stand a while and bring company)!

Easter Sunday today- we got up early to grab a coffee and croissant. We Yelped local places to see what was open early today. Usually I go straight to the food reviews before ambience, atmosphere, staff and such etc., but my focus has reversed a bit starting with the atmosphere. The minute my family strolls in, we had this young lady totally stare down my family. I have not ever felt our presence would strike such an unwelcoming or unwanted tone from an establishment. The gentleman at the front counter was pleasant and made some conversation so my mood was put to ease slightly, but he was next to the mean girl and it was hard focusing on the order placement. Excuse the rant but that almost ruined my morning. We sat to try our lattes and it was astonishing to see smiles given to other patrons from a woman who nearly frowned the whole time we were there? This young lady was so rude to me and my children. I can only speculate and I'll keep what I feel off the grid for now. On to the positive stuff (2 stars) the lattes were very tasty. Unique flavor options, a few different types of food items to accompany the latte or teas. Our selection: ham and cheese croissant (mid), Courageous latte-Old Forester Bourbon, Brown Sugar, Organic Cream, Pink Salt- very good HOT. It's nice and clean inside. Iron & Kin, please remember, every paying customer should be welcomed into your establishment no matter what they look like. I mean, why did you start this business anyways? Wasn't it built on a dream for success, entrepreneurship, to serve the community?

Ask the Community - Iron & Kin Coffee Co

Do they have an updated number? I number listed seems disconnected.

    Do they accept cash?

    Yes Cash and card

Do you provide online pick up services ( like grub hub, Postmates )?

    They do not

    Do they serve food?

They do serve a light food menu which is popular at breakfast!

Is this the correct address? I went this morning and ended up in some apartment complex.

You might be better off routing to "Claremont Packing House" or 532 W 1st St, Claremont, CA 91711. Iron + Kin is located inside.

Where is the outdoor seating located?

They don't have designated outdoor seatings just for them but if you exit the left side of the coffee place there are outdoor seatings attached to other restaurants and if they are not open yet. I have seen ppl sit in those areas.

They've got indoor and outdoor seating and they seemed a touch understaffed for being a beautiful day. It was also a Tuesday lunchtime so maybe they weren't expecting it to be as busy as it was. We were able to prove the menu before we got seated. And our super friendly server came out and we were able to order right away. They've got a lunch special. That is a small personal pizza with a salad and we each got that. Salads came out first and I had the arugula salad, which was absolutely phenomenal. 10 of 10 would eat this every single day. The arugula was peppery and it was well dressed in a lemon vinaigrette type sauce. I am a fan of just plain lemon on mine, but this was delicious. My husband got a union salad, which is their specialty I guess. It's got colored carrots and some beets and some shallots. I thought the dressing was bland and it certainly needed salt and pepper. We asked for both and didn't get either. Our pieces came out and they were nice and woodfired. I feel like they could've been done just a little bit longer maybe a minute or two. The sauce was a lovely fresh type crushed tomato sauce. The cheese was nice and gooey and did not feel or taste like a package of processed cheese. Pepperonis were greasy, but in a real meat kind of way. I had to dab mine, but my husband just went to town on his. The pickled peppers is a pickled jalapeño. Big chunks of them. They certainly didn't skimp on any of the toppings. They were a little sweet and a little hot. Some of the big chunks were a little too sweet for my liking but overall, it was a nice flavor mix Also from a size standpoint, I thought the salad and pizza were very adequate for lunch at around $20 price point I asked for salt and pepper again as well as a side of ranch. This time we did get the salt and pepper as well as cheese and crushed red pepper. But we didn't get the ranch until we were leaving. The server did apologize and said he thought someone else was bringing it out but I pretty much deducted a star because we asked for a couple different things that never came. Overall, the service was super friendly, the ambience was nice for an outdoor lunch thought. I thought the menu looked delicious and there were several things I would like to come back and try and I would go back again.

It was so underwhelming. 2 eggs cooked differently, one over hard, one over easy, 5-6 potato pieces and the steak was thin, overcooked, and appeared to be a cheap cut of meat. A New York cut would have been great. Wife mentioned norms has better steak and eggs. Called and spoke with a manager Stephanie, not looking for anything, but to express disappointment in the meal for the high price. She offered to mail a gift card for us and invited us back. Took all of my information and never received it. Thanks anyway. Don't think we'll be back.

The only issues with the food was the hash browns, which were completely unseasoned and not fully cooked. Also, the lobster omelette is tasty but you won't find much lobster in it. Prices are typical prices, but their portions are very generous compared to the price. I also like how large the dining area is and that there is decent space between tables. I looked around the patio area and realized there were two other tables whose patrons were there before us, waiting for drinks and service, just like we were.
