I am so happy that these gems still exist! We visited on a Sunday and aside from the small handful of families with small children and birthday parties, we had our run of the place! Perfect if you're a rusty skater like myself and want to work on awakening the skating giant within. There is plenty of room for spectators and skaters. At the time, we did see a no outside food or drink sign as we entered, but not sure how much is enforced. If you can bring in snacks, this would be a great place for a party! This review is for the party package. Would I recommend having a party here--probably not! But especially not if it's during a busy time (usually between 4-6pm). I thought I would have a host to check in on me but I did not at all. I was not even walked over to where my party section would be. (Good thing I've been here before so I knew where it was). There was still a party when I arrived at my area and I had to tell them that my party was starting. In addition, they forgot to give me my "goody bag" but eventually gave it to me. When they dropped off my pizza, I asked if there was 1 Hawaiian since the receipt said 3 combo. The guy just shrugged and said he doesn't know. A tip I will bestow to you that I experienced from another party I went to at this same venue is to check your receipt. The venue will charge your guest for walkers but they will also charge you for it too even if you marked that you will pay for your guest. They were not ready to open at 11. I practiced patience. 11:10 they opened and apologized for their late start. They gave me a key for a locker. I locked my stuff, but when I was ready to leave, my locker was empty. The manager had "organized " the lockers and put a new lock on my locker. I have to say that was very stressful! Thankfully, she had the master keys and found my stuff. Then, she asked for our keys. We gave them to her and the other worker asked us for our keys and when we said we already gave them to the manager, she gave us a look. The roller skating was super fun! I loved the music! For some reason, I've never noticed there was a skating rink at Eastridge Mall! We were supposed to go axe throwing but things didn't go as planned so we looked up another activity nearby. I haven't been roller skating in years so I was nervous, but excited since this brought back childhood memories at Cal Skate which sadly doesn't exist anymore. Wasn't a fan of the price, skates plus rental fees, but it was a super fun activity. I would recommend going a size down for skates as their sizes were too big for us. They don't have half sizes. Although not many, but there are also arcades and a private room for hosting events like birthday parties for kids. The rink itself is cement and the poles are covered with colorful lifesavers. As the name hints, they have a Hawaiian theme. Staff wore green Hawaiian shirts and they were very friendly. I didn't catch his name due to the music in the background, but shout out to the staff who was kind enough to teach us some skating skills and exercises. It made our skating experience a whole lot more interesting and thanks to him, we felt more comfortable and saw improvement in our skating. It was fun! read more

Skating is fun and this is the only place nearby for it unfortunately. My biggest complaint is the staff not being friendly and welcoming. The attendants tending to the rink are rude and many times I've seen them let "regulars" or "non-workers" regulate for them. Safety is first but their actions and how they approach situations is a reason for them to be kill joys. We will still come on occasion because it's a good way for the kids to exercise and enjoy music. The less you need the staff the better your experience will be. read more

I don't recommend lesson for the kiddos. It is too expensive ($25/kid for 1hr) and the instructors are not very good. The kids didn't learn anything. It should have broken up into group of 4-5 kids by experience level and spend more time with a small group. Don't show one move and then tell the kids to go practice. My kids were bored and pretty much we paid $25 for an hour for them to skate on their own. Plus we were disappointed that they weren't able to use the skating ring after the lesson. I have been wanting to take my daughter here and we finally did. We walked in and we had to sigh a waiver on the tablet. We finished that and proceeded to the cashier. We paid for my daughter only to go skate and it cost us $24. It breaks down to Skate admission: $15. Quad skate rental $3. Then my husband and I paid $3 each for a spectator fee. The place was big and I really liked they have a little area where you can practice first before you go on to the main floor. This was my daughters first time. She enjoyed her self. I loved the music they were playing. I told my daughter next time I would skate with her. They do have for rental skate mates which help you skate. We didn't use them but did see people use them. I have to admit, the place is pretty darn big and the rink is ample enough to accommodate a lot of people. The border is covered in what looks like old carpet but hell it does it's job lol. The rundown: 1. Sign the waiver. Save time by filling it out ahead of time on your phone. 2. Show the employees the waiver email confirmation 3. Pay the fee ($13 entry, +$2 for quads, +$4 for inlines) 4. Get a stamp that identifies which skates you've paid for 5. Walk over to the other side and show the employee your stamp 6. Tell them your shoe size 7. Put your skates on and place your shoes in a cubby 8. Get your a$$ in the rink! You'll see all kinds of people there with different skating levels, so noobs are totally welcomed! I paid $15 (entry fee + quads) and was there for 2.5 hours. I was so excited to go skating again at Aloha! I have fond memories of skating at the location on Blossom Hill, as a kid. It's so nice to have wholesome fun available close by. I would recommend buying your own skates (or blades), because then you only pay $15 admission. Plus, it's nice to use your own skates. It's also a clean facility. I give it a four star rating for a couple of reasons - 1- would be nice to have more variety of music playing - let's get those 70's and 80's mixed in there! There are tons of good songs from that era that are perfect to skate to. 2- while it's nice that they have the video games and other games to play.... Some things to know: * don't fall for exchanging your bills for quarters unless you want to play pool or want toys from the dispensing machines (all the other games require card for payment) I ended up walking around with 40 (!) quarters for no reason * the air hockey tables were broken - the puck kept getting stuck in the machine * make sure you are a good pool player, because if you accidentally shoot the cue ball in the pocket - you can't get it back So...... long story short - go roller skating!!! Haven't roller skated since the 80's...bought a pair of skates last year during Covid. Tried them outside a few times, decided to take lessons. Dave, our instructor was fantastic. This place is okay! Not going to let the fact that I can't skate very well bias my review- that's for sure. My friends and I were greeted by some workers who were alright, though they didn't seem to be very happy with us there to purchase a go at skating (one was walking to the other while the other was on her phone) and very brusquely walked us through the process of signing up :/ Returning the skates was a much nicer experience- the person who greeted me was very nice and wished my group of friends a nice day with a smile :) The area with the rink was pretty nice- roomy with carpet and ample space to move around- the rink itself did seem a bit small though when more people came in (my friends and I being one of the first few to enter)- but that's okay. Pre (and post!) skating I decided to head by the candy claw machine and unfortunately when going to eat a candy realized it had gone stale. They also need to tweak the machine as candy can easily get stuck between the glass wall and small ledge on the side. Overall would come back, but definitely not anytime soon! read more

This area is located outside the mall, near the Pizza Press and Round 1. I went on a weekday right at opening (5pm) and it was pretty empty. More people came around 6/7. I'm not sure how busy it gets on the weekends or holidays, but I imagine it can get pretty crowded fast. The rink is pretty small so I would probably avoid those days. It has a tiki theme and has some nice backgrounds where you can take photos! Outside the rink is pretty spacious with seating. I saw on yelp photos that there were pool tables but I didn't see them this time. There's also mini golfing. The bathrooms were pretty clean. There are open cubbies where you could stash your items, but there are lockers you can pay for if you want it extra secure. You can bring your own skates if you don't want to pay the rental fee but it was $3 for quads and $5 for blades. I don't skate much but I saw some people with skate mates and it's like $7-8 for a rental. I'm assuming these were staff/owners but they were skating so well and very friendly! Super supportive too with the ones who fall or can't skate well. Overall it's a nice spot to go to but not when it's crowded. read more

We paid for our 3 kids to play laser tag (and it's always more fun to play with big groups). At the front counter they assured us that the kids would be able to join a group so they didn't play by themselves. The kids waited in line for 30 mins (they were in the front of the line; first ones), behind them were 2 separate Birthday party groups. It was finally their turn and when they got let in, the mom from one of the parties said she didn't want my kids to join in. Yet, that mom was OK playing with another party?! The staff didn't argue with her and instead threw my kids out and said THEY would need to wait another 30 mins to play. We are paying patrons, my kids didn't deserve to get thrown out. Aloha!!! This skating rink is a great place. I think you can bring your own food not too sure please double check with the venue before bringing a buffet with you. They do offer snacks and drinks at an inflated price, that's just business for convenience. I would always suggest bringing your own skates as the rent-to-skate skates aren't the best quality. You do not need to have indoor wheels. I bought new wheels just in case they did require. Any skates will do! The music choice is usually r&b/pop music. Not too sure if they play anything else as I've only been here twice. The two times I've been here have been awesome! There's a good amount of people that do show up. There's usually an employee or two skating with everybody to ensure everybody's safety. It makes me want to do that but skating is a passion that I do not want to become a job. TLDR; This is a great skating rink. Please do not forget your water you do not want to pay extra for a small water and bring snacks! Long review for the parents. We've done parties at Big Al's, sky high, pump it up, and most everything else you can think of. We booked this space for a birthday party. We got the skate/golf package which includes 8 participants for both activities and 2 spectators. Additional guests can follow this pricing: Skate Admission: $15 Quad Skate Rental: $3 Blade Rental: $5 Mini Golf Admission: $12 Golf Replay: $3 Unlimited Golf & Skate: $23 Spectator: $3 Keep in mind for kids parties, the parents are probably going to want to skate too to stick with their kid as they learn, the roller walker thing they have is 7 dollar and a shoe to make sure they get the walker back when you're done and not left out for others to use. The space you rent is open with a large enough table and chairs, it's not in an enclosed room and it's right next to the rink so you're getting a lot of guests stumbling running through the area. Some concerns with leaving our stuff unattended when we went to the mini golf area but thankfully there was no issue. As others mentioned, bringing outside food is an extra charge which you'll probably want to do to get your pizza in the door. Our kids group was mostly 8 year olds. We spent the first hour with the skates where this was their first time with skates. It was a great experience as all the kids had fun, but that walker is key for each little one. The second half of the party we went to the mini golf. It's a cute little 18 course, glow in the dark. When it's busy I can see it being hard to play through a game without waiting, There's not much space between each hole so groups will probably be right next to each as you play through. The arcade is in the open and the kids will want to play it so be prepared to get pestered to spend on that. Overall, the pricing adds up but this was a great new experience for both the kids and parents. The staff was friendly and helpful and we're looking forward to skating here again. read more

I haven't been to a roller skating rink in years, so I was super excited to find out about Aloha Roller Rink! I had a pretty good experience at this rink, but I feel it could have been better. This place is kind of small, but it wasn't very crowded or busy when I went around 3pm on Saturday. My experience might have been different if it was crowded and if people kept bumping into each other. There's no food/drinks allowed inside and there's no concession stand so be sure to eat before you come here. Luckily, there are a few restaurants nearby and there's a food court at Eastridge. The rentals are kind of a hit or miss. Mine was fine, but my friends had to change their skates a couple times because it was either falling apart or the clips were broken (so unsafe!). Admission is $13 + $2 for skate rentals or $4 for rollerblade rentals. I just found out they will be here all year, and I would love to go here more often but it's kind of expensive, so hopefully they'll have a membership or something soon. read more

A decent to skate and have fun but can be better. It's a bunch of kids running the place ...sometimes it's smooth; sometimes not. The selection of snacks and food is minimal. They won't let outside drinks or food. I tried to get a tea from Starbucks and they won't let it in. I am okay with this policy if they have a full coffee shop and this competes with them but they have nothing. This policy lacks common sense. This means people will stay less time and frequent less.
