I finally made an appointment for my pup after I noticed a few changes in her including a bump under her arm pit. I suspected it was a fatty cyst but I wanted to be sure. Though my normal vet it just as good, it is hard for me to get out to her because of her hours and locations so I decided to make an appointment with the vet that I had seen being a great supporter of helping strays and no-kill shelters. First it was a bit hard to find, I thought I had misunderstood Waze/Google Maps but then I called and the phone message told me exactly where they were. Even then the door is unsuspecting; luckily there was a man with his dog right outside so he assured me the heavy warehouse backdoor looking door was the entrance and I went it. Now, my dog is from the Humane Society so I believe she is has trauma associated with kennel feeling places. Yes, this vet does not look like your normal hygienic, white tile vet clinics. (Just a warning) it looks like a kennel pop up in a warehouse. It is one big studio apartment situation where there are no dividers between the front and the back, though the exam rooms are built out rooms with doors. Its different is all I'm saying. My dog somehow felt this was HHS-like as she was drooling a little bit. but.... Dr. Kelly was as nice as could be. After a full day of work (we were one of the last appointments) she still bent down to examine my dog who was sitting on my lap. She explained that is was a strategy to help dogs feel comfortable. We did lab work and she addressed all of my concerns. She gave me the results that had already concluded which included assuring me that my dog's eyes were not an early symptom of dog diabetes, and informed me that she would call me with the rest of the results the following day. Which they did along with letting me know the price of the medications that Hanai needed to take. I picked it up after work that day & they let me take a picture of Hanai's test results as this would be her base line being it was the first blood work she had ever done. In fact, all along the way Dr. told me the prices of the procedures she was recommending to be sure it was something I could afford to do. That was nice as I knew my exact bill before I got back to the front to pay. All in all, I will definitely be back as needed and continue to support such a caring vet and to receive great veterinary care. read more

Thank you to all the staff at Aloha Affordable Veterinary Clinic for caring for our dear Zoey. We thought she was pregnant but ended up having other medical issues. They were very caring and took care of Zoey not asking for any down payment and made sure of Zoey's health first than money. We had call all over and the first thing they asked is down payment even before seeing her. She's still not out of the woods yet but knowing someone there that care enough about our Zoey is commendable. They even cut her nails. They are our blessing for today. Dr. Kelly is the most compassionate veterinarian I have ever met. She is smart, loves to educate, and understands the struggles of pet ownership. She strives to keep her costs as low as possible so that all animals can get the veterinary care they need and deserve. I can't think of a procedure we haven't done with Dr. Kelly and staff. We have done enucleations (eye removals), amputations (limb and tail), wet-to-dry bandaging for massive wounds, spay/neuter, treatment for URIs and ringworm, and much, much more. Although her prices are low, her quality of care is beyond what most high-cost veterinary clinics offer. Dr. Kelly and her staff regularly do outreach and pro bono work for rescues. She takes time out of her busy schedule to give back. When people have concerns about things that have happened or unforeseen complications occur, she takes the time to correct them. She will goes as far as meeting you at the clinic during off-hours to get you what you need. Not only do I trust our rescue's cats with her, I trust my personal animals with her as well. Today, we euthanized a kitten with her. I can tell you from experience that there's no vet you want in the room during the worst moment of your life more than Dr. Kelly. Took our 13 week old Frenchie, Champ, to Dr. Kelly for the first time for his last round of puppy vaccinations. The office is a little hard to find, but I asked one of the security guards I saw in the parking lot and he pointed me in the right direction. You have to drive in by the Goodyear Tire garage and it's in the corner. You'll see a sign on a stand by the door. The staff was really nice and check-in was quick. It's a no frills kind of place. Champ got his vaccinations, his flea and tick chewable, his heart worm meds, and a nail trim. Dr. Kelly was great and answered all of my questions. One of her technicians assisted her and Champ didn't even flinch for his shots or during the nail trimming. Our bunny died here after a routine neutering. A four month old completely healthy bunny. Dr. Kelly was rude, dismissive and acted as though it was no big deal. -The initial appointment was set for earlier in the month on a Monday. They said they would confirm the appointment the day before and give us the time to arrive for drop off. At 7 am on Monday morning we get an email asking us to be there at 7:30 am. They open at 8 am. They tell us they can't get us in that day. Fine, myself and my daughter both took off of work but that's life. They reschedule us for today at 9 am. My daughter has a confirmation email with 9 am, she calls to confirm this time. We arrive at 8:50 and call from the car. First the receptionist says they don't have us down. Then she says we were supposed to be there at 8, and then 8:30. Then she talks to (someone) and comes back and says they're very busy with surgeries today and we need to reschedule. At this point I am very irritated because I have again taken the day off and so has my daughter and we have a confirmed appointment. They are acting like we are crazy and just showed up randomly. Receptionist goes and talks to (someone) again. *they put us on hold multiple times* She says they can "squeeze us in". I am not happy with this verbiage, I don't want anyone rushing through this procedure because they messed up the schedule. They put me on with Dr. Kelly who has an attitude of peppy passive aggression, she ASSURES me they have a light surgery day, he will be taken care of. We come home and they call saying surgery is over and we can pick him up. 20 min later they call back that he has died. My daughter got the first two calls and she was absolutely devastated. I called them back and was very angry. Dr. Kelly was condescending, rude and acted like this was no big deal. She got quite uppity when I used the f word as in "I need some f'ing answers on how this happened." I would NEVER send anyone here. We picked up our babies remains and took him to another vet for cremation. -I find it a very strange coincidence that after an awkward and confrontational back and forth in the morning before the appointment that our baby died shortly after surgery. Do I think they hurt him on purpose? No. Do I think they are negligent and heartless. Absolutely. read more

They are great! Amazing prices. The only suggestion I would have is MAKE AN APPOINTMENT! I waited 3 hours to get in for my super sick kitty. They did warn me that it was anywhere from 30 min to 2 hours but oh my goodness... it was long. I think if they are going to accept walk ins then they should try and plan for it. By word of mouth I found them and absolutely love everything from the prices to the services to the customer service. It feels like a family every time I go in. They really seem to care not only about the animals well being but for the people faced with decisions. I recommend them to any and everyone one. There are get bundles to get kittens fix, and when it comes to surgeries whether it is amputation or Feline Eyelid Agenesis their prices really can't be beat. If I could give zero stars I would. The veterinary assistant was a doll and so sweet, however the "dr" refused to even look in my pets mouth (we were in for a broken tooth) claiming he was aggressive when he had never been there before and he is not aggressive at all as I was with them the entire time and he laid next to me. I proceeded to pry his mouth open and she still wouldn't look, but told me his tooth needed to be pulled. weird how you can tell that without even seeing in his mouth. then made me muzzle him (they refused to go near him to do it) if you are not comfortable with big dogs then do not take them as a patient. he is a NINE MONTH OLD rottweiler; which i had said on the phone the day prior when talking with the people in the office. how on earth are you going to do a mouth procedure when you are too scared to even go near him. was also told they would not do the procedure unless he was neutered and that if he wasnt when he went in they would do it despite me saying i did not want him neutered. pretty weird for a veterinary office and very unprofessional and was an overall uncomfortable experience. would not recommend in general, if have a bigger dog then 110% do NOT go here. read more

Unfortunately in that situation, service goes down the tubes because the business needs to get as many clients in and out in a hurry to keep up with their costs. Sadly, corners are cut, quality of care declines, and creative pricing is implemented. The businesses number one goal becomes MONEY. That's why they don't like it when their savvy customers ask questions that they don't like to answer. Called to ask if they do an umbilical hernia surgery, I have another vet who says this is a very simple procedure. The receptionist told me all the vets at this clinic do not feel comfortable doing this procedure unless you neuter or spay, I told her I don't feel comfortable neutering my dog because he is still a very young puppy. They refused to do the procedure even though it could be life-threatening (intestines can get wrapped and tangled) because they wanted to force me to neuter. I felt very uncomfortable. read more

I have seen referrals to the vet office over and over on social media. So we got a kitten and my vet for my dog could not see the kitten for over a week and I had taken vacation and was looking for an appointment for the end of the week. So I called and was able to get in. YES we are in a pandemic and a shut down order so I was completely understanding that we are doing business via our cars. I was surprised I didn't have to do any paperwork they didn't ask for my name address or anything. Things went fine, because its the first time my teenager ever had a cat we had several questions. So the VET herself came to the car after the shots and and answered all of our questions. We were very happy. (except they forgot to chip) We wanted to get a neutered they explained what time frame to come back ects.. what to expect if we didn't everything was great! fast forward to yesterday month later. We have our neuter appointment drop off at 7:30- 8am I arrive 7:35 call they took awhile to come out but that's ok.. I started seeing more and more cars come and park. The tech comes out with paperwork..(finally) then there was a second sheet that asked for ala carte shots with prices. I tell the tech over and over that I don't know check your records what shots have already been done. Her answer to me was always I don't know but you need to check yes or no. Since she won't check their records and I didn't know I selected no. 1:30 rolls around remember I had a 7:30 -8:00 am appointment haven't heard from them I call to check up. I am told his doing great! Because he hasn't had surgery yet. Pickup is 4pm. 3:30 I get a call he's ready. I go I get their maybe 3:45 they bring him out in the carrier go over the after care. No showing me where his stickers are (still don't know) she dumps the cat in my car and walks away. In the parking lot I take the cat out and he's dead, not literally dead but he hasn't awaken from the anesthesia yet. I was crying, I look around and they have now delivered probably 15 cats or dogs to others all in cones.. The dogs were all walking fine and my cat can't even hold its head up. If I had wanted a van style neuter program I would have done the big fix. I wanted a vet that watched my pet after surgery that cared for my pet.. NEVER will I return and I can not recommend them unless you are looking for a vet that just does a million surgeries in one day and hope by the time they get to yours they are not too tired. I feel horrible that I didn't take him my dogs vet and had just waited for the opening and got grade "A" service. By the way we also have a vet for our bird (feather n fur) so we are experienced pet owners and vet care.. this was very Human Society substandard vet care when it really counted during a surgery, my kittens life was at state. read more

Don' be fooled by the name of this vet. A couple of things. 1. When I took my dog for her 1 year check up they asked if I wanted her nails cut. I said ok thinking it was free of charge. But when I got the bill...they charged me $15. Most other places charge $5 or $10 or no charge. 2. They were a little rude when I got there. I called them & said I was standing outside & she said can you just wait in your car in an awful tone. She could have been nicer. Think they need to take some customer service & phone etiquette classes. 3. Don't buy interceptor plus from them. One box of 6 is $60. Blue Cross sells the exact same one for only $43. 4. Lastly, they answer the phone then out you on hold for over 10 minutes. I call back & it goes immediately to bring out on hold. No one even answers. read more

Love everyone here, even our pup does too! Which says a lot since he hates going to the vet. They are really caring and truly put your pet first. They have specialists and if you can't meet their schedule, they are happy to refer you elsewhere so that they know your pet is in good hands. I do often feel a bit rushed when asking questions about my pet, or have wait long times when dropping off/calling in. Prices are very fair, and they were willing to squeeze us in last minute because our dog was being relocated internationally. Due to covid, flight schedules were being changed and cancelled. This was extremely frustrating but we were able to get our dog the required health certificates and letter of Acclimation to travel both domestically to LAX and then of to her family out of the US. Only complaint is that because they are so busy the wait was a little long and they have a policy that you must stay in your vehicle and are not allowed into the facility. read more

We were looking to get our dog neutered when we came across Aloha Affordable Veterinary Services. The Hawaiian Humane Society is currently not doing the Neuter Now Program so we had to call around to find a vet that was more affordable to us. Aloha Affordable Veterinary Services was in price range and seemed very customer friendly over the phone. Driving from Makaha we came out to see them and due to COVID they were still doing curbside. Although I would've really liked to be in the room with my dog son, I understand their precautions. They had us park outside and they came to take our boy in. He's super friendly so I know they would have an easy time with him. Anyway, so far things are looking up. Cannot say enough about this place. They have come to our rescue more than once with our make kitties. After rushing our Kitty to the VAC emergency clinic on Thanksgiving evening the next day he still seemed off. Called a vet we have seen close to home, explained what happened, and was flooffed off, told they couldn't fit us in.
