I typically get the ahi tuna, the salmon and normal imitation crab with cucumber, seaweed salad, and carrots (and there are more!) with one of their sauces. Very relaxed poke spot, has some benches for seating, and they're very quick with service. Also, the Thai tea unexpectedly was a perfect color and sweetness for me. Couple of days ago, I was in line ordering a poke bowl. As I watched the customers in front of me getting their orders made, one of the workers went to the cashier to check out another customer so they could be on their way. The worker then returned to the prep area and started rolling a burrito without changing his gloves after handling the cashier. Meanwhile, the other worker (Asian) changed his gloves multiple times while preparing food. When it was my turn, I kindly asked if the Asian worker could prepare my food. This may not matter to some people, but if it's something I'm going to eat, I would prefer it to be prepared with good hygiene practices. I stopped by on Wednesday and had a pretty good experience overall. I ordered a 3-scoop bowl with spicy crab, tuna, and albacore over brown rice and salad. When I first walked in, it felt a little warm inside, which made me pause for a second since raw fish is involved. Thankfully, the fish itself tasted fresh enough and everything was solid quality. I added the haus sauce and spicy mayo, which worked really well together. The portion size was perfect. I felt full but not overly stuffed. Service was good and the place looked clean. Parking was also super easy, which is always a nice bonus. My only real downside was the price. I paid $20 for the bowl, which feels a bit high for what I would call a good but not amazing poke spot. If Yelp allowed half stars, I would give it a 3.5. It is not quite a 4 for me, but definitely better than a 3. If I am in the area, I would consider coming back, though I do have a couple spots closer to home that I would probably choose first. read more

It doesn't taste fishy at all. I got a 3 scoop bowl: 1 tuna, 1 salmon, and 1 spicy crab. My favorite was the salmon, it had a good, fatty, and delicious taste. The veggies, onions, rice, and toppings I got were good too. There's unlimited sauce combinations you can do and they have a lot of sauces you can choose from. They have handcrafted sauces they make in house. For the sauce mixture, I got chili oil, mauna loa(tastes like garlic spicy mayo w/sesame seeds), sesame oil, and spicy mayo. My favorite local poke place. Super close to my work but more importantly, the poke bowls are good. The best part is that it is a lot of food. I usually get the 3 scoop bowl with half rice half salad, and I have leftovers. I usually get salmon and ahi and have never had an issue with the freshness of the fish. Surprisingly, abstaining from poke is much harder than abstaining from sushi when you are pregnant. I've always defaulted to poke as an easy lunch option when I don't want to bring lunch to work, and man had it been hard. I finally caved, and decided to order a poke bowl from Alohaus since they offered a kid's bowl. The advantage of ordering a kid's bowl is that it only comes with 1 protein, which from a pricing standpoint makes more sense if you weren't going to pick a proper protein (like the standard fish options). I was surprised at the large portions when my order had arrived - it was practically a full size meal!! I have had Alohus Poke  marked for a while. Finally, I stopped by to try it. It is located next to Sprout Farmers Market and Marshalls. The parking lot is huge, there is no problem to find a parking spot easily. The restaurant itself is spacious and has both indoor and outdoor seating. It looked clean and has comfortable ambience. Their menu includes 3 scoops poki bowl, 5 scoop poki bowl, poki burritos (3 or 5 scoops),Veggie bowl, and kids bowl. They also have Hawaiian shaved ice and many drinks. I ordered 3 scoop of protein for me and 5 scoop for my husband. I had up to 8 toppings to choose from which was more than enough. They have various choices for the protein as well as for the toppings. I ordered half rice & half salad for the base.The amount was huge, the seafood was fresh and flavorful. It was greasy and they have great sides as well.as sauces choices, I picked Haus dressing, Yum! The prep area is clean , staff wears clean plastic gloves on every encounter. The only complaint that I have, is that I came around 8 and they close at 8:30pm and the worker behind the counter didn't look happy to be there and was kinda mean. They are very careful in putting the poke bowls together. The avocado topping is included but it's $2.50 extra for the crab or spicy crab ( a small scoop) if you don't want to include it as a protein choice. There is a large variety of toppings, including pineapple and bean sprouts. Also a pick of choice of three sauces from a large variety. The Ohana sauce is like a sweet chili sauce with a little extra something. I prefer my protein not mixed with the sauce, so they oblige by packaging them into little dipping containers. Perfect. This Poke restaurant also has Hawaiian shaved ice with a three choices of sweet syrups for $5.00. This will be great for a hot summer. read more

The employee serving me gave me the smallest portion I've ever received here. I've always gotten generous servings in the past, and this time had to ask for two more scoops to get enough protein. It's clear this employee needs better training. I hope management addresses this issue because this isn't the kind of service I expect from a place I've been loyal to. Come early, ideally before the lunch rush! Plus, all the rice and fish are fresh. We enjoyed our poke bowls on our first visit. My mom and I made the mistake of coming in another day after 3 PM, and we found the white rice to be dry and not hot -- in fact, it was lukewarm at best. Steamed white rice needs to be kept warm in the rice cooker. The staff also lacked some items we wanted, like avocado. When I asked if they had more, a female employee said no, they ran out. Hmm, so you don't have avocados in stock? Or were you just too lazy to slice open another avocado? The dining room was also full of dirty, unbussed tables. It was just us dining in and we had to look for the least dirtiest table to sit at. They had very few customers calling in or coming in to place food. So why weren't the two workers behind the bar coming out to bus and clean the tables?? It seemed like they didn't care. They hid out in the kitchen instead and only came out if there was a customer. Also, they ran out of water cups which we had to ask for. If I were Management, I'd come in to watch how these employees work. It's not just about building poke bowls for customers, but also restocking up on depleted items, and keeping the entire dining establishment CLEAN. We are dealing with raw fish here ... With so many other poke shops around, why risk losing out to the competition by having a less than sanitary dining space?? I'd think twice before coming here now ... read more
