Today I had the worse experience at Alo at the Manhattan Beach location. I used to be excited to come into this store but after today I will purchase on line better. I was humiliated by an employee at the register by telling me if I could leave the register for 10 mins and come back for my price adjustment because there was a long line and he had to ring up customers that were purchasing. I had 2 items in my hands that I was going to purchase but after that humiliation I didn't. I let a manager know about what happened and she was more concerned about the employee giving me the price adjustment. whether I bought a hair clip a pair of socks or a full outfit a customer is a customer and thanks to that customer they have a job. read more

Went into Alo the other day and often shop here. When walking in the person in front bombarded me and was pushing me to buy shoes and try on so much stuff when I was simply wanting to browse. Sometimes people just want to browse and that's okay. He needs to learn a limit. read more

I drove all the way down to this store from Ventura County to shop and do a return. I am in need of some leggings and a huge fan/customer of Alo. After driving 1:45 I needed to use the restroom which is literally 10 ft from the counter and I asked if I could use it and the girl said no, when I pressed she said no again. So I did my return and left, didn't shop. You all have to figure out when a women in her late 50's have to pee, it is the right thing to do to let her use the unoccupied restroom that is on the sales floor, not in the back. I suppose that's what happens when you have 12 year olds working in the store. Alo wants to be a luxury company? Your customers needs should come first. read more

Super rude hispanic guy. Dunno what he was thinking applying for customer service. Had a muscular build and was super rude like he didnt want to be there. Newsflash! if you dont want to be here just leave! no one is making you stay! go be a security guard or something since you want to intimidate people into not being in the store. ugh i hate people like that! read more

So the customer service at Alo is really poor. For a store to charge a fortune for sweatpants and work out wear and not be helpful with the purchase is beyond disappointing. I had got my daughter a set for xmas and when we went in to try and exchange the size, they said they do not have the sizes available but we could check online or wait in line to see if someone at the register could assist in finding it. We waited in line and the person at the register told us to call a store that was about 40 minutes away because they had them in stock. I asked if they could call or if they could get the items delivered to their store or my home, they said no. Then I called the store that supposedly had the items and they said they only had one of the 2 items and did I want to exchange just one of the items instead of both. Everyone was very curt and very matter of fact like, do you want it or not. I have to believe that since I encountered so many people that really could have cared less about making a sale, that this behavior comes from the top. Good luck staying in business with poor customer service and at these prices. Not to mention the quality of your sweats are not even great. I have been washing my daughter's other set inside out and in cold water and the pants are pilling and collect so much lint. I would recommend choosing another brand...there are several to choose from. read more

Andrea Velasco is the sales supervisor at this location and she was so helpful and sweet when I got to the store! She let me try on all the clothes and helped me pick out some items too! I'm super excited to try the shampoo and conditioner. She helped me style some pieces together and helped me pick out all the right sizing. Everything I purchased is such high quality and all the pieces are ones that I will wear for the rest of my life. I love the thick material and the coziness of all their pieces. This location is also pretty big and has lots of variety. Thank you Alo for your awesome service and clothes! read more

Just had a very poor interaction at this store and will not be returning. I tried to exchange a hoodie I had mistakenly purchased without trying it on. I wore it once and did not like the fit/style (was really boxy with no shape) I have the receipt and tag. I told the employee at the desk I would like to exchange for a different style and she said somewhat rudely "I need to check first and make sure it's in return condition" She then pulled it out of the bag like it was something truly disgusting and then peered at it over and over inspecting every inch then told me she could not accept as a return because she found some area where she could tell it had been worn. I had already told it I had worn it once and did not like the style/fit. She told me she Could not accept as exchange and then had the nerve to try and tell me the same hoodie came in different colors and maybe I could try and buy one of those instead. After I had said I wanted to exchange for a different style hoodie bc I didn't like the fit/style- she's refusing my exchange then trying to tell me I can go buy the same hoodie in a different color? Yeah, no. I will not be back. Lots of other stores in area selling similar fitness gear in same price range with better products and return/exchange policies. read more

The men's section is truly sad. 95% of store is only women's clothing. Very disappointing.

Came to try a coat on at 7:45pm and the gentleman said they were closed. When I called they said the store closes at 8pm.

I came across Alo Recently and fell in love with the clothes! I especially loved how comfortable their trousers are! Their sales manager Andrea Velasco was so sweet and such a great help! She answered all my questions and showed me so many options in the Styles I liked. The customer service was honestly better than I could have imagined. I am definitely coming back. read more

went here on thursday last week and I was a little wary considering the reviews. but i had an awesome experience! julia was in the fitting rooms and completely styled me! i had no idea what i wanted to get when i came in and ended up not loving everything i tried on! but julia pulled a bunch of outfits from the back for me to try on and was SPOT ON! so funny that we have the same name! she picked out the cutest outfits for me and i'm in love. will be back soon! read more
