I went into Alo Yoga today, and for the most part, my shopping experience was pleasant... until I got to checkout. Now this is a pretty expensive store for yoga gear, so I walked in expecting a certain level of professionalism and a pleasant experience from start to finish. The cashier, though, had that kind of energy where she was both rude and nice at the same time--if that even makes sense. It was like, polite on the surface, but underneath it felt like, "Ugh... really?" I asked a few simple questions and she seemed a bit annoyed, and when I asked for tissue paper, she gave it to me--but the way she put it in the bag? You could feel the attitude behind it. It's funny how one small interaction at the end can shift the whole experience. When you're paying premium prices, you expect a premium experience--and that part just didn't match. read more

I came here first thing in the morning to do some Christmas shopping and absolutely loved my experience. The store is stocked with so many cute items that I ended up spending more than I planned...in the best way possible. The staff member who helped me, Liliana, was incredible. She truly went above and beyond to make sure I had everything I needed and that my experience was enjoyable. She even addressed me by my first name, which made the experience feel personal and welcoming. She was so friendly and attentive, and I'm honestly glad she helped me because I probably wouldn't have walked out with all the amazing items I picked up for myself and for Christmas gifts. My Experience with Alo Yoga's Rewards Program and Customer Service I have been a loyal Alo Yoga customer for years and have spent a significant amount of money supporting this brand. Throughout that time, I participated in their rewards program with the understanding that my purchases would allow me to earn points that could later be redeemed for rewards. For several months, I repeatedly checked the rewards section to use the points I had earned, but there were never any meaningful rewards available. I have screenshots documenting that I consistently checked and found no available options. When I contacted customer service, I explained that my concern was not about receiving a discount or a special offer. The issue is that these were rewards I earned through my own purchases and loyalty to the company. I was not asking for a favor or compensation -- I was asking for access to the benefits I earned. Unfortunately, my experience with customer service was extremely disappointing. Instead of addressing the lack of availability and the customer experience issue, I repeatedly received responses referring to terms and conditions and was offered a discount code. A 10% discount does not reflect the value of the purchases and loyalty I have provided over the years, nor does it resolve the issue. I believe customers should be able to trust that loyalty programs provide real and accessible benefits. My concern is the lack of transparency and the feeling that the rewards program was promoted without a realistic opportunity for customers to use the points they earned. After this experience, I no longer feel comfortable supporting the brand. I am sharing my experience so other customers can be aware of what happened and make informed decisions. I'd give a negative rating if I could. Customer service skills no matter who walks in. Very disappointing in the team of ladies who worked in the store today June10th around 12ish. A group of 4 ladies standing around in a huddle giving "mean girl" energy. No one in the store attended to my daughter or asked if she needed help. So sad to see and experience as a consumer in this high inflated economy.. To the young lady in the back of the store near the dressing room who finally asked how could she help and what she needed. I've always had super pleasant experiences at this Alo shop ! The staff are always warm and kind to me. They are also super happy to help with styling and pulling items that I didn't know existed but would like !! If something doesn't workout, doing returns here is also pretty easy. read more

I was in the Manhattan Beach store today and found so many things that I loved. The staff was incredibly friendly and nice and welcoming to me (and my pup!) I had two people helping me and both were happily showing me the beautiful fall green color collection. At one point, I even mentioned that I loved a cream sweater but wished it was not cropped. The sales associate helping me (possibly the manager) said, "We really take suggestions to heart." I guess several customers wished the same thing about the length. The selection at this store was great and the store was very clean and well-organized. I think ALO's prices are on par with any of the upscale athletic wear companies and I love that they always have something new. I usually shop in the Beverly Hills store but am happy to go to Manhattan beach to shop here! read more

I got to see a manager in "action" a couple of days ago and I can say confidently after seeing how the manager handled the persons "concerns " most of the bad reviews are more than likely from entitled people who don't know common sense , never worked in retail, or feel entitled to favors because they were never told no I really love my community village and my family loves this store. Went on a Saturday and was ready for all that "rudeness", but alas! I was greeted by Andrea who grabbed ALL THE PANTS for me. I love pants. And they have the long ones! Everyone was really nice and efficient. I gotta give props to Kyla at the dressing room too. She's hilarious and kept me company as I tried on a million things. One star off just cuz this shit is EXPENSIVE, (and the Kardashians are gross and affiliated somehow... ew). Alo is one of the first stores we stopped at. I got my girlfriend and I some comfy coats and shoes. They have nice men and women's clothing. They also have sports and yoga wear too. I have not taken a yoga class tho. But we found some gear we liked, and the service was good here too. We will visit again. read more

Do not shop this location. The reviews are indeed true, poor very poor customer service. I have an online order and called the store for over an hour no answer. I even called the customer service line and was told me it's my responsibility to call the store not them. Finally I got a hold of someone and explained that I couldn't pick up my order as I was terribly sick but I'll be there first thing in the morning. He was very dry and said no that couldn't be done. After explaining myself a second time he finally says he'll see what can be done. Hopefully my order will still be there in the morning. I will NEVER SHOP THIS BRAND AGAIN. read more

I come here because it's local but honestly will start driving to Del amp or Century city from now on. I been waiting 15 min because they simply can't find my 2 nd order. It's actually ZERO star! Attention ALO HR and corporate! Assistant manager Hugo and assistant manager Maria do not know how to do simple cashier tasks there at Alo Manhattan beach! Hugo messed up my returns where the refunds I was supposed to get did not register in the system therefore Alo did not release my refund! Maria tries to cover up and defend Hugo's incompetence. I need their HR and upper management to deal with these employees' incompetence to say the least. They represent Alo and their behavior is a shame to the reputation of ALO. The service was completely unprofessional, we went to pick up an order and we were waiting for a while. The first person that helped us, she was nice and assisted us right away. But we just kept waiting. Then another person approached us, and we asked to find our order, waited for a while. She then proceeded to go and say hello to her friends that had entered the store, chatted with them, then finally remembered we were still waiting for our order. Went back to look for it, and finally after 30 minutes she brought our order out. We actually had a reservation somewhere else we were late for. Completely not okay, and unprofessional. If I could rate this a -0 I would, the sales associate that I assume is the "greeter" either you don't like Black people or you don't think that a black person can afford the items in the store. I didn't even shop for anything because you would've thought my name was Casper. I was not acknowledged once by the four sales associates I saw in the store, and the greeter acknowledged every person entering an exit in the store besides me and stared at me at least three times, but did not utter a word to me. This is really sad that you would judge somebody on their skin color and not even acknowledge them for entering the store that you work in, you guys need to do better with whom you're hiring because it's truly rude and disrespectful that you can't even have a pleasant shopping experience because no one in the store will greet you because you're the only black person in the store. This is ridiculous, and I suggest that the HR representatives of this organization trained the people that they're hiring. I visited the Alo store today, November 14th, at 11:30 am, excited to purchase a set I'd been eyeing. At the entrance, I asked the associate (wearing an Alo pleated skirt) if they had the matching top for a skirt I found on display. She mentioned it could be in the back but, as I was in a rush, I told her I'd return later. When I came back around 1:15pm, I saw her again and asked if she could find the top in the back. Without checking, she quickly replied, "No, we don't have it." This felt dismissive, especially since the store wasn't busy. At checkout, I asked another associate if they had the top, and she promptly found one in the back, allowing me to complete the set I wanted. I left feeling disappointed. The first associate seemed uninterested in offering assistance, which put a damper on the experience in such a beautiful location. I hope the store management sees this and considers reinforcing the importance of consistent, attentive service across all team members. read more

This location is a solid OK. Upon walking in I was greeted and that was nice. The sales associate showed me a cute pair of pants to try on so I was HYPE! However, after being sent to the fitting room someone came to check on me and ask how things were going almost right after I closed the fitting room door (I was putting my bag down and hadn't even taken my own pants off). I don't know if this is the same girl who helped me at the front or what but it was so weird lol Overall, I felt uncomfortable here (maybe from the fitting room thing ) and probably will shop online if I do end up getting the pants I tried on earlier. read more

I really want to like this store but their customer service and support are awful. The rep was trying to charge a customer for her items while discussing my return issue with me. Want to start off by saying this Alo Store is AWESOME! 5/5 recommend Was chasing down a crew neck for my wife and it led me here! I called the store and Brittany was an an absolute gem! She was patient on the phone and 1) found the item, 2) worked with me in getting it purchased and then worked with me again in getting all my information correct to be able to ship to me. The guy in front (late 20s-early 30s, skinny) and I presume to be the manager, is extremely annoying and overly pushy, almost to the point where it just seems overly sales-y. I just wanted to browse and look around, and he would not stop pushing those Alo shoes, "recovery shoes", that btw are not that comfortable and don't last. He just seems overly fake and like he's compensating too hard and it rubs me the wrong way. I feel bad for the employees who have to deal with him. Def gives me red flags read more

Gunner greeted me as I walked in and was super friendly, helpful and awesome! He asked if I was looking for anything specific and also looked for sizes when I showed him what I was looking for. I was able to purchase a new vest that matches my outfit. Everyone in the store location was so nice, the employees on the floor, in the dressing room and at check out. I asked her to help me find an alo soft baby tee in a size large and she proceeded to say that I would need to find another store. I again asked for several items to which she said they would be "in the back" but then ignored me for the rest of the experience. I was not helped by most of the staff but her rude attitude made my trip to this location the most unpleasant. She was rude and initially refused to take the sweater back. When she finally agreed, she made a disgusted face, which felt incredibly disrespectful. After she handed me the correct size, I proceeded to pay, only to witness her discussing the situation with another employee in a very unprofessional manner.
