Tuna salad sandwich, egg salad sandwich, swinging bridge lemonade
    Ashley S.

I was craving a sandwich and Caba hit the spot. Had the tuna salad and egg salad sandwiches and they were both delicious on soft bread and piled with veggies just like I like! My daughter got the swinging bridge lemonade and I got a plantation iced tea -- both excellent. Would happily go again for fresh food from incredibly kind and fun staff. The fruit bowls were looking so good - will have to get one next time!

Such a nice little sandwich spot on the island! They use good quality ingredients, not too crazy overpriced, and just friendly staff. We had the tuna and turkey sandwiches and they were tasty! Definitely recommend!!

Such a cute spot with the yummiest lemonade! The staff was truly the best -- she explained everything so clearly and was so friendly the whole time. The drink was refreshing, delicious, and totally worth stopping for. Can't wait to come back!

Super fresh and amazing quality food. Cute little patio and food truck! Very friendly and surrounded by lots of fun shops.

BBQ meatloaf sandwich and Courtyard Lemonade

I've been twice and both times were great. Hanapepe has an Art walk Friday evenings and Caba is a great place to grab a drink and something to eat. The people are wonderful, picnic benches available and a comfortable spot to rest. The lemonade is homemade, I especially like the courtyard lemonade. This last time I had the special, BBQ meatloaf sandwich with fukiake fries - wow! All the flavors in the meatloaf, with pickles, alfalfa and sauce was spot on. The fries were perfect- just too much for me to finish! I can only visit a couple times a year, but this will be a consistent stop. Mahalo.

We found this place on our last evening in kauai and man we wish we would have found it sooner. We had a large fruit bowl and a cold brew and both were the best we had on the island our entire trip. The owners were so friendly and genuinely interested in talking to their customers. The seating area was so peaceful and a nice hangout spot for the evening.

Ling Hing Mui lemonade is AMAZING. The best service in Kaua'i!! I would come here every day if I could :)

Double shot coffee and plantation ice tea

This is the only place for coffee in this area. The other two places that's on yelp are closed down. Not a problem because the coffee is good, strong and delicious. It also comes with a sweet lady who is so nice and accommodating. We ordered a double shot and a plantation ice tea and both were excellent. It may be the only game in town for coffee but it's a good choice

    Tropical Fruit Bowl

Our food was amazing!!! It was ready quick and the service was great but the food was the star - so good!!! Loved the eating area out front - we sat at umbrella- ed picnic tables with a fun view of Hanapepe. The chicken salad sandwich was massive and loaded with veggies and the tropical fruit bowl was so delicious- and very generous. We are planning a trip back before we leave the island.

The menu on the side of the food truck.

Beautiful food truck, very pleasant picnic tables and landscaping to enjoy the food and then there is the food ! Tasty sandwiches we had the chicken salad and egg salad. Both disappeared in minutes. They came with a fresh cucumber slice and grated carrots in the sandwich. This made them refreshing as well as delectable. Try the Ling Ming Mui lemonade for a real taste treat. Ask about it to "relive" your childhood days on Kauai. This is a hidden gem.

The food was very good. She was very nice and compassionate, and she was able to explain the menu, the ambience was very nice. The atmosphere of the food truck was also very welcoming and Clean. She's also very compassionate and she chooses the best food for her customers.

    Outside of truck

Sonya is as delightful as her food is fun and delicious. We've tried all the sandwiches and it's hard to pick but we lean toward chicken salad as a fav But we made a special trip back for the "local" lemonade and if she's bit too busy ask her about the origins and her special recipe. My personal favorite is the fruit water jelly!! Fresh whipped cream and coconut! So delicious! Eating area is comfortable, clean and charming. Don't miss!

I have an Aunty who used to live in Hanapepe so it's already close to my heart. Then throw in amazing local businesses and vendors and well I'm spending hundreds of dollars to fly over from O'ahu so I don't miss the events. Most recently I flew over to say goodbye to MachineMachine, the owner Shannon was set up in a building that was repurposed from an automotive shop to a retail space. Sadly she moved to a warehouse in Lawai. So she's no longer participating in the Hanapepe Art Walk. I've read that there's a lady who sets up a Haku (head lei) table and accepts donations only. Sadly I've never been there when she's there. I noticed some of the storefronts like Little Fish were closed on this trip. I was told that other towns like Kilauea are also doing Friday events and some vendors don't want to travel to the other side of the island anymore. But I noticed an entire new retail space, that's exciting! Regardless, there's plenty to eat! Persian food, Puerto Rican, Hawaiian BBQ, Thai, and the pie stand is to die for. Make sure you come hungry! Behind the spice store there's an old bridge, make sure you check it out. Also there's an interesting space next to the post office the sign marks the pathway "Storybook", two chairs were set up on a stage. But there was no one in sight. The Friday Artwalk is definitely an adventure that I recommend to tourists and locals alike!

I don't know whether eating at the beach imporves the food experience but this was a very welcome change from the usual restaurant or fast food take outs. The Kalua pork was so tender, mouthwatering and moist, served shredded over bao buns (Chef Carla says she gets them made on Oahu), sliced onions, carrots, cabbage and cilantro with some secret sauce - it was superbs steaming hot and perfectly sized to eat at the beach. The shave ice with cream was just the right size and sweetness. Ask for as many syrups as you want to put over the whole thing. Ask for cream ( Milk) over the hwole desert/drink. It was awesome and freshly made. I could really tell the differences in the flavors of the syrups. We got comped a whole heaping serving of chili - chili with cheese, sliced up hot dogs over tortilla chips, and everything was generously covered with this. Not a single chip went without this yummy goodness. I wish I had taken their number! Look for the Yellow half-sized food truck.

The fish is incredibly fresh, the rice is perfectly seasoned, and every bite is packed with flavor. The sushi burritos are another standout -- perfectly rolled, loaded, and super satisfying if you want something quick but still high quality. Everything feels intentional and consistently good.
