This was such a cute little cafe and I'm so so sad that I found them so late. They have been in business for 30 years and they originally came from San Francisco. The person that helped me was courteous and kind and witty. Their attire was old fashioned fashionable. I absolutely loved it. The desserts that they had intrigued me, however I was there first thing in the morning so my stomach just wanted something small and coffee so I asked their best seller which was blueberry. That was what I got. The little crunchy top and they heat your pastry up so it comes out nice and warm!! There were two workers. One baker and one everything else. When I walked inside I felt that I was at their house and their hospitality is noteworthy. I wish everyone who owns a customer based business would be able to follow how they take care of their customers. The unfortunate part is that the business closed at the end of 2025 and the owners left for France! They were going to retire and enjoy life which I wish them only the best! I will always remember those 15 minutes I had here and it made my day so much better. As I said, I wish I had found them earlier. I would have been a regular. My friend from college and I somehow both ended up in Honolulu, so Raintree Bakery Coffeehouse was the setting for our reunion. What a wonderful decision we made to meet at this cute local business. Their menu was quite unique, very boutique. The team working here were quite warm and welcoming. There is limited seating, so you might want to come here earlier than later. Everything I ordered was delightful, and I ordered quite the breakfast: the butter muffins, prosciutto, and eggs with macadamia pesto all made me feel quite classy. This is an amazing hole in the wall cafe that is a must try for everyone. The owners are super friendly and welcoming and it's always fun to talk to them. My boyfriend and I shared the breakfast plate with prosciutto di parma and they split the plate for us. Their butter muffins are more on the dense side, but they are not dry, super buttery and pairs well with the salty prosciutto and fresh pesto. I do not have the words to express how much I adore this place and the lovely gentlemen who own and operate it. The menu is simple and nearly everything is made onsite. They're known for their butter muffins, but everything else in the pastry display deserves a try. This is the kind of café where I would love to bring a book and enjoy a meal by myself, which was precisely what I did on my first visit, except that the book was a laptop. I tried the breakfast platter with prosciutto di parma. I normally do not like pesto, but I can still taste the macnut pesto that comes with the dish. Proportions are just enough. Stopped by on a whim because I was hungry at an odd hour like 3pm and was on the area. They said they could serve breakfast and boy was it worth it. The eggs were perfectly fluffy but what did it - the homemade Mac nut pesto. I don't like pesto but this was incredible that I had to ask for more. I usually put ketchup on my eggs but I said no way. I wanted more of that homemade mac nut pesto. So flavorful and perfectly balanced. Had it with the pastrami. So good. The butter muffin was good too. It was a little more firm than soft and fluffy but enjoyable. I would order this over and over and over. Cute inside. Bathroom. Few tables. I also ordered a takeout of guava, chocolate, and lilikoi cheesecakes for my brother and his family to enjoy. This hole in the wall cafe is so cozy and the owner/server Elliott is a gem . Looking for a little coffee shop outside the norm of the mainstream. This place did not disappoint! From the moment you walk in, it gives such a mellow comfort, homely feel. The two workers (not sure if they own the place) were very friendly and welcoming. One of them even came out from the back just to open the door for a woman leaving. I ordered a golden chai latte, which I have never had and my husband ordered an Americano thay was hand delivered to him. The worker making my chai walked to our table to ask if I wanted to have some honey. He personally delivered it and asked to watch my reaction. I was a bit nervous thinking what if I don't like it, but it was so delicious! It took all of me to save just a bit for my daughter to taste when we got home. Needless to say, we will be back! When we turned the corner on Pensacola, we couldn't help notice this cozy cafe, especially the display case featuring all their baked goodies. When I read reviews of the place at our table, I found out what their house specialty was. It turned out to be their individual $6.25 cheesecakes, in particular, the lilikoi (passionfruit). Stopped by this cute coffee shop/bakery after grocery shopping in the afternoon. Ordered an iced golden chai latte and a lilikoi cheesecake. I was assured it would be an authentic golden chai! Waited a few minutes and got my drink and cheesecake. The chai was good and lovingly made, but the cheesecake blew me away. The cheesecake was the size of a muffin. Took a little walk to Raintree Bakery, a shop I've seen 3 years living in town and only now taking the time to enjoy this gem. The Prosciutto di Parma was Devine. The eggs were so fluffy and topped with pesto and parm shreds. The Prosciutto was slightly warm and not too salty (a problem I have when getting certain store bought) cappuccino with various flavor options: delicious. I think the thing that really makes this place are the workers. They truly give five star worthy service. Right when you walk in, they greet you and are quick to serve. The personality of the servers are amazingly friendly like Mr Rogers kinda friendly. Their uniforms are the cutest. And the cafe music ranges from French classics to jazz and some soft rock. This is a place I'm putting on my weekly rounds for breakfast/ lunch. Hopefully this can become a place where the staff will become family because on the first visit I felt very welcomed. read more

Coffee in Honolulu, Hawaii... I met my Lunch Buddy here over five years ago. We dined in and I had tea and a Liliko'i bar. It was a pleasant memory! Raintree Bakery Coffeehouse is located on the right side of Pensacola Street as you drive Makai (towards the ocean). There's metered street parking all around the block. It's a peaceful place with quality beverages, baked goods, sandwiches, and salads. It has a convenient restroom and friendly, helpful service! Elliott is very intuitive and knowledgeable! I ordered the Pastrami Sandwich which comes with a pickle, green salad, and dressing on the side. I appreciated the containers of mayo and mustard. I ate half of the sandwich plain, then the other half with mayo and mustard - yes! I also got the Matcha Latte with almond milk and a splash of honey. The matcha is the real thing from Japan and the almond milk is made fresh! For dessert, the blueberry muffin was outstanding! It was moist and delicious! Thanks for using organic blueberries! Love this place!!! It's my go to! I often pick up treats from here as thank you gifts and even apology gifts. People love their muffins & Lilikoi bars which is what I go for but they have a nice sized menu of other delectables too ~ simply delicious! Though this cafe calls itself a coffeehouse (which is true), they have excellent breakfast and lunch options. I spoke to the co-owner, Elliott, for a few minutes. He obviously has a passion for healthy food, and he referenced buying healthy / organic foods locally for use at the cafe. A tad stronger so if you usually get a double shot, you won't need to here! I suggest the almond milk because the almonds themselves are imported from Italy!
