My Baby Grey had extensive surgery and it was done very well at Pearls Veterinary Surgery. There were more internal problems then expected but Dr Carter dug through to complete the job. The stitching is so neat and clean on his belly. Other places have made Frankenstein surgery cuts on other cats I know so I was relieved about my Baby Grey. The surgery price is reasonable also. Brought my dog here for a neuter surgery. I heard about this place from a friend and decided to e-mail them right away to inquire. Response time was quick and transparent. I was given an estimate and was asked to let them know when/if I wanted to schedule. Dropped my dog off at around 8:30am and picked him up at 2pm. Procedure was fast and the staff kindly texted me updates regarding the surgery! They were extremely friendly and helpful. I felt like I was educated properly and left feeling like I had everything I needed to aid my dog in recovery. I was also given 5 days of pain medication for my dog who took it well. This was my second time coming to this veterinary surgery clinic. First time was for my cat's neuter and now for my dog's. My dog had an undescended testicle, so it wasn't a typical neuter, but the doctor and staff handled everything so well. Everyone was super kind, easy to talk to, and very informative. I let them know my dog doesn't do well with other dogs, and they were nice enough to let my husband and I wait in their break room until it was time for my dog's surgery, which I really appreciated. Nothing short of amazing service and of course care! We were desperate to have three kittens payed and neutered but different vets quoted between $500-1000 for each kitten!! No way we could swing that. These were kuttens who were dumped on our property. We already have our own cats and didn't want more, but we also didn't want them having even more kittens for us, either. Enter Pearl's! What a lifesaver they were for us!! Best veterinary experience I've ever had! My 7-year-old dog had a mass growing on his chest. I first took him to our regular vet, who advised us to simply monitor it and make sure it didn't rupture. A month later, the mass did rupture and was bleeding with pus. We rushed him to an emergency vet, where they ran tests totaling $2,700. When I asked for the results, they told me, "We're not too sure." After waiting another week for the biopsy, they came back with, "We can't tell if it's cancer or not." So that was $2,700 out of pocket with no real answers. I then took him to another vet, who said my dog, Pili, was too big for them to operate on and recommended Pearl's Vet. From the moment I called to schedule the appointment, it was a true 5-star experience. Their team was friendly, professional, and incredibly knowledgeable. They were even able to perform the surgery the same day I brought Pili in. I previously lost another dog to a similar issue, so I was emotionally preparing for the worst. But Pearl's Vet took the time to explain every detail of the procedure and even walked me through the facility where Pili would be treated. After I dropped him off, I went home and received a text from the office asking how I was doing. In over 40 years of owning dogs, I've never had a vet check on me during my pet's surgery. When it was time to pick Pili up, the staff was again amazing--thoroughly explaining his medications, the healing process, and what to expect. They continued to check on us every day, which meant so much. For the level of care, compassion, and professionalism we received, I would have paid any amount. Pearl's was literally one-quarter of the price quoted by the other vet offices, and the service was far superior. Dr. Carter and the staff of Pearl's Veterinary Surgery are very competent and compassionate. It may sounds cliche, but it's very true that it felt like a family not a business. Other clinics feel very cold and monetized by comparison. Dr. Carter took the time to explain all the procedures and why they were needed. He told me how to care for my dog, Bangtan post-operation and what symptoms would be problems. If there were any concerns he said to call or come back. The post-operation care memos for the two procedures was also very concise and documentation (labwork and reports specific to my pet) for the visit was very through. They were also very affordable (other clinics were twice or three times as much) and fast (we were able to get an appointment within the week and they completed everything in one day). The Hawaiian Humane Society referred us to Pearl's because my dog had an undescended testicle which would require a second incision and also he is 4-years-old. Since Bangtan was going to be under general anesthesia, Pearl suggested checking/cleaning his teeth and it was a very good suggestion because the x-rays showed that he had an impacted back tooth/bone that needed to be extracted and two damaged/diseased front teeth. I knew about the front (I could see them) but I didn't know about the back and it was probably hurting him. I am so grateful for Pearl skill and kindness! read more

I brought in a foster kitten who survived a traumatic incident with 4 complex fractures for a spay and follow up x-rays. Dr. Carter took time to show me the x-rays and explain what he and the specialist he consulted with thought, and post-op Lucy was eating and playing as if nothing had happened. Lucy never scratched the tiny smooth incision site because there was very little inflammation. Everyone at Pearl's is efficient and nice.
