My favorite optometry office! I found Aloha Family Optometry when I started working in Fullerton 3 years ago, and I've been coming here ever since. Friendly staff, great care, and a welcoming environment. I also love that their office has pleasant Hawaiian music playing in the background.

At first, I was really excited about this place. I saw great reviews, they took my insurance, and I thought they were friendly & professional. I left the office thinking I had a bleed in my left eye. Dr. Randy, during a basic eye exam, said he thought he spotted a bleed in my left eye and suggested I pay extra for them to do all these extra tests and dilations, etc. I was there for just replacement glasses and had already done extensive eye work at Kaiser for a neurological condition, so I had recently been dilated in both eyes only a month ago (plus had a follow-up appointment with my neuro-optomologist in only 2 weeks). I politely declined the extra add-ons and said I would follow-up with Kaiser since I was only using my vision insurance for frames. When I followed up with my neuro-optomologist, he immediately said, "This doctor said he saw signs of an impending BRVO? Without dialing you and letting you leave the office without signing anything?" This sounds like a scam office to me. When he checked my eyes, he did not find anything. My regular doctor warned me that offices like this like to nickel and dime people and refer them to specialists they know, pretending like they see something concerning, and then the specialist gets a cut and they make money off all the screenings and imaging. My red flags for these places were that they really know how to market. Everything is a theme, everything is a raffle, everything is a "leave us a review", we're celebrating an anniversary, "schedule your appointment for next year". These folks are genuinely nice because they are salespeople first. The reason they have great reviews is that they are good business, but that's it; they're good at making you feel connected to what they are selling. That does not mean they are optometrists who advocate for their patients. Red flag No. 2. With my insurance, I saw they had the exact frames I got from Costco last year for $79 WITH INSURANCE. At Costco, without insurance and with the bells and whistles, anti-glare, scratch resistance, etc. I got the same lenses at Costco for about $120 WITHOUT INSURANCE. This place is marking up products. I paid almost $79.00 with insurance and still have the base model that does not include anti-glare. All in all, I am not happy, I feel ripped off, and I have an inferior product. I feel like all I was sold was 30 minutes of being in a Hawaiian-themed office with some very friendly people, and that is it. So if you would like a Hawaiian experience where you pay for overpriced items and receive very friendly customer service, then this is your place. If you want the biggest bang for your buck, seriously, you're better off at Costco Optical. Watch out for your own signs and stick to your gut, but watch out for those upcharges.

ONLY PLACE THAT CAN HELP!!!…read more So I accidentally took a nap on a very expensive pair of eyeglasses put them in a desk drawer and retired them.. was forced to buy another pair. Fast forward like 3 years later one of my twins (not naming which one) likely took my glasses and either threw them away or put them with the rest of our lost buried treasures of things that go missing. I was forced to wear my glasses that lived in the drawer when I worked at my desk then decided since I had the parts that their had to be a way to have them fixed. Went to a couple of places claiming they could fix but I was told they were unrepairable and should buy new ones.... I almost gave up and gave in. UNTIL! I came across FIXMYGLASSES online that is actually World Optic on state college they took me right in and rushed my glasses into surgery and miraculously brought them back to life!! Saying that I'm ecstatic right now would be an understatement! Thank you World Optic!

I found World Optic through a quick google and Reddit search for local, affordable glasses modifications. I placed an order/RMA on their website on 1/26/26, immediately received an email with a prepaid shipping label, and the. mailed out my new Miu Miu glasses on the same day. On Tuesday 1/27/27 I received email confirmation of delivery to their shop and a separate email with assessment options and prices. I paid $79 for the basic option of nose pad modification. They even preemptively chose the gold nose pad arms to compliment the frames (I didn't add specific cosmetic requests in my order). By Saturday 1/31, I gave them a call to ask about the status of my glasses which they let me know were shipping out that day. Today, 2/2, I received my brand new, perfectly fitting Miu Miu glasses and couldn't be any happier! I'm so excited to know that I can get more plastic frames now that I've found World Optic to add the nose pads for me!

The clinic itself is clean and welcoming, the staff is friendly , and the selection of glasses is extensive with lots of great brands. If you order glasses that aren't immediately available in the store, your return window starts on the purchase date, not the date you actually receive your glasses. In my case, I purchased them on the 26th but didn't receive them until 5-6 days later, which significantly reduced the time I had to decide whether they were right for me. When I attempted to return them, I was told they could not be accepted because they had been worn. However, there was absolutely no damage, scratches, or signs of wear--they were simply tried on and worn briefly to determine whether they were a good fit. The glasses were returned in like-new condition. For premium-priced sunglasses, I expected much better customer service and a more reasonable approach. Instead, I felt the policy was applied in a way that favored the store rather than the customer. Before purchasing from this location, make sure you fully understand the return policy and how they calculate the return period. If you're spending hundreds of dollars on sunglasses, it's worth doing your research and considering other retailers with more customer-friendly return policies.
