Been back here multiple times since moving to Hawaii…read more Same great service. Nice coffee shop ambiance. Good outdoor seating space to people watch, enjoy your Koma coffee and some gourmet pastries. Those of you unfamiliar with Kouign Amann - Google it! Definitely must try if you have not had it. Along with Kona Coffee, of course. If you're in Waikiki or visiting Oahu, this is one of the coffee shops I highly recommend.

I used to absolutely love Kona Coffee Purveyors. For years, my wife and I made this place part of…read moreour Waikiki routine. I've waited in the long lines. I've walked out of the way from hotels just to get coffee and pastries here. I'm not even a pastry person, but this place made me care. The coffee, the croissants, the sandwiches. It used to feel expensive but justified because the quality was there. This last visit felt like the magic was gone. We came back during a long family trip with our two young kids, and the service was cold from the start. One employee seemed more interested in her phone and side conversations than the customers in front of her. The coffee was handed over messily, with liquid spilled on top like nobody cared enough to wipe it down. My wife also asked for a cup of ice when there were barely any people in line and instead of simply helping, the response was curt and dismissive, as if asking for something small was an inconvenience. The frustrating part is that this place built its reputation on details. Great coffee. Excellent pastries. Long lines that felt worth it because you were getting something special. Now it feels overpriced, indifferent and tired. Maybe the pastries are still good. Maybe the coffee is still technically good. But when the hospitality disappears, the whole experience changes. What used to feel like a destination now feels like another expensive Waikiki coffee counter coasting on reputation. I hate writing this because this place used to be a must visit for us. But after this trip, I'm done making the trek.

When I visit a new coffee shop, I always make sure there's adequate parking, seating, WiFi (if I'm…read moregonna do work), and a bathroom. Bluetree has become one of my top coffee shops in town for checking all of these boxes! There's parking in their structure (scan QR code in the cafe to register your license plate #), plenty of seating inside (upstairs/downstairs), and WiFi if you plan on doing work. My go-to drink as of recently has been their Kulolo Crunch Latte. I also loved their Coconut Cloud Matcha -- they use Wai Koko coconut water! For the most part, people in the shop are doing work and being productive so it's not too overstimulating like many coffee shops I've been to. If you're looking for just a chill place to grab a coffee or matcha and lock in, I'd recommend checking out Bluetree in Kaka'ako!

Parking: depends on the day & time you go but they do have a pay parking garage right across the street or if you get lucky with street parking but you also have to pay. Service: when I walked in it looked just like a mainland coffee shops I've been too. Pretty cool & clean inside. They do have an upstairs sitting. So of course I got the "KULOLO CRUNCH LATTE" but sad to say ima have to give this a 4/10. It just tasted like a regular coffee with crunch. I really tried hard to get that taste of the kulolo but I didn't. I also let my mom & daughter try & they didn't taste any kulolo.

I'd been curious about trying their matcha offerings, so I was excited. We came on a holiday morning, and there wasn't anyone inside. The cafe is cute and vibey! Love how pet-friendly it is with the polaroids--I'd definitely bring my pup here. There's also a decent amount of seating to hang out or work at. Service was fine. I ordered at the register, and she made my drink immediately. I was intrigued by their Haupia Matcha Latte. I love all things Haupia, so it seemed like the perfect match. I got the Haupia Matcha Latte with Oat Milk, and it was superb. I loved how creamy it was, how the sweetness of the haupia shone, but the earthiness of the matcha was still there. I'd definitely recommend this drink and am curious about their others. Hello Again is a nice cafe addition to Chinatown. With all the cafes in the area, it's worth a visit if you're a matcha lover like me. Find the cafe off Nuuanu Ave., unassuming on the outside but nicely sized once you go in! Parking is limited to the street or nearby municipal parking.

It's super easy to get here walking around Kaimuki, or there's free ample parking right behind the business with a rear entrance too. It's cozy with a great bar area, small tables for conversation or work, and a wine and beer selection for evenings. On my visit I had a black iced coffee and a coffee cake; both were delicious! The staff was welcoming and friendly. Prices were reasonable for the quality. I'll definitely be back soon!

UGHHH i really wanted to like this place too. maybe i'm just more sensitive to espresso right now since i'm on my deriod
