I was a fool to take so long to come here the first time. The coffee was divine. I only stopped by because my usual coffee place was packed, but I'm so glad I did. I think the two employees were Destin and Ash (someone's kids were screaming, it was hard to hear them). The ice cream waffle treats they have here no complaints on the food. How long it takes? It's exceptionally too long man, but it's definitely worth trying at least once. Hawaii is hours away from Florida and expensive. You have not heard this me becuase I have never been. However, Florida has a piece of Honolulu right in Jacksonville. Yummy for my tummy, as my grandson would say. Every bite was an "ooooing" and "ahhhing" on each and every bite of the waffle and the toppings! My wife had the pineapple fruit tea. Was looking for a breakfast place in between doctor appts and happened to find this place. It's a slight bit off the main road leading back to the UF hospital, so you may miss it otherwise. Super good waffles, pretty sure they made their own whip cream. Latte was good too, I love a breakfast places that serves espresso drinks. What a treat this place is. It'll be the only restaurant that is going to be on our must have list when we visit Jacksonville. We live in Savannah and was in Jacksonville for the zoo and we fell in love with this place. The combinations that they've come up with are delicious and we just want to try them all. They are from Hawaii and they moved here years ago, but opened up this place and opened up this restaurant with some creativity. It's got sweet and savory options. They have sweet waffles with ice cream but you can make into a cone or they have savory waffles. We got this week waffles with some ice cream in it and it was delicious. It comes out relatively quickly and I they have coffee as well. There's plenty of seating inside, plenty of free parking outside. There's also outdoor seating as there's a small lake in the back. It's well shaded. Prices are reasonable. It's a cute place to stop by to grab a quick snack and coffee. Highly recommended, we would come back here and try something else next time. read more

My husband and I went here after his dr appointment around 10am. Very few customers, probably had 2 other customers who were seated before us. The place looked fairly new and had a tropical vibe. There was outdoor seating in the back, but it was too cold to sit outside. I ordered the side omelette and a latte and my husband had a bubble waffle with spam. Although the place had a nice ambiance and food was good, the service was very slow. I know we came in mid morning but there were only 2 other customers and one looked like they were already served. Love this place. As soon as you walk in you're greeted with Aloha. The island music playing makes you feel like you're on the islands. Made me miss living in Hawaii. They have a variety of sweet and savory waffles and different teas. We ordered the brunch waffle which is their version of a Monte cristo and a monkey business waffle which had banana, almonds, and cookie butter. Surprisingly the neither was too sweet. Heard about this place through a friend. I heard it was worth checking out. I definitely feel like I need to return another time to fully develop this review, but here is my initial impression: Place is super cute, nice to chill in, & has an outdoor area in the back with tables if you wanna sit outside by the water. Very Jax FL vibes. Whoever took our order didn't fully make us aware of what were in our drinks. My husband ordered the Kauai punch - which came with just jelly & no boba, but she told us there were no more boba & asked if we wanted to sub for something else. So he chose jelly (I chose no sub) - then charged us an extra $1 for this topping, because his drink already came with jelly in the first place. She should have specified that no boba only applied to MY drink. The puff waffles are pretty good on its own so it's not hard to have a delicious puffle in your hands in no time. Just add ice cream & voila! They have a variety to choose from as a preset style but you can also make your own. You have a choice between vanilla or chocolate ice cream. I chose "da Floridian" which has strawberries & cookie butter - it was heavenly delicious. My husband had the "mainlander", which had apple pie filling - & it was good as well but probably wouldn't be my go to. I need to return & try the non dessert version of the puffles & see how I like that. The grilled cheese looked pretty good. On to boba. The drinks were good. I got the brown sugar milk tea. Good enough to return for drinks alone. BUT, it was our first time there & they were out of boba (tapioca pearls), & I was 1 pm on a Saturday. It was disappointing to say the least because the experience didn't feel complete. Taste & texture of boba in a drink can make a difference in a review as well. The inside decor is very inviting with a cool island-like vibe without it being overpowering. Everything is made fresh to order and made right in front of you for you to watch the magic happen! Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating and clean bathrooms too. The food is DELICIOUS! This was a fun spot to visit. They have an array of waffle sandwiches for breakfast, lunch or even dinner so they are a good choice any time. The staff was OK. The person taking orders could not help understand the differences in the boba teas and should probably learn a bit more about the products before helping customers. There was a young lady there who was very knowledgeable and friendly. Maybe the young man was new. I settled on a milk strawberry tea with pineapple jellies. The milk tea had a consistency I cannot really explain but grainy would be as close as I can describe. The pineapple jellies were a good mis with the strawberry and it was really tasty. I will add the straws were a little large, this confused me at first but I quickly understood this was to suck the jellies through and the straw was perfect. This was a treat, not really something I would buy every day and I thought it was reasonably priced for a fun, semi sweet treat. My wife had a pumpkin spice latte. It was a standard coffee size, 16 oz i think. She said it was good, but no better than any other place where pumpkin spice lattes can be found and at just under $10.00 with tax she would not be ordering it again. We did not eat, the food looked fun but being a diabetic most of the food was not friendly for me and once I got to something that would be OK I already saw enough sweet stuff that I had no desire for the others. My closing thoughts are that the food appears to be reasonably priced but I would not eat there for health reasons. The boba milk is a nice treat, I might do that again if I wanted something that was not to sweet. The coffee is WAY over priced. I would not go there for coffee alone. read more

After eating at the nearby La Nopalera restaurant, we decided to stop by the new waffle bar for dessert. We heard about this place opening and said we would give it a try if we had time. I must state that the restaurant was extremely clean and the ambience in the restaurant was great. As shown in the pictures, We were able to watch the sunset through their glass front wall. The staff was extremely nice and helped us navigate their menu. The staff members also helped us select the best option for what we wanted. I had the Peanut Butter cup waffle cone with reeses candy. I love this place! I get my usual Mango Milk tea with Mango Boba. Delicious! I've tried their waffles and was pleasantly surprised! I had the banana and peanut butter one. It was very good. What a great place! Everything was delicious, but what really stood out for me was how NICE everyone was! And people around here are generally all nice, but they really went the extra mile to be polite, courteous, and helpful. You order then take a seat with a buzzer, and return to a different part of the counter to retrieve your food. The helpful staff will also bring things out to you if they are able to. Ok, so we stopped here in the morning for a bite to eat unsure what to expect. The inside is very clean and inviting. After walking up to the counter and reviewing the menu board, I'd say you can categorize their offerings in three ways: coffee, bubble waffles, and Boba, or as they put it, their Tiki Tea Bar. Coffee is a Kona roast I believe that was strong and delicious. Their lattes were so on point my wife had to order a second. They only serve espresso but it shouldn't be a problem for a coffee drinker to order a cappuccino, flat white, or Macchiato. We were wanting breakfast so we had a Breakfast Waffle with crispy bacon, egg, and cheese, an Aloha Waffle with LOTS of fruit, and a Brunch Waffle with ham, swiss, and a really naughty raspberry jam that melded together in delicious perfection. There are many other waffle combos to look into, both savory and sweet, and we need to go back to try something more decadent. My daughter loves her Boba Tea and the Brown Sugar Milk Tea totally delivered. She really enjoyed it putting it up there with the top tier of teas in the area we've tried so far. Again, there are so many varieties to choose from you can return again and again and never grow bored. The simple variety of this unique cafe is a real selling point no matter what your mood may be. I was skeptical. Like... a waffle sandwich? Really? But. Everything was DELICIOUS. Yummy enough that this morning's texts are (well, see for yourself below)... I got the Grill Cheez It Bruh... the waffle was exactly the right sweetness for the cheese... the cheese was sophisticated without being too bougie... I don't know how else to explain it. I was really mad at myself for having agreed to share it. We also got the Aloha Waffle to share. This is the Fourth of July in a waffle. The fruit is FRESH, the whipped cream is FRESH. The whole thing screams summer. There's a lot of whipped cream, so if you don't like it, skip this one. If, like me, you could eat whipped cream with a spoon, welcome to heaven. Finally, we also go Thai Tea Boba frozen with both tapioca and popping boba and let me tell you I'm so relieved I don't have to cross the Dames Point for Boba anymore. read more
