We thought we got lucky when our friend told us we can have his big recliner couches, until we realized that their pitbull used them more than humans. I had my carpets cleaned recently by Aloha Chem-Dry and they did a fine job. They offer a $99 basic service (for up to 375 square feet) which includes a thorough vacuuming of your carpets, followed by an application of "exclusive hot carbonating cleaning solution" and then a "grooming" of your carpet, which is really like raking it so it looks pretty. We had some spots on our light colored carpet and it was definitely overdue for a good thorough cleaning. The technician that arrived at our home was friendly. When we got upstairs, he began measuring the square footage of my apartment. Then he sat down to figure out 3 different estimates. Be prepared to negotiate your price--they charge based on the square footage of the area you're having cleaned. The guy of course told me that I should upgrade to one of his more expensive services, because it would be more effective at removing spots. The price difference was really significant so I opted to stick with the basic service. The basic service suited me just fine...the carpet looks great. There are coupons offered here on Yelp, but I noticed the company's website said that the special covered up to 400 sq feet for the $99 basic cleaning. Just be aware of this so you can be sure to get the best price. My place is larger than 400 sq feet and I'm still not exactly clear how he calculated the final price, which was $140. (This includes tax) Overall, I'm content with the service and would probably use them again in the future. read more

I called to make an appointment last minute because we are moving and didn't realize how bad the carpets were until after we emptied the house and Linda was very nice to squeeze us in late Saturday so we could avoid the extra charge for Sunday services. She was very helpful and sweet from the very first call. We ended up not needing their services because our owners told us they are going to rip out and replace the rug anyway.. This company has commercial vans that they use to get around to clients' places. The vans are covered with their advertising. So it behooves the driver to not engage in offensive road rage which is what I experienced this evening at around 7:30pm on King Street just before McCully. This driver pulled right out in front of me from a side street without a care. I easily went around him because he was so slow. He didn't like that and changed into another lane to pull up almost beside me. (Why didn't he just pull into that empty lane to begin with?) Then he proceeds to berate ME! I didn't do anything, like honk my horn, at all. He didn't like my going around him! As though I cut HIM off. Not a good way to advertise your business. Making an appoint was easy. I specifically stated I wanted: 1 bedroom, hallway & stairs done. I gave my name, contact number and address. I tried to give a disclaimer about my location since GPS and maps don't lead to my house, but I was rushed off the phone. That's ok, you're a business, you're busy.. I get it. I was told they would be at my place 11:00 - 12:00. I received a call at 10:50am saying they were leaving town and would here in Kapolei in 20 minutes. No big deal. I got a call around 11:20am saying they are unable to find my house -- I knew this would happen. So I tried to find out which freeway exit they took or where they were so I could give new directions but every time I tried to get an answer I was answered with another question. The guy I spoke to on the phone sounded like he was also talking to someone else (the driver?) and ended up hanging up on me. That's ok, getting lost is pretty frustrating when time is money. So I get another call 5 minutes later saying the same thing, only this time he ended up closer to my house just not quite there. So I tried giving directions step by step but I kept getting interrupted as I tried to say the next step. It was kind of like being interrupted by someone who thinks they know better. But that's ok.. again, time is money, getting lost is loss of money for later appointments. When they finally found my house, I was greeted by two nice guys. They asked to see the space, I brought them upstairs and showed them the room. Immediately the older guy starts talking about how the foot traffic stains won't come out. Almost as if he didn't even want to do this room. Started talking about a surface clean and a deep clean -- I'm not in this business... I have no idea what terms you're using on me and would have appreciated a better explanation. Ultimately I wanted the deep clean because if I'm going to pay for a carpet clean why would I only want to treat the surface? Clean all the things right!? WRONG. My husband and I went downstairs to stay out of their way. Since the guys only talked about the room I didn't bother reminding them of the hallway or stairs. I had plans later in the day and it worked out better this way. After maybe 10-15 minutes the guys come down saying their done. To keep the dog out of the room while it dries. Wait for the carpet to fully dry before vacuuming. They note that they were able to remove the most noticeable stains -- great. But that the FOOT TRAFFIC STAINS would REMAIN. wut? But I figure you know.. these guys were nice, they tried to explain things to me, they forgot about the hallway and stairs they're ok. So I got the bill, I paid, I tipped, and I got quoted for my hallway and stairs. I was quoted $150-$170 for my stairs.. possible $170 for hallway + stairs combo. But after he told how stairs are calculated ($4/step, $12 each large step/landing) my husband was quick to tell me NO. So I waited for the room to completely dry. I put my hand to the carpet (super excited at this point) and it feels like someone ironed my carpet. it was no longer soft or cushiony.. it was, for lack of a better description, CRISPY feeling. Slightly discouraged, but still hopeful... I walked in. CRUNCHING under my feet is what it felt like. I feel like I paid someone $180 to RUIN my carpet. But I digress... I walk the entire room and I notice that these guys didn't even clean the entire room they SPOT CLEANED where they THOUGHT the main foot traffic was. I've blown my money on some pretty ridiculous things where I felt scammed/wronged... I never would have thought that trying to get my carpet back to it's beautiful cleanliness would be one of them. A little backstory to this house/room: House built in 2016, first owners. Rented the room out for 9 months. My tenants weren't the cleanest people so there were clear signs of foot traffic when the bed was moved (not as bad as some of their photos). With 2 noticeable (but not large) stains. I have plans to make it a guest room so I wanted to "start fresh." The carpet looked dirty but still had it's plush. Well now I'm going to have to find someone else to re-clean or salvage my carpet. I picked this business based on the reviews and pictures.. very disappointed :( read more

Eh. We needed a carpet cleaning service for our apartment because we are leaving and they require us to have it professionally done. Called and our estimated quote was $165 for 2 rooms. The guy came a few days after on time I must add and looked at both rooms and changed the quote to $200 ??? That's with the military discount. The guy on the phone said $165 so I was pretty annoyed and disappointed that it wasn't what the guy on the phone said.
