Absolutely the best Poke. We were recommended to come to Aloha Poke by our cruise captain, said it was the best poke on the island. We couldn't have been more satisfied. The poke was absolutely delicious. Fresh and flavorful. Also, the service was friendly and incredible. They had quite the line when we showed up and they got everyone through very quickly. Also, there was an ingredient we didn't know about in one of our poke bowls and when we brought it to their attention they remade the dish no problem. It meant a lot, and again, the food was incredible. Definitely recommend checking this spot out. It's worth a little bit of an extra drive as well Thank you Aloha Poke!
Nothing beats fresh poke before and/or after the beach, and this one hit the spot perfectly. Fresh fish and great portions. One of the best poke bowls I've had on the island. Mahalo!
So fresh! Made to order poke. Mixed up and packaged while we waited. Amazing flavors and quite a selection of options. The owners are the staff; and the service as impeccable. Super helpful and answered all our questions. A quaint shop tucked away; so don't miss this spot. Small interior counter space and a few tables for eating outside. I recommend grab and go to the beach spot of choice for this meal. Highly recommend, especially if you are in the westside.
Simply delicious poke. You know when you walk into a place and it is cash only and the menu is on a white board that it is most likely going to be phenomal and at this place that stereotype held true. I got the Dave's special with brown rice/wonton chips and half salmon/ahi. So tasty. Fish tasted like the ocean and the sauce, veggies, masago, etc were all super fresh. Friendly employee and very fairly priced at $15 for a regular with a good portion (I'm a big eater and almost couldn't finish). Just a little hole in the wall joint, but perfect for a post-beach meal.
Food was amazing and service was great. Ordered the crab wonton and spicy California with smoke meat combo so Ono. Aunty at the counter suggested for us to try something different next time we come back & I think I'm going to do exactly that!

We enjoy stopping in for the spicy ahi and garlic shoyu ahi bowls and then take them to enjoy at Pokai bay while watching sunset. Parking right in front, walk in and 5 min later, you have a great dinner. It is a small shop with a table outside to sit if needed.

Love this little hidden gem. If you're ever in Waianae, you must stop at this poke shack. You can eat there or It's right near pokai bay. Poke is mixed to order. They got local style candy mui (candy mixed with preserved lemon) and plate lunch. Braddah in the front is soft spoken, patient, and sweet. He answered all of our questions and sold us on the hawaiian plate. We got the hawaiian plate, 1/4 limu ahi, 1/4 hawaiian salmon on wonton chips, 1/4 furikake salmon on mixed greens and lomi oio. My favorite was the furikake salmon salad. The limu ahi was a bit under seasoned, but still fresh. Hawaiian salmon on chips was still crunchy after our drive. The hawaiian plate was soooooo ono! The haupia is the best haupia I've ever had. It was like pudding! We also ordered lomi oio but they forgot to put it in our bag. We went back the the restaurant after we ate and when I walked in they just handed me the container. The lomi oio was soo so sweet and clean tasting. We stopped at hawaiian chip company on the way back into town and ate it with chips. YUM! There's a counter that seats 6 and a picnic table outside. I recommend picnic at the park around the block. Overall a true hidden gem in Waianae.
I discovered this place when I moved here last year, after the beach. I honestly think they have the best poke on the island. Every time I'm on that side, I make sure to go there. The staff is very friendly, and although the space is small, it is convenient to order and fast. It is the perfect place to grab poke before heading to the beach.
First time trying Aloha Poke on 6/19/25. Poke was good. We ordered spicy mayo and furikake flavor with nachos. The nacho chips were ok. The poke was good and fresh. The service was good with friendly staff. The staff who helped us was patient and answered our questions. The place was small but they offered outdoor seating for those who want to eat there. They are located in Waianae.
Aloha Poke is unassuming and such a gem in Waianae. Stopped off today on the way back from Makaha. The lady at the front was so sweet and very patient. Five star service. I was overwhelmed with the amazing choices. By seeing it from outside, you would never expect that the food is so spectacular. I started off by ordering the laulau which was cooked to perfection and the pork was plentiful. I added on some poke (spicy ahi and spicy cali) which was well seasoned and came in portions of 1/4,1/2, 1lb. Last minute, I had to order the salmon belly and best decision ever! It was the perfect amount of fat, which made it rich and mouthwatering. I came with rice and definitely did not need anything else. The flavor was spectacular and I can see myself getting this anytime I come to Makaha area. Go support this small business! You will not regret it.
Best poke i've ever had in my life. Great quality fish, amazing and simple ingredients, and wonderful staff. This spot is a true hidden gem.

I don't eat a lot of poke but that's what my daughter wanted so that's what we were getting. Small place with few seats inside and couple picnic tables outside which is where we ate. I got the Kalua pork poke bowl (pork was cooked) both the pork and poke were great along with the rice it came with. A lot of food so I have half of it left over and price was very reasonable, under $20. read more

Divine poke spot on the west side. Not a spot you'll know if you're just here for vacation. If you're here for vacation take the drive here and hit Makua. The owner was an angel and very sweet to us. After the food she's the second reason you'd want to go back All the fish is pre cut and whatever style you want they'll mix fresh in the bowl so mine of it is pre made. It's the melt in your mouth type of fish you want in your poke. Like biting into butter. Head to the west side and grab this gem read more

After a day at the beach, this was a refreshing meal selection was light and tasty but very satisfying My husband and I selected Ahi Tuna Hawaiian Style, and my son had Ahi Tuna Ginger Shoyu Style. All had exceptional flavor and taste thoroughly savored. read more

The reviews really speak for themselves...literally everyone has this place down to a T.... Customer service, taste & quality, & overall atmosphere is really a 10/10! So happy I checked yelp for Poke places in Waianae and made my other half turn the car around just so we can go try, lol. He was happy he did too...a newly found favorite for us when we go to the west side! Ty to the aunty over the counter who gave me and my fam free samples and had soooo much aloha!!! My favorite poke on Oahu!! Not just because of their banging poke but also because of their standout service. While we were deciding between pokes, they offered us multiple samples to try. I personally prefer poke with a little bit of texture, and they were so kind to make such accommodations by adding on more garlic crisps and onion slices. We went with the Spicy and Hawaiian style. The ahi tuna was so fresh, and they're super generous with the serving sizes. Each piece of fish was coated with enough sauce to spill into the rice. You can tell this is a mom and pop poke shop, and I really feel like I got the most authentic poke on Oahu. I recommend that you take a seating on the outdoor benches and enjoy your poke with a scenic mountain backdrop read more

Super delicious but the workers were not friendly at all. They seemed unhappy about something. I got the spicy ahi and my boyfriend got the garlic shoyu. They were out of brown rice. He gave me some of his onions because he had too many and I like veggies with my poke and the spicy ahi was just poke and rice. I do feel like for $15 the serving size was small. Anyways, we really really enjoyed our bowls and I think I would go back. read more

Shovel it into my mouth! All of it! Hot damn this place has some legit Ahi Tuna poke! My goodness, it was so fresh and buttery. Everything after this is going to be so terrible. My bar has been raised, and there is no going back. I'll go have wonderful poke somewhere but I'll secretly think of the best poke I ever had... it's like a curse! Still.., you gotta try it! The food was amazing!! Mouth watering, absolutely just melts in your mouth! This is the first time we came here and we were greeted with such a warm aloha by Noe, who is one of the owners with her husband. We ordered a variety of their foods for the family, and everyone at home loved it! We will be definitely be coming back here over and over again. Fortunate that we came across this local gem hole in the wall. The poke was outstanding. The service super friendly and overall our experience was 5 out of 5!! A short drive from a beach we arrived starving: we got the AHI katsu for the kids and a poke bowl #1 for us Then we got a 1/2 lb of the garlic shoyu. Wow!! Next time I'll just do straight up poke without the bowl- well done Aloha Poke!! read more
5 stars all around. After spending the morning at the beach we had to grab a quick bite and off course we're craving poke. We found aloha poke driving back home and had to do a turn around to see what it was talking about. It's a tiny little shop but food and customer service were amazing. We were given samples and the customer service was just truly embracing the aloha you feel when you're on this island. The poke was fresh, tasty and just onolicous! 5/5 would def recommend. read more
Food so good wait not so much. Covid has changed the hours which makes it difficult to order ahead. This little place is so busy with locals and tourists alike. Not being familiar with what's on the menu takes so long as people cannot make up their minds. This is the frustrating part as only 3 people are allowed in so, trying to pick up a phone order takes long! They should really offer a separate pick up window to make things go faster. This reason is why the 3 stars. Today I had the baked Salmon topped with crab. This is one of my go to plates. Your able to select brown or white rice. Sprinkled with furikake and Salmon sits on a bed of lettuce. Moist inside nice crisped outside. The crab topping could've been broiled to make it crisper. Instead it was just plopped on after. Still very tasty though. Definitely would go back again. As we are trying to get back to "regular" life businesses still struggle in how to get there. I really get that. Hoping they find the way to expand the service and hours. For people like me who work and on a time crunch every moment matters. Waiting 10 minutes for a phone order because I cannot get in the door is unacceptable. read more
Keep coming back to AP year after year. Because it's always so good and we keep trying different things on their ever changing menu! This time a couple of tourists were there also. One guy asked for something someone posted online then got upset it wasn't what he was seeing in the online photos. Seriously?!?!? People, don't follow the online stuff random people post. Ask the proprietors and the people actually working there and don't get mad at the hard working people who were kind enough to take back what he didn't want because it didn't match random online pics. Sheesh. They are the nicest people ohana. And everyone should treat them the same way. Oh and get some poke or plate lunches too. They're so ono good! This time we got the tried and true fried ahi belly -- crispy on the outside, like buttah on the inside -- and the stuffed ahi -- very creamy and the rice was delicious too! Such a great local place to get hawaiian plates and poke! Every single dish we tried was incredible and came out very quickly! There is no dine in, only take out. There is a table outside the restaurant for outdoor eating. Ahi katsu: Perfectly crispy ahi with delicious savory eel sauce with mayo. The ahi is coated in thick fried batter. The furikake rice was great and had so much flavor. Salmon bake with crab: Extremely tender and buttery salmon. it was sooo well cooked and melted in my mouth. The kani crab topping was really creamy and a great addition. Poke: We tried the shoyu ginger and the spicy ahi and both were demolished within minutes. So much flavor and the fish was so fresh. The raw onion with the poke was so good. read more
I usually will not go anywhere near seafood but as a tourist I NEEDED to try some of Hawaii's fresh poke at least once and this place was sooo good! Fair amount of parking in the lots in the front and back of the building. Note that it's prepared for to-go but there are some picnic tables in front you can sit at. There's also other local dishes such as chicken Katsu available. I ordered the "California" which included avocado with a tuna based poke bowl. It was creamy, delicious and I couldn't even tell I was eating fish. This spot is conveniently located near the beach so it's a good place to grab to-go food before a day in the sun! read more

What's the difference between the Hawaiian style ahi poke and Ahi Limu poke? TIA.
I believe that Hawaiian is Hawaiian salt, limu, crushed kukui nut and crushed chili peppers. Limu poke doesn't have the kukui nut and have green onions and sesame seed oil.
When u purchase a poke bowl do they charge extra for the rice?
Rice is charge extra at .75 per scoop.
