This place was actually pretty good staff was nice. I read the comments from someone to get the plate so I can at least try more than one food items which I did. I got the combination plate beef and chicken within both salads. The sauce they used for the salads was really good. Both meats were soft and not too chewy or fatty, great taste will go back. This is my husband's and I's second time visiting. We were gifted a coupon that was valid for 2 bowls priced at $20. On the coupon itself, there is no specifications on which type of chicken bowl you are able to get, it just says "chicken" not (dark meat or breast). We typically enjoy white meat so we asked for white meat and the lady taking our order straight said no. We asked if we can pay extra for the white meat and she said no again and then specified that there was no button on their system to apply the coupon that way. It was either we use the coupon or we don't, but it's only applicable for the dark meat chicken bowl. Considering you're in customer service we at least expected a "oh I'm so sorry I know the coupon might not specify but it's only applicable for the dark meat chicken bowls."The way she said handled things even after we offered to pay extra speaks volumes of the way this place is ran. Honestly it's not that huge of a deal but this is the second time we come here and they treat us this way. Her demeanor and the way she spoke to us/ the way the situation was handled felt very hostile and unprofessional. Macaroni salad - this is definitely an acquired taste so I'll stay neutral here. I'd say - stick to the meats and rice. Considering they have Happy Hour deal, it's worth a try. I was excited to try a new meat place to feed my protein cravings- but I was mildly disappointed. My friend and I were in the area looking for places to eat, and we decided to try this shop to branch out on new foods. I got the mini with rice, kale salad, and the chicken breast. I was honestly very excited to try the food because it was presented very well and looked delicious, but I was disappointed by how dry the chicken was. The seasoning and sauce was pretty good, but I couldn't get over the dryness from the meat. However the kale salad was really good though- I thoroughly enjoyed it. My friend also complained that his wagyu meat was dry as well, not so much as dry as mine, but still left his tongue with no moisture after chewing. The inside of the store is probably catered to more of an order n go, since it was a pretty small area, and there were a lot of seating outside. For the service, I was waiting at the register for a good 5-10 minutes waiting for the people to take my order but they mistakened me for someone who was waiting for food, so I was slightly annoyed at the fact that I had to wait all that time to order some food that wasn't really worth the price and time. We haven't been back to this side of Culver plaza since Tea Station and Baskin Robbins closed, but we decided to try this new place out after seeing "wagyu" on the menu. Thought it was super interesting to see protein bowls/plates offered as well as a butcher shop on the side for wagyu steaks/meats. We came by to pick up dinner here and grabbed tea next door too. I ordered the wagyu beef bowl with no green onions and sub brown rice (+ $1.00). Boyfriend got the combination plate with wagyu beef and kurobuta pork. The bowl comes with a side of cabbage salad and the plate had two salad sides: cabbage & kale salad. The cabbage salad is quite bitter and was lightly dressed. To bring more balance, I added some of their teriyaki sauce and hot sauce. Since we brought it home, I also added mayo to make it more of a slaw. It mixed well with the beef too! The star of the show, wagyu beef, was good but fell short of my expectations. I felt it was over cooked and dry, which is a far cry from what I thought of for "wagyu" since it's known for its extreme marbling. I had hope it would have been more tender and soft instead. However, seasoning was flavorful and I really liked their brown rice. Overall, it was nice to try something new. I think if I were to return, it would probably be to try their selections from the butcher shop. The prices seem reasonable and I would be able to cook to my preference at home. read more

Don't let the 3 stars fool you, 3 stars is still good and something worth trying! i enjoy the salmon and mac,cabbage combo. i would say the knock is its a bit dry and they offer minimal side options. i believe for the cabbage it's a little more than the kale, which to me doesn't make sense. the mac salad is tasty and so is the salmon, i do think it's a little pricey. all that being said, it's still a great option!
