My husband I recently got married in Waikiki. We had a small reception with 24 people and Aloha Beer company was the perfect place to host our loved ones for a reception. Mel was super responsive and easy to plan with. Their bartenders, Patrick and Ciera did an amazing job supporting us during the event. Really great beers and a fun ambiance! First, I want to give a shout out to the amazing valet guy. Be warned you do have to pay $5 and tax to valet, but the guy who took our car was SO friendly that it was totally worth it. He was literally sweating bullets at the end of the night to run around and get everyone's car for them. Great effort and I appreciate his energy! Really tempted to review bomb the establishment, the experience left me in such a fowl mood... but after reading online reviews, you can tell this place needs help and a 1 star isn't gonna help. Has there been turn over lately? Are these new staff members? Stalky white guy, mid 50s, short hair, who I can only assume is the brewery manager. I'm sorry your labeling machine was on the fritz, but you left your forklift in the middle of a walk way, w/ the forks at chest height. you literally watched me contemplate walking under the forks or thru the forklift before I asked about accessing the bathroom, then you played dumb and suggest I walk around.... if could have walked around, I WOULDN'T HAVE ASKED FOR HELP; DERP! the 2nd person I encountered w/in mins of arrival, attitude. The next serving of attitude came from backwards hat guy, yea, you know the guy. Several inappropriate/unprofessional (yes, for a bar) remarks under his breath, to staff or customers. It was slow around lunch, you could hear everything he was saying. I had to argue w/ the guy because my burger came w/ ZERO sauce and he said it was $1 if I wanted extra condiments. He got into a tif w/ another guests because she ordered a mix drink and there was no one around to make it; lil bit of attitude and forced her to order a beer instead. The gal behind the bar was nice, but she seemed rushed and ultimately disappeared for a brewery tour. This was part the problem, though it was relatively empty, 3 of the staff disappeared for a tour, leaving backwards hat guy as the only man on deck. you should have a coverage plan for when 3 staffers are taken away for a brewery tour. I don't know your staffing strategy, but I'd argue less staff and a higher standard of service, ability, attitude, w/ the accompanied pay, would most likely provide a better guests experience. There should be established standards and expectations, if those aren't met, coach as best as possible or move on. Cleanliness - if you're "open for business" then you should be OPEN for BUSINESS - mens bathroom had a 3ft wide puddle in it, w/ ~8 dude working there I can't believe no one noticed this, went a 2nd time an hour later, puddle still there. No paper towels in the PT roll, lovely wet hands. kegs and pallets of beer EVERYWHERE... if you're open, you should have clear pathways and easy access for guests to use any part of the "open" facility. this is an ALL AROUND sort of thing, if the bathroom is dirty, the warehouse and retail floors are cluttered, then what's the rest of the place look like? How nasty is the kitchen? just the general attitude/approach/habits of a dirty establishment sets a bad tone... bleh! Food - Besides that first cold beer on a hot Oahu day, this was the 2nd most anticipated part of my lunch. I was hungry. In talkin w/ the gal behind the bar when ordering my 1st beer, she leaned towards a burger and that's what I ultimately ordered. when the food arrived, right off the bat I ate a few fries, they were cold. Oddly, also peppered. So, I moved on to the burger... or tried to. if you're gonna serve an open face burger, HOOK IT UP. Look at the lettuce, tiny, flat, 1 piece; the tomato, sliced super thin, soft, 1 slice; onion size/quantity was good. mind you, this is a BASIC $21 LTO cheeseburger w/ street sauce; execution matters @ $21, for $12 it would have been ok, but not. moving on to the patty, as I found no sauce under the LTO, and no sauce under the patty either. So i wait for a staff to flag down, about 5 mins goes by, ate a few fries. flag down backwards hat guy, ask for some sauce, he disappears into his POS handheld for a min, then tells me it's gonna be $1 for sauce, this lead to the sauce back and forth where I had to show him there was no sauce below the LTO or patty. As I waited for the sauce, I looked closer at the patty, pulled it apart, and just grey throughout, charred on the outside. Do you buy these prepacked and frozen? I ended up caking the bottom w/ the street sauce and the top w/ ketchup to counter how dry the patty was. such a disappointing, and now cold, "burger." it's a basic LTO burger, COME ON! Beer - As an IPA lover, 6 stars - Had I known the experience to come, I would have grabbed some tall cans from the fridge and been on my way. The Fruit Loops and Hikers Dream were on par. this is your only saving grace. my 2nd beet came in the same glass as my first beer, cleaned, but warm... so the 2nd beer went room temp real fast; all the more reason to chug it and leave. I will not be returning to this establishment, though I would pickup the beer if I see it in my local stores. Owner, no need respond; spend your energy fixing your business. Aloha Beer Co, looked commercial from the pictures I saw and quite nice outside with great street presence, resting in the front, a bar inside which had great air, and a patio area which is dog friendly. There is a decent amount of food items and craft cocktails. There are plenty of spirits and wine. They even have meals for your fur babies.  Our server Thalia was quite nice.  It was early and I felt like she was still waking up... but so was I. THE BEER: Mellow Waves wit beer 5.2% ABV... light crushable all day wit beer with hints of orange, citrus Hi-Bitchcus Ale 5.3% ABV... this was not my favorite, but also not the worse beer I have had in Hawaii Froot Lupes hazy IPA 7.3% ABV... juicy, on the dry side. Also West coast. Black Pils 5.5% ABV... dark malty notes without much of the pilsner after taste.  This is another crushable beer. Hiker's Dream IPA 6.3% ABV... says hazy IPA, but I didn't notice the haze.  It is a well balanced West coast styled IPA Red Zeppelin 6.2% ABV... red pale ale with hoppy finish Hop Lei IPA 6.4% ABV... West coast ipa Fruit forward and citrus notes Kaka'Ako Belgian tripel 9% ABV... tripel with fruit and caramel candy notes.  Not too boozy and quite good. I've been a long time fan of Aloha Beer Co. since they opened their doors in 2016! This neighborhood watering hole serves up great gastropub cuisine and some of my favorite local beers. They have daily pau hana from 2pm-6pm and sell some of the cutest brewery merch on island. Their beer garden is such a vibe and snagging seats at the bar is equally as fun. The service is consistent and their team is really welcoming. Pro tip is to check out their sister cocktail bar upstairs called Hi Brau which is open Friday and Saturday nights starting at 8pm. No reservation needed. This has been a Kakaako staple for almost a decade and cheers to many more years to come! read more

Looking for a local Happy Hour spot with craft beer and good food. Craft beer was spot on with their seasonal "The Slow Pour" that had a tangy full flavor finish. Service was friendly and accommodating for an outdoor seating area on Patio that is "dog friendly." Pizza sounded great and actually tasted good. Biggest issue was the crust being to doughy. Real let down, I should have sent it back for another 5 minutes in the oven. Feeling that hunger and having a cold brew to wash it down, I just continued munching down the great toppings with extra cheese, pulling the gooier parts of the crust on my plate. I did let our waitress know the pizza was way under cooked. The wait staff in general was very young and did not have the experience to either offer a reduction in price or a future discount to make this wrong, right. The layout of this local brewery is very relaxed, with an indoor bar and dining area playing NFL Football. The outdoor tables with umbrellas, allow you to visit without the other distractions at the bar. Parking above the brewery is $5.00. I most likely will pass on this place next Happy Hour search. Why have I not been here before? Komori is three soon, and I've been depriving him of a bibim-pup?! I am SO sorry, Komori. And I am also sorry I got you the small size; next time, I'll only get you large from now on. Looks like you know where we'll be for his birthday! Also, dogs are allowed but only on the outside patio area, which is understandable, but the patio is fun and inviting for everyone to enjoy. Although my husband and I don't usually drink, we were with new friends who recommended we try their favorite beer, "Froot Lupes," which we both loved. My husband also got a flight of five other beers that he reported he really liked, making it a memorable experience. Fun tip: If you want to seem healthy, you can order their house or Caesar salad as your side for your entrée instead of fries. For me, I'm coming back for their crispy chicken sandwich, and yes, I switched out the fries for a Caesar salad--but I cannot confirm nor deny that I ate half of my husband's truffle fries. Looks like there's events everyday of the week like Mondays, you get a free dog entree for every pizza purchase and Tuesdays are Trivia night! We'll definitely try bringing to Komori to one of those! Parking is tough, luckily we snagged one of two available street parking spots, but since it's a bar, you can't expect good parking. As a self-proclaimed 'beer-hater' I surprisingly appreciate this place. It is spacious, inviting, and clean. Service is good. The staff will answer any questions and even give suggestions if needed. The first time i went i did a flight so i could try different flavors. I think it's a great way to figure out what you're into if you don't have a lot of beer-expertise (like me). Aloha Brew Co. has a great vibe--chill, mellow, and a solid place to hang out. But the food is weak. My burger tasted like a frozen patty with barely any toppings. Elise's kid's cheeseburger showed up with the cheese still cold and unmelted, which looked awful. Josie's pizza was basically a small frozen pie tossed in the oven. The beer's nothing special either. It's been over 5 years since I last visited and many changed for the better. The outdoor patio area is super dog friendly, or should I say caters to dogs. We came here after hiking with my dog and she was immediately served iced water in a dog bowl. Then we ordered mushrooms truffle pizza with added pepperoni and sausage, a soft pretzel with mustard cheese sauce. There were 3 menu items specifically or dogs, she got a generous serving of cooked chicken in a dog bowl. It was fun to socialize with other dogs there too. The pizza was unbelievable, love the crust and ingredients are fresh and perfect. The soft pretzel could serve 4 people it's huge and done right. I just wish there was a place nearby for the dog to relieve herself, we had to walk almost 1 block to find grass. We paid for valet parking oon the roof. There's a lot of breweries popping up around the Kakaako and Ward area. Aloha Beer has been one of my favorites (as well as Hana Koa) especially if you like IPAs. I'm a huge fan of their Red Zeppelin but when we arrived, it was out, so I went for my second favorite - Fruit Lupe. It's a STRONG IPA but low IBU so it tastes incredible and knocks you off your stool. We also ate the chicken sando and cheese pub burger. The chicken sandwich was much better but the burgers was as expected - a burger. The biggest plus is that they give you a pickle! We also saw on the menu, it's dog friendly and on Mondays they offer a pup bowl! So fricken cute! read more

This brewery gets my award for the best FOOD at any brewery in Hawaii! The menu appears to be standard brewery fare at first, but when you dig in, you'll see lots of unique items. And even the traditional brewery pub-grub food is thoughtfully prepared and way fresher than you may be expecting! I got fried cauliflower and a salad and both were some of the best representations of each I have ever experienced. Correction: the fried cauliflower was THE best. I find most fried cauliflower to be way over-battered...but not here! The beers were also outstanding! Lots of hoppy stuff for the IPA beardos and also some crisp pilsners for the middle class fancy dads coming in after a long morning of yard maintenance! Their German pilsner is one of the better representations of the style I have had. As far as ambiance, they have a nice, sunny beer garden. No views of the ocean, but this probably servers to keep out the most annoying of tourists. Service was fantastic. I will definitely stop in next time I'm in Oahu! I'm very happy to say Aloha Beer, in my opinion seems to have elevated themselves overall! Over the past year we have noticed a more consistent staff and improved food menu and options thanks to a new chef (I was told). There is an improved patio area that gives an almost garden like feel thanks to all the greenery and plant additions. The last several times we have been here service is good and food delicious. We enjoy the beer selections and seasonal choices. Last night we shared the cheese bread which is a flat bread style baked and seasoned well. For bonus points their women's restroom was very clean and non-odious which is far superior to other area Microbrewery restaurants I will leave unnamed! I was told many years ago by a restaurant health inspector you can judge a restaurant kitchen without seeing it based on the cleanliness of their bathrooms, if they take pride in their facilities, they take pride in their kitchen. We made a reservation for 6 in advance on a Saturday night. Initially, we were all excited to try this place for the first time but was disappointed at the end. The beer flight and cocktails were good. The food was disappointing. The Korean fried chicken wings were completely burnt and super salty. The buns of the crispy chicken sandwich were extremely stale and dry, it was probably old bread. Our server forgot us twice and had to wait for a long time for our food to come only to be disappointed in the end. Our server was considerate enough to update us that the kitchen staff is working hard to accommodate other orders but they may need more assistance. We had a large (10 person + 1 dog) gathering at Aloha Beer on a Friday night. The host specifically chose Aloha Beer for the family dinner because the dog was welcome. Our service was really friendly, and the food was pretty good. Since it's primarily a bar, I was impressed at the food, in fact. Everything else was tasty. The Poke Nachos were good--but the house made chips were fluffy, crisp and amazing! I'd go back just for the chips. We also ordered Truffle Garlic Parmesan Fries, Cheese Bread, Garlic Mushroom Tapas, Giant Pretzel, Crispy Rice & Spicy Ahi, a house salad, some kind of pizza, a burger and a bunch of beer. Everything I tried was good. The dog had a couple of items as well, but I didn't try those. The one item I did find disappointing was the karaage chicken--I'm really spoiled by the real thing, which we ate all ever Japan--it wasn't even close to that. To top it all off, we got the Bigass Sundae, which was the grand finale. It took a while for the sundae to arrive, but when it did, we understood why--amidst the mountain of ice cream, were freshly fried donuts and waffles. That was incredible, and we finished off every bite (see photos of before & after). I'd absolutely go back for the nachos & sundae...if they had a smaller version. There's a smaller outdoor seating area, a small indoor eating area and a courtyard area with bar height tables and live music. We were in the courtyard, and the musician was good. My friend & I went to the Kaka'ako location for some after dinner drinks & pupus. We had a reservation for outdoor seating, which has a nice ambience. When we got there it took a little for us to get seated though. But the hostess was really nice. While sitting outside, we got a little drizzled on because it was windy & rainy for a short time but manageable. I think for next time I would rather sit inside. Outside they have a store with merchandise and they also sell pastries & coffee in there too. You scan the QR code to view the menu, but they also have paper menus. Stopped by on a late Saturday after to taste a couple beers and the food. I had the Crispy Rice and Spicy Ahi app. It took a long time to get the app so it was cold. The crispy rice was crispy but hard. The Ahi was okay, the spice comes from the jalapeño pepper slice on top. Not a bad appetizer if warm. This is my second visit this month to Aloha Beer Co. and it was still pretty great. I always choose to sit outside if it's an option and here it's always an option. Yeah! This is a dog and baby friendly spot, just an F.Y.I. It was a busy Friday night but we found a table outside and a young man had just started playing some chill vibes on his guitar and singing. It was sweet. The outside area was nearly full but our waitress still made it over to us in record time. We tried a couple of flights and that is the way to go as they change their beer offerings monthly. I'm in love with the Hibiscus and then ordered a half pint. I mention this as not many places let me order a half pint. I'm a light weight ok? I appreciate this. We ordered the margarita pizza and it was ok. They have a wood fired oven and it looked delish. Sadly not much flavor until we asked for the chili peppers and cheese sprinkles. Not that helped alot! Not much basil and we couldn't taste the mozzarella but I'll try another one next time. Can't recommend the margarita pizza tho as it's bland, reminds me of baby food. lol My only negative comment is the water tastes and smells like chlorine so we got some lemon to help get it down. I'll bring my own water bottle next time! They have parking but it's 5$. I thought it was free per our server but the valet said no, it's 5$ even though I parked myself. So just be aware. The staff was so friendly and accommodating--they helped us create a buffet menu for our group of 30+ that worked for both adults and kids. Little gem in the more industrial area of Ward/Kakaako. Parking is a little challenging however there is valet service. Aloha beer is an interesting mix of restaurant and outside bar in the more interesting part of town. There are car mechanic shops in the area and a park where some unsavory characters hang out. I just attended an evert here and this place is really like an escape in urban Honolulu in an area that is attempting to go through the re-gentrifying process. The food and drinks here are good. They have a nice selection of wines that are non-traditional and the mixed drinks are decent if a tad sweet. The appetizer like items such as the pizza and nachos are delicious. They also have mini donuts you can dip in melted chocolate. Surprisingly they have a wide variety of salads that are fresh and offer that healthy option. The Beer company is clean with plenty of seating and nice staff. Definitely a pau Hana option when in the area and worth a try! read more

Fun place. Nice people. They're very pet friendly. There's a section on the menu for your pet so feel free to bring them. They host quite a few events here as well. We had gone to trivia night. It was fun but the seating fills up quickly. Best to there early. Their pizza is really good. A lot of cheese. Burgers are good as well but very average. Their bigass sundae is awesome! Should be shared though! Although, if there were a contest for it, I wouldn't say no . They have live music which is great! But not so good if you want to talk. They have bar stool seating inside and outside. Outside also has regular tables as well. Their gift shop is cool. If you missed it, it's behind the stage. Very small but some good merch. Unfortunately, no bigger shirt sizes. I believe they went up to 1 or 2 XL. But they do have chew toys for the pets...very pet friendly. Not bad if you're looking for good tunes and good food and drinks. For conversation, sit away from the stage. read more
