I've had Burning X Korean BBQ bookmarked for a while and I finally stopped by to try it. I love that they have special pricing for weekday lunch at $21.99. I came on a weekend and chose their Premium menu at $38.99 per person. The quality of the meats were good, I was very impressed with the quality of the Beef Tongue and Beef Brisket. The Pork Jowl was also a standout, great texture and not dry at all. They have marinated meats and sides in the buffet area. The price doesn't come with drinks, but it is still a good price for the quality and variety of meats. The service was good - they changed out our grill plate frequently and was helpful when it came to ordering more food. The reason for four stars is because I felt the restaurant wasn't very clean. The floors were oily slick. The tables and surrounding areas were sticky. The restroom/kitchen area had a sewage smell. Overall, I would come back again especially if they don't raise their prices.

I wanted to update my review since its been awhile and they have changed their menu since. I recently came here during the weekend for lunch with one other person. We got their most basic menu. You can order meats off the menu or grab the ones at the self service bar. They also had some banchan at the self service bar. All of the meats we ordered and got were all good for the price. We enjoyed everything we got. And at the end we were able to get shin ramen. The staff was a little understaffed but they were pretty good about making sure we always had meats. They also were good about changing our grills when it was burnt. Overall, it was a good experience and we would be back. It's a great price for the quality and options.

My buddies and I wanted some delicious Korean BBQ tonight, so we stopped in at Burning X to see what kind of flavor journey we could find- and ZING! It did not disappoint!! First, the service was fast and super efficient. They consistently changed our grill like clockwork, giving us a premium cooking surface that was always clean and ready for the next round! All three of us ordered from Menu A - helping ourselves to the meat and salad bar items. Our server also recommended the Prime Beef Marinated Short Rib from the kitchen, and it was bomb! Soju is on hand and a good time awaits all in this well run establishment. We'll definitely be coming back. 감사합니다 Enjoy!

I visited this all you can eat Korean bbq spot with spotless meat bar and salad bar. Our server Paul was so friendly, attentive and very helpful. We got the premium menu with pork jowl, Wagyu beef belly, prime galbi. The meat quality was so good, I also love their BanChan. Restaurant was spacious and clean. Overall, everything from the food quality to the service exceeded my expectations. I would definitely come back and recommend this spot to anyone looking for a delicious and affordable AYCE Korean BBQ experience.

If you're looking for affordable Korean barbecue during the lunch hour with decent quality, he found a place at burning X. Came by during a weekday for lunch after seeing many positive reviews on yelp. The lunch hour wasn't busy, but still had a respectable crowd. There are certain meats that you have to order with a server, but others you can grab on your own at the meat bar. Selection during the lunch hours is a bit limited, but the beef brisket and beef belly are definitely the winners. About $20 a person, you can't find a better deal nearby. Service is friendly and quick, and the interior is clean, as it can be since this is a Korean barbecue place. Definitive recommend if you're on a budget but want delicious KBBQ.

Came to Burning X Korean BBQ and had a great experience. The space is clean, spacious, and well-kept, with a more traditional KBBQ setup that feels comfortable and not overwhelming. The self-serve banchan bar is super convenient and always stocked, which makes the experience feel easy and relaxed. Meat quality was solid overall, but the beef tongue really stood out -- thinly sliced, tender, and cooked perfectly on the grill. One thing I really appreciated is that this is a spot where you can comfortably dine solo, which is rare for KBBQ places. Service was attentive, food came out quickly, and I never felt rushed. Great option for both groups and solo KBBQ cravings -- I'd definitely come back

New gem found in Tustin. My coworkers celebrated my engagement and it was a nice time. Dinner weekday price was $29.99 and there were options to add better protein as well. I love how easy and convenient and clean this place is for BBQ. Usually these places are packed and quite smokey but this place was good. Maybe they had powerful fans to suck up the smoke but it could also be that they changed our grill 3 times during our 90 minute dining experience. Staff food and efficient. Speaks Korean and a little bit of English. I really liked their kalbi as it's marinated perfectly. The sliced radish are my favorites. Vinegary and crunchy. Their steaks are also good but can be fatty. Will definitely be back again soon.

Great price for AYCE BBQ! They allow reservations and have a big parking lot. The meat quality was good for the price and they had a pretty extensive 'buffet' type bar area with marinated meats and kimchis! We went quite early at 5pm so it was nice and quiet before it started picking up with more customers around 6pm!

Adding this KBBQ spot straight into my rotation! They've got a killer lunch special Monday-Thursday from 11:30 AM-3 PM for just $21.99. We went for Combo A today -- 44 items for $26.99 per person -- and it was so good. You can really taste the quality in their meats, and I found myself going back for pork belly and galbi over and over again. They also have a self-serve buffet station in the center where you can grab your own meats and banchan, which I love because you never have to flag down a server for more sides. Overall, the vibes were great, the music was bopping, and the service was on point. Definitely coming back.

Burning X really surprised me. Lately I have been eating AYCE KBBQ too many times that the flavor and meat quality has been just okay and these spots claimed to be really top tier kbbq spots has been a let down. It's good but not OMG, I want to go back again vibes. BUT!!! Burning X's LA Galbi, is absolutely delicious. I am soooo in LOVE. To the point we stopped eating the marinated boneless short rib, rib finger, wagyu beef belly, premium short ribs, pork jowls and just focused on LA Galbi with the 3 bones. We order 5 orders. It comes in a set of two. It really has a great balance of flavor not being too salty or sweet or bland and the tenderness, amazing . Honestly all the pieces were excellent! Next time, I'm gonna ignore all the meats and just get the LA Galbi Short Rib ( with the bones)!!! I also enjoyed their kimchi bar, the pickled soy onions & radish and their salad with all of my LA Galbi Short Rib pieces. Absolute heaven and the service was amazing!

Great meat variety and banchan. Some tasted better than others. I do like that I have the option of getting the banchan myself to the amount I would prefer. The service was good and they came over to regularly change our grill. The double grill table tho makes it awkward for a grill change because the servers need to invade your space to change the grill. I definitely felt uncomfortable with how close a proximity they had to come to me or my friends to provide this service. We also had one grill that was working well and one that was barely working which was frustrating when trying to cook for five people.

Came here on a weeknight and it wasn't busy. The parking lot is big as it shares it with other neighboring establishments. It's kind of set up differently than other KBBQ that I'm used to. The premium meats come out to you, but other "common" proteins are all self served. Ex, bulgogi, Teri chicken Most of the banchans (side dishes) are also self served. Kim chee, cucumber Kim chee, daikon rounds, etc... Rice paper and chapchae are brought out. Rice is also self served. The meats were ok. I didn't see on the menu, nor did I ask tho, but there wasn't any steamed egg, spicy tofu soup or bean sprouts. I really enjoy these whenever I KBBQ. Service was great. Our grill got changed right away when it got dirty. Our dirty plates were taken away quickly too. Would I come back? Probably not, there are a ton of other restaurants that I would like to try.

Came here for the first time with friends right when it opened. First impression walking in was the smell of bleach and sewage. Had to go to the bathroom and the girls restroom is so gross! Looks like the ground has mold or something nasty on it and it smells like sewage pipes. The sink is also green from them not cleaning it properly. Their menu also says "wagyu-like", immediately a flag. Cheesy sales tactic to make it seem like the meat is good quality. The first round of meat wasn't good, very tough and their marinade is too sweet and heavy. You can see in the pics of the brisket that it's tough and barely any fat in the middle. The beef belly was probably the best meat we had but compared to other places it was below average. Pork belly was not as tender. They didn't have any steamed eggs and the sides were not very good either and cold. Service wasn't that good either, I had to flag the server down multiple times to order more food and change the grill. We kept running out of food while the grill burned since we couldn't put in orders in a timely manner and the meat was slow to come out.

The meat quality is consistent, and there are plenty of options to choose from. We tried the Pyunbaek steamer, and the galbi eye is always a must. The fried pork belly was also excellent, especially with sesame oil, salt, and pepper. The food and service are always great, and the environment is friendly. For dessert, they served sikhye (sweet rice drink) slushieeeees ,which was refreshing after a heavy meal. Overall, one of the best shabu spots for us. Great price, great food, and always a place we come back to happy tummy happy wife

As usual, Brazilian meats get salty and chewy but actually this visit wasn't bad at all. The meat were tender and mainly cooked medium rare without being too chewy or medium/well. They start the table with some mashed potatoes, cheese balls, fries and plantains. Salad bar was decent as it has a few variety of salads, cold meats, a lot of cheeses, smoked salmon. They have thin slices pineapple, but unfortunately not the cinnamon grilled pineapples I usually like. They also don't have any pasta, but the lobster bisque was pretty good.

It's been years since I've been to a Brazilian BBQ, so I was excited to have a nice family dinner…read moresince my nephew was visiting. Atmosphere is great! A little chilly when you first sit down but it gets more comfortable once you start eating LOL! Our server, Nathan was great! Friendly and attentive! Even management engaged with our table. Salad bar has great options and the lobster bisque is amazing! Now for the disappointments: *a lot of the meats and especially the shrimp was very salty and made it challenging to eat more *Dessert: the chocolate cake was the best of what we ordered, nice and decadent! Banana pie was OK. Creme Brule was not our favorite (not very silky) We didn't finish 2 out of the 3. *Lastly, I don't like it when restaurants come around and offer you their "special" drinks making it look like it comes with the AYCE price, only to find out at the end there's a charge for every item you take off the tray. Our bad for not asking so we didn't complain, just wish we liked the drinks! Plan on spending about $100 a person if you get cocktails and dessert.

It looks very modern and clean. Service was fast and the staff were very attentive. I brought my mama here for mother's days and it was her first Shabu experience and a great one at that. I got Tonkatsu base 10/10. An honorable mention is their cooked chicken (I'll insert a picture). Easy layout and ordering process. I think this is my new favorite Shabu. One thing to note is the kids price is a bit on the higher side $17/child (so if your kiddos eat very little maybe it won't be worth it for you). I also noticed that the restroom has a baby changing station! You'd be surprised how many don't, so thank you from a grateful mom who notices these things.

Everything is truly unlimited, and you can taste the difference in the freshness and marbling. The cuts were tender, flavorful, and cooked perfectly in the broth. If you're debating the wagyu upgrade, do it. The marbling is beautiful and it melts in your mouth. Definitely worth the upcharge. Their unlimited bar is another highlight. They offer a wide selection of fresh seafood, crisp vegetables, hot side dishes, and a full sauce station so you can customize every bowl exactly how you like it. Everything looked clean, well stocked, and high quality. What makes it even more exciting is that starting next month they'll be offering ayce sushi as well. If it's anything like the quality of their shabu, it's going to be a huge win. Great service, great selection, and premium quality ingredients. I'll definitely be coming back.
