    Beef rib bowl with chicken
    Elizabeth N.

I've passed by this spot so many times and finally decided to give it a try. Going in, I wasn't expecting top tier cuts and honestly, that's not why you come to a teriyaki joint. It's more about how well they execute within that lane, and for what it is, this place holds its own. I ordered the beef rib bowl (I'm a sucker for beef ribs) and added chicken. The portion came with about three smaller rib pieces, and while the flavor was there, the beef ribs leaned slightly on the dry side. The chicken, though, was the highlight. It was tender, moist, and definitely the better protein choice in my opinion. The overall vibe is pretty laidback. There's a TV playing inside, and they offer both indoor and outdoor seating, which is a nice touch. Staff was okay. Nothing standout, but things moved along smoothly. Also worth noting, the restroom requires a digital code, so make sure to grab that if you need it. All in all, it's one of those "good for what it is" kind of spots. Not a place I'd go for premium cuts, but if you're craving a solid teriyaki bowl, it gets the job done.

There's different people running the place since my original review. The service is still very good. It's still the best teriyaki chicken around. During peak hours it still gets really busy. You can eat inside or outside.

Went here on a Saturday morning around opening and the food was soooooo delicious! I got the Beef Plate -- it comes with so much food (beef, rice, salad and some orange slices) for only $12-13. They also had bottles of teriyaki and hot sauce if you wanted to add more sauce to your food too. We waited around 10 minutes for our food, but it wasn't bad since we did come around opening. We also ate inside and there was a lot of seating available. Would definitely come back here again!

I would like to say that my family and I love dining in and ordering at Yogis! The food is so delicious and the service is top notch. Today (June 11, 2026) the ambiance was special and it is the start of World Cup, my mom took this wonderful picture of the staff that is always so welcoming, kind, and very hardworking. So if you really want to have some really good food. Come to Yogis in Tustin!

Start my review by saying the staff was amazing and polite. Inside was clean and people in and out for Friday dinner. But the food is lacking. ordered two bowls, large #3 chicken and beef and large #13 chicken and beef with vegetables. First disappointment was the meat portions between the two were nearly double the size in the cheaper #3. Paid $5 dollars more for veggies with less meat... advice is to order the #3.... Second complaint is the veggies were old with browned, wilted cabbage... another reason to not order the combo

I was feeling teriyaki. Pulled up the Yelp and decided on Yogis. I ordered the chicken and beef combo with all veggies. The veggies were very generous, which I love. The teriyaki chicken and beef were flavorful. I think I might order double protein next time. I got to sit outside, people watch and enjoy a delicious lunch. Casual. Easy parking. Good service. Please come and create your own adventure.

Ive never seen this little meat on large plates..

Be aware!!!! I always wanted to try this place but deeply disappointed.. ordered large plates but they only gave HUGE portions of veggies and tiny tiny little portions of meat.. to the point rice is showing LOL it looked really bad in person!!! ive never experienced this in ANY kind of teriyaki place!! Also cashier lady was so nice but the person who gave me the food threw the utensils on the plate..

Fast. Got the beef/chicken teriyaki bowl. Beef and chicken was tender and teriyaki sauce was savory.

Mama (Mayumi) has poured so much of herself into this restaurant, from the artwork on the walls to the warm hospitality that makes it feel like you're being welcomed into someone's home. (Oishii Desu "It's Delicious") If it's your first visit, don't skip the Okinawan specialties. The mountain yam dishes, rafute (braised pork belly), Okinawan soba, and an ice-cold Orion beer served in a frosted glass are all part of what makes Habuya so memorable. It's a place to slow down, share plates, and enjoy the experience. I'm genuinely happy to see Habuya getting so much attention on social media because it's well deserved. My only hope is that as more people discover it, they also help preserve what makes it special. This is a small, family-run restaurant, so please be patient during check-in, be kind to the staff, and remember that many guests have been waiting for the opportunity to enjoy the experience as well. Come to appreciate the food, drinks, and Okinawan culture--not just to snap a few photos and leave. One thing to keep in mind is that if you don't drink alcohol or follow a vegan diet, the menu may feel a bit more limited. But if you're open to experiencing authentic Okinawan cuisine, Habuya is truly one of Orange County's hidden gems.

The vibes of this restaurant is very much an "drinks after work " vibe and the noise and busy dinner rush really makes you feel like you've been transported out of OC. Coming here with my young one and not drinking for sure is a different experience and I'm not sure if I'd bring my 4 year old again as the noise environment made him a bit overwhelmed after a long day. As for the food, I had some soba to help fight the heat and it hit the spot highly recommend on a warm summer night. Pair it off either a cold one or any of their non alcoholic drinks to really complete the meal and experience. Yet, they were so welcoming and sat us immediately and let us order while waiting for our other friends. The last two showed up with the cake and they immediately took it to the back. All the food came out with extreme speed, but also accuracy and freshness. Everything, from the salmon belly with mushrooms, to the mackerel ponzu, to the gyoza, to the skewers, to the sashimi bowl was genuinely delicious; the fish was so sweet and fatty! The favorite of the night was definitely the salmon belly for us. We kept burning our tongues on the delicious fattiness, the piping hot juicy mushrooms. The mackerel ponzu was so chilled and refreshing, yet so tender! I thought the yuzu shio ramen and the gyoza was quite salty though. The brisket wrapped enoki was seriously juicy. Right when my mouth was stuffed with enoki mushrooms, they turned off the lights and I had to chew furiously while they sang to me. It was incredibly kind of them to cut the cake for us and there wasn't an additional fee for it either. Thanks to their beautifully efficient service, we were out the door by 12am sharp. It's been my third time coming here and I look forward to coming back very soon. Everything is reasonably priced and the service has always been impeccably thoughtful.

There's plenty of parking in the shopping center, but finding a spot immediately in front of the restaurant can be a bit challenging since you're competing with customers from several nearby restaurants and a coffee shop. As for the wait, we joined the Yelp waitlist before arriving, and our table was ready when we got there. It wasn't fully packed by the time we sat down. While he was busy chatting with another table, we were waiting for 15 minutes before the guy who seated us came to take our order. We ordered and noticed people who were seated much later than us got their food already. Another server who brought food to the table next to us noticed us and asked if we got our food yet. He double checked for us and main server hadn't sent our order to the kitchen. We had already waited 25 minutes in addition after placing our order. Our order came out very quickly after the realization. Unfortunately the lemon salmon sushi roll that came out seemed incredibly rushed. The roll wasn't tucked in so each piece we grabbed broke apart. The fried squid legs were good. The udon texture was good, but by the time our food came out, we weren't in the best mood. All the waiting and lack of service ruined our appetite. The 2nd server gave us a bag of salted noodle toppings to-go as a solace for the bad service? Though this location is bigger than the original, I'll be going to the Costa Mesa restaurant for better service.
