However, when we received the photos from our session just 24 hours later, we were truly amazed. The images showcased us as the happiest and most beautiful family. Let me set the scene on the real image 2 exhausted parents side eyeing each other and their kids running around in the sand. We've lost complete control of them and are actually trying to control 3 children under the age of 5. They are losing their exhausted minds, while our photographer made miracles happen, capturing the essence of our time on the island. The photographer worked wonders, and it was evident that she dedicated hours to editing our photos. We left the beach that day feeling the onlookers rethinking any thoughts of having children but in contrast, our family appeared in the photos as if we were living our best day on the island, radiating joy and warmth. Going in know it's not cheap. Put it in your budget because it's something that you will have FOREVER. Remember that they are very good at what they do. In my case I checked around and it's just a little less than most but better quality and EXCELLENT customer service. Went in just wanting one family photo and I bought all of them on the thumb drive. We met in person the week of the wedding and walked around the venue to plan which areas would be good to take our group photos on the day of, and also because she wanted to see how the sunlight would be at the time of our ceremony and reception. This preparation and attention to detail came through in the images we got back from our wedding day. On the big day, Molly and her assistant, Lux, were on time and quickly got to work capturing all of the important, as well as the easily overlooked, moments of the day. From the final hour of preparation before walking down the aisle, to standing at the alter, to the dinner & reception, Molly and Lux were never in the way, but rather stealthy captured amazing pictures without distracting from the event itself. Having been to weddings in the past where the sound of the camera distracted from the vows, or the photographer blocked guests from seeing the ceremony or speeches - we were so lucky to have had these moments captured without any distraction - so much so that some friends later commented that they didn't know we had a photographer during parts of the day. And then to the quality of the pictures Molly captured - absolutely stunning and so artistic. Family and friends have continued to comment on just how amazing the pictures turned out. The day of the ceremony, she was very easy-going and creative--even climbing up a nearby tree to capture a few unique shots (the circle of feet in white rubber slippers), most of which have become our favorite shots of the day! After seeing the cliff shot, I knew we had to book Angie as our photographer. She was the reason we decided to elope in Maui. In a leap of faith, we booked Angie a year and half in advance and started planning an elaborate wedding for two without ever having been to Maui or meeting any of our vendors in person until the week of our wedding. Angie was a dream to work with! She is such a genuine, kind, and funny human being. It was like we had known her forever. We had two days with Angie and she made us feel comfortable and relaxed the entire time! The energy she exudes makes the shoot fun...you forget that you're even taking pictures and can just enjoy being happy and in the moment. Out of the three photographers I contacted, Angie was the most prompt in responding to my emails. She was the also the most helpful & detailed oriented amongst the three. I decided to go with Angie because not only did I love her style, I appreciated that she had great customer service and a fun/ bubbly personality ~ I am soooo glad that we decided to go with Angie. Not only did she make us feel super comfortable during the shoot ( the hubby can be awkward in front of the camera and it could be challenging with a 15 month old), she was super accommodating in bringing the props and staying later so we can get the " money shots" at the second location. I am so extremely disappointed with the lack of service by this company. I spent a considerable…read moreamount of time reviewing their floral offerings on their website before finally settling on one design. I specifically chose the design I did because of the floral content as well as the color scheme. I specifically chose one that did NOT have bold colors. I even spoke to the shop the day after I placed the order to confirm delivery time and no mention was made at all about needing to make any changes. This business apparently uses an iPhone for their business phone and employs text messaging. That's not a problem at all however it does demonstrate the ease at which communication regarding changes could have been. Instead they chose to use completely different and cheaper flowers in what they delivered vs what I ordered. I say cheaper because anyone who knows anything knows that mums are cheap and when it comes to Hawaii so are bird of paradise. They grow everywhere. I was told that "some of the flowers were out of season". Which ones? The noticeably missing ORCHIDS? I'm supposed to believe that orchids were "out of season" on a Hawaiian island where orchid leis abound? All I wanted was what I ordered. Nothing more, nothing less. It was intended to be for my sister who was getting married and it cost me $157!! If I wanted the flower type they gave me, I could have ordered a significantly LARGER arrangement for less money!! In the screenshots you can see the shop insisted they would go pick it back up and they would reach out to the bride. I felt this was disruptive but whatever. Well, they NEVER did that. This matters because of how they handled my dispute with PayPal. When I tried to follow up (as seen in the text conversation) they blocked me. I tried calling and it wouldn't even ring it was immediately sent to voicemail. That's what happens when you're blocked. I opened a dispute with PayPal since there was no further way for me to communicate. They first offered me $75 as a partial refund. Unacceptable. I'm not paying even $1 for something I didn't order. It takes time to move through the dispute process so approximately 2 weeks later they did offer a full refund. The catch? They wanted the item returned with a tracking number. What a scam. They knew full well that wasn't possible and would cause the case to be decided in their favor and they get to keep my money. What was I supposed to send them? A box of random dead flowers? Those flowers were long dead and in a Hawaiian landfill somewhere. They could have had their product back had they gone and picked it up like they said. They never even attempted to reach out to her. If I could give them zero stars I would. I'm not one to make negative reviews, I prefer to leave positive reviews because there are never enough of those, especially for small businesses. These people cheated me out of my money and I would never recommend them to anyone. Ever. I think they know how to work the system and have likely done this to people before. Shame on you for taking advantage of anyone in this economy where folks can barely afford groceries. Definitely no mahalo here.
