Fabulous experience from start to finish! I'll admit I was dubious about what my leis would look like by the time they trekked all the way from Oahu to Florida, but Aloha Island Lei not only made me three gorgeous leis but also delivered them in perfect condition (see "upon arrival" photo). And all with ZERO micromanagement or follow up on my part. Mahalo Nui Aloha!

I ordered a double tuberose lei from Aloha Island Lei and I couldn't be happier! It was my Mom's 91st birthday and I wanted it sent to the mainland. I contacted them via email and inquired about the shipping and packing. They said they could have it arrive the day before her birthday and it would still be fresh and lovely. The shipping cost was very reasonable and it arrived exactly when they said it would. At one point I had ordered a micro ginger lei, but then I changed my mind to the tuberose lei, and they were very helpful and accommodating with the changes I made. They packed the lei in a big, long box with ice packs and the lei was in perfect condition when it arrived. It was as if I had just bought it at their shop. Per their instructions, I put the lei in a ziplock bag and stuck it in my fridge and it was just as fresh the next day! The lei smelled so beautiful and it looked gorgeous on my Mom! Mahalo, Aloha Island Lei for the stunning lei and outstanding customer service! You are my go-to lei shop from now on.

Can't say enough about the customer service and Aloha from these folks. Da Scene: It's the kiddo's 8th grade graduation and the wife & I are BUSY - we pull a "I thought you ordered the lei's!!" conversation two nights before the big day. CRAP, we're toast right? I decide to try and call 1st thing the next morning, prepared for disappointment - Carla & I have ordered a lot of leis from them over the years and know that while they do ship overnight, they need a day of prep, especially for complicated leis or large orders. We need a nice one for the kiddo and 15 single strand orchids for the teachers. It was a BAD night, I went to sleep full of disappointment and guilt, I didn't want to face my daughter w/out the signature Hana we have given her for every milestone, graduations, championships, birthdays, etc. Da Service: It's 8:30am in California but they pickup on the 2nd ring. I explain the situation, I need overnight service and I need it to go out THAT day to arrive 24 hours later... I brace for the response. The girl (I believe her name was "Jas") says "hold on lemme see what we can do". When she comes back she says "I'm so sorry, but we can't do the Hana and ship today, we have a special Shelly (kind of like a Cigar but with different colors) that you can have with the 15 single orchids, should be there by noon." DROP THE MIC, WALK OFF THE STAGE Jaw drop, dead silence on my side, cause I'm shocked. She says, "is that OK...?" I try to mask my excitement/joy/relief and respond, YES, totally, got for it. We exchange information, get the order processed and in short time I receive an email confirmation, then 2 hours later a FedEx tracking notification. I took the day off since last time there was an agriculture hold and I had to go to Emeryville for pickup, but this time it came right to the house at 9:30 am - 25 hours later. Sometimes having good karma is not enough, you need good people too, Much Mahalos Jas!! Da Goods: Perfect, beautiful, fresh & fragrant. I wrapped 'em in a damp towel and put them in the fridge, while I write this review, hours before the event. HUGE thanks for saving the day... you'll always be my go to spot for a taste of Ohana on special occasions.

I ordered some leis for my cousin's graduation ceremony last weekend and was able to pick them up no problem. Let me tell you, they were absolutely beautiful! My cousin wore her leis most of the day and they seemed to have lasted. I got a haku, ginger, cigar and one other type but I forgot the name. The ginger one smelt AMAZING! I recommend using their website to see what is in stock, it is relatively easy to navigate. Nothing beats a flower lei!!

Got ti leaf with tuberose. Didn't really look like the pic on the website. I prefer their ti leaf maile better.

So very disappointed. I called about 2 weeks in advance to see if they could make everything that I needed. They said yes and I was so happy and glad that I didn't have to stress about finding my haku and leis. I went to pick everything up today. My haku and lei looked fine. My boyfriends maile lei looked horrible! A lot of it was dead! They gave me an ugly maile lei and charged me 50 bucks for it!!!! I was shocked. That's horrible business. I was planning on going back to them for my baby shower too, but not now. Good thing I checked the lei before leaving. If you didn't have fresh leaves you should of told me instead of being sneaky and trying to get away with giving me a dead lei and charging me 50 bucks. That's crazy. They did refund me. But I needed the lei in 2 days. Good thing I found one. You can go to Foodland in Kapolei. They have beautiful ones for only 10 bucks.

My nephew was born on Maui but moved to the mainland just as he entered high school. I didn't want him to miss out on the tradition of being covered in lei's for graduation so I ordered leis from Aloha Island Lei. I was a bit nervous since we have never ordered Lei's to be shipped to the mainland but I had nothing to worry about. The lei's arrived on time, with great instructions for care and looked like just like when I buy them at home! I cannot say enough about their quality and service! We ordered lei's for my daughter's birthday. I was hesitant given that they needed to be sent to California. We placed the order on a Tuesday, they arrived as promised on Thursday. They were absolutely gorgeous! The lei's were in perfect condition, with clear instructions on keeping them fresh. I order from Aloha Island Lei for our basketball graduation senior night. The leis are always fresh and look beautiful. I have tried other lei companies and sometimes their leis come in brown and wilted. That's not good especially when by then it's too late to reorder or find another company. I ordered a lei from Aloha Island as I'd read about them on Facebook and they had mostly positive reviews. I was interested - and a little concerned - to see how the lei would fare in my home town of Las Vegas in the middle of a very hot summer. I needn't have worried; the package arrived via Fed Ex Priority Overnight last Tuesday with two insulated ice packs and the flower lei was fresh and in good condition, with only about 2 or 3 petals in the bottom of the box. They do advise you to make sure someone is available to accept delivery, which is important as the ice packs would not have lasted long in the Las Vegas heat. As instructed in the accompanying information, I placed the lei in the fridge as soon as I received it, then used it the next day. I've kept it in the fridge since then and have taken it out a few times since then just to see if it's remained fresh and except for some broken petals and slight wilting from where the flowers came in contact with the back of my neck, it has maintained its freshness. Because of its good condition I could still wear it, but grocery shopping while wearing my lei does seem a bit much. I'm giving the company 5 stars because of the freshness and quality of the product and because of the excellent service I received. read more

The amazing detail to packaging and excellence was out of this world. I love the exquisite selection of leis that Aloha Island Lei & Floral offers. I received my double tuberose lei on Thursday. It was BEAUTIFUL. The ice packs were still frozen, the styrofoam protected the fragile flowers wonderfully, absolutely NO bruising. And the scent.... oh, my. I gave it to a teacher friend and she left an island fragrance everywhere she went. So many compliments!!! My next lei will definitely come from Aloha Island Lei. This is my 3rd lei in 8 months. I'll definitely get another from them. read more

I ordered ten Leis and 50 orchid "heads" for the scattering of my husband's ashes near Catalina Island. The flowers arrived the day before the event and they were absolutely beautiful. Family members wore the leis and when the time came they tossed them into the water along with the "heads" - it was a beautiful sight and I am sure one that we will never forget! read more

This Lei Company is Great. We needed beautiful Leis from Hawaii quickly and reasonably priced for an unexpected Funeral on the East Coast. Their website is Great, and when we spoke to their staff, they couldn't have been nicer, more thorough, understanding and offered great suggestions. I've always been able to find parking easily in the private parking lot attached to the building (about 4 stalls). Lei selection varies day to day. They usually have crown flower strands and cigar lei. I was able to get a full puakenikeni lei for $30 as it's in season. Flowers for grave sites are also available. I recommend calling first to see what they have if you're looking for something particular, especially lei. They are really nice and will place lei on hold for you.

Watanabe has everything here, not only floral needs, you can just do your one stop gift shopping her. Like a local Hallmark with all the trinkets, gifts, snacks, jewelry, some very unique items that I never seen before. I came across the handmade crochet items and couldn't pass up on the bird and flower key chain, had to get them. They have very great vendors they purchase from, that's a great for supporting local! Up until now, they've always done a great job, but this recent experience for Mother's Day was extremely disappointing. First, the delivery driver brought the wrong bouquet. I paid $209.41 (including delivery), but my mom received a bouquet that was clearly not what I ordered later confirmed to be a lower priced arrangement. I had to call customer service, who then contacted the driver immediately. While I appreciate that they responded quickly, it still took about 47 minutes for the driver to return, take back the incorrect bouquet, and retrieve the correct one from the truck. When the correct arrangement finally arrived, the presentation was still off. The vase was too short for the flowers, making the bouquet look unbalanced and like it was falling out. For over $200, I expected much better attention to detail and quality. On top of that, the company advertised "free delivery," but that only applied to very limited areas on the island. I still had to pay a delivery fee despite the initial mistake being entirely on their end, which felt misleading. Overall, this was a frustrating and disappointing experience, especially for a special occasion like Mother's Day. I've had good experiences before, but this one really missed the mark.

I received the lei yesterday, in Colorado! It came packaged well to ensure it arrived fresh....it came in a box that contained ice packs and shredded paper to cushion the lei. The lei itself was in a special paper and breathable plastic wrap. I misted the lei with water then placed it in a plastic bag and stored it in the refrigerator overnight. Today, I have it on display and it is so fragrant...my house smells great! I was amazed that the lei arrived all the way from Hawaii in such great condition...I highly recommend this company!! read more

Thank-you Aloha Island Leis!!! On Saturday, June 6, 2015, we had a Bridal Shower for my daughter. We wanted to gift her and all the guests with real Hawaiian Leis. Living in Wisconsin, we don't have access to fresh leis. So after some research we found Aloha Island Leis. What a perfect choice!!!
