You'll see painting of different local artist on the wall which is also for sale. If you fancy any of the paintings just ask the lady in charge for the price and she'll be happy to help you. They're also electronic charging stations here so perfect to relax get a cup of coffee, tea or just a coco charge your phone and admire some artistic paintings. Food: 5 star everyone says best coffee in Kauai to tell you the truth I don't drink coffee so I can't say anything about the coffee but I did try their hot coco and it was really good not too sweet but you definitely feel the aloha in that cup of coco. Service: 5 star service theres only one lady that manages the whole cafe at that time but she definitely is a Host she knows how to multi task with grace. There was 5 people there that she's helping and she was able to service all of us in a speedily manner in a perfectly executed order and on top of that she was able to personalize all our experiences by giving us suggestions on the must visit places in Waimea Kauai. When Auntie Candy told me "Aloha & welcome; are you ready for the best coffee you've ever had??" I laughed out loud: literally. Having experienced expresso in the Cinque Terra of Italy, Komo Estates Peaberry french-pressed coffee on Hawai'i Island & dark roasted beans grown in the Andean Mountains of Peru; & in general being a complete coffee-lover / addict, I was justifiably skeptical. So; I don't know if it's the alkaline water, the special blend of coffee bean she custom orders (I saw the gents delivering it when I sat there!) or the love she puts into it, but it was indeed the BEST cup I've had. My vote is on the LOVE she puts into every single cup. Ask for cinnamon & make sure to spend time "Kaua'i style" talking story with Auntie Candy & enjoying her multiple signs & local art. Yes on the WiFi for you hustlers trying to escape the grind but can't quite fully commit to off-the-grid life for long. She closes at NOON so please keep that in consideration. Candy; you ROCK! She enjoys custom making coffees for customers, and we were not disappointed! We also purchased some local art prints from the gallery. Overall, this place is wonderful and Candy is a gem. A gem of a coffee bar all because of its owner, Candy. We frequented this place during our short stay at Waimea. Our coffee was made to order with specific questions on how we wanted it. I was partial to the hot 'chocolatey' mocha with whip. Hey, I was on vacation so don't judge :-). Candy was friendly and accommodating. I also enjoyed the quirkiness of the gallery/coffee shop set up. They have maps on the walls with pins on them representing countries and US cities that tourists are from. There's comfortable inside and outside seating for those who opt to drink their coffee in the shop. All together, a friendly place to hang out while enjoying good coffee. read more

Candy is truly the Mocha master! This was a very pleasant stop on our way to hike at Kokee State Park. The service was efficient and very friendly. The family that was served before me also had fun with a sushi shrimp race and it was hilarious. The mocha was just right as adjusted by Candy with just the right set of questions ranging from the strength of the coffee, to the type of milk or soy. In all, it was one of the best tasting mochas I have ever had and that says a lot since comparing it across multiple countries! Just wish they were open on Sunday... as it would have been great to get another cup! read more

We happened upon aloha-n-paradise in desperate need for caffeine, Candy the owner, was incredibly welcoming and kind enough to offer us iced coffee even tho she was technically closed. The ambience was AMAZING!! She invited us to use her restroom and everywhere you look there is awesome quotes and local artwork. I stopped by here earlier today with my wife for an afternoon pick me up. Aloha-n-Paradise is an art gallery up front featuring many local artists and gorgeous paintings (but not cheap) and then has a small coffee shop in the back. I first went to the back in order to order the coffee and have to admit from the looks of it that I wasn't expecting much. However the lady behind the counter ended up being quite nice and I went with my usual order, a large Americano to which I added a splash of cream. I paid and then went to the front of the shop to peruse through the art. While looking we ended up talking to the owner about her upcoming retirement. After we left and the coffee had cooled down a bit I was finally able to try it. It actually exceeded all of my expectations as the coffee was a darker roast and was super strong and smooth. It was actually probably the strongest coffee I have had on the island. The bottom line for me is that I would stop by here again in the future. I thought that the coffee was great and that the owner was nice as well. read more

If you love paying $6 for very weak coffee and the taste of sweet syrup flavor, then this is your place. I ordered the iced coconut latte and it looked extremely watered down. Took one sip and it was very clear that they do not use espresso. Coffee mixed with milk and way too much syrup does not equal an iced latte. Very disappointed. read more

This is as good as it gets for Kauai Coffee. Not only is the espresso the best you will find on the island (yes, literally), but it is served with a genuine spirit of Aloha. This place is in Waimea, on the way to the Canyon and is the perfect stop for coffee, internet access and also art. It is an art gallery and coffee shop, so you can peruse local artists while you sip and trade stories with Candy, the owner. Hard to imagine, but this little espresso bar / art gallery in out-of-the-way Waimea is a "must" on Kauai. My highest recommendation! read more

Coffee, coffee, coffee. And tea! -- That's my stuff, man. This beautiful, cozy, perfect shop is exactly what the world needs but is especially fitting for Waimea. The owner was very attentive to my coffee (in fact I don't like to be picky at places I hadn't been to before but she asked me some of my coffee preferences and my heart was WON!) Literally 12 minutes later, I came back for a chai. I'm kind of obsessed with chai. I have a website where I blog about it. And yes, the chai here was delicious! Cash only. I'm actually kind of embarrassed that I didn't have any on me at the time because since Waimea is such a small town, you should always have cash -- but I didn't. I felt like one of those type-casted "city-slicker hot-shots" so obviously from out of town in a Lifetime movie. Stopped by a few times for my fix of latte. This little art gallery/espresso bar is located in the little town of Waimea right next to the Waimea Post office. You can't miss it if you're stopping by to see the Captain Cook monument in the heart of town. They are not known for their baked goods but they have their espresso down to a science from the special blend of coffee beans that they use to the machine and the amount of crema. Even the water that they use (ionized on site) adds to the great tasting espresso that they serve. Stop by and visit with it's proprietor Candy Baar who is also a great conversationalist with plenty of aloha. read more

If I can give this place a 6 I would! Best mocha (iced or hot)- nice refreshing stop either on your way to or back from Waimea Canyon. Candy was so gracious, warm, and hospitable. And best of all her rescue dog, Sunny, made friends easily with my kids. You have to make this a stop when you are in Waimea. Also, it is right across Ishihara Market where you can buy reasonably priced poke, fish sandwiches and other lunch items if you are on the go. read more

This place is not to be missed! The Barista/Owner (I think) is the best I have ever encountered. She personally tailors each cup of coffee to your specific preference. Never have I had a barista take the time to ensure my coffee is just right. It's also connected to an art gallery with some great stuff for sale. Just the perfect place to stop on your way to or returning from Waimea Canyon. She also recommended a great beach nearby. I so enjoyed chatting with her. Just an incredibly pleasant person.
