I've waited awhile to post this review because I wanted to be sure all my documentation was in order. My Ac unit went out and we had received a flyer or text about a discounted service inspection so I thought great! Let's get the ac checked out. A service tech came out said there was a leak in the line. They said we can have you blowing cold air today. We asked repeatedly "will it be "repaired". With the assurance of it "will be blowing cold air tonight". They also stated in order to fix the AC they needed to clean the ducts. We really did not want our ducts cleaned but they were insistent that they needed to clean the ducts, for the AC to work properly and the price they charged to clean and fix the issue was $5437. They injected a type of flex seal into the line to seal a tiny leak and recharged our cooling system as well as cleaned the ducts. AC worked great for 3 days and then it started short cycling and would not blow anymore. I called and they came out and they told us we needed a new unit and the price would be roughly $20,000. Then they stated that the pressures were off due to the fact that the duct was crushed. Yes you read that correctly they cleaned crushed ducts on an AC unit that wasn't working. Of course at the time they did not tell us that our ac ducts were crushed they did not share that info with us until they came back to look at the AC because it wasn't working. They refused to troubleshoot the system that they broke and insisted we needed a new unit, a unit that had been working fine previously. I was very adamant that there was no issues with the system other than the leak and that the repair they had done something that had to impact the working of the AC and that I did not need a new unit. They refused to troubleshoot the system that they broke. Did they break it yes. I called multiple AC repair companies to come out and look at the unit they all told me the same thing that I needed a new system. I finally found an independent contractor that came out and actually listened to the problem he diagnosed it within minutes he took pressure readings and the input was double the pressure that the output should have been, not to mention that there was DOUBLE the amount of coolant in the system that there should have been, to him he said that indicated that there was a clog in the line and he was 99% certain that it was a valve. He said he was going to take our non-working unit apart I said that was fine it doesn't work anyways LOL. So he took the line apart, took out the valve in sure enough that was the issue it was clogged. He replaced the TXV (valve) and our ac has been working fine since then. So there you have it service all stars came out broke our system charged us $5,500 including cleaning ducts that were crushed (we won't mention that they are the dryer vent type ducts that everyone recommends not to clean) and then refused to diagnose the system that they broke so if you want to use these guys I just want to give you a fair warning. read more

The technician Manny came out looked at my A/C unit outside. He then came in my house put a tool to my a/c vent in my living room and proceeded to tell me it is not blowing any air. (Which we already knew)He spent more time complaining about how hot it was. Which we already knew hence calling them for assistance. He did not check anything else. He proceeded to say his diagnosis is that there is a leak. Could not tell us where the leak was and that it would cost $1,272.00 to locate and fix the leak! I called another company they came out and actually spent some time. They went in the addict and found a loose wire. $200.00 for service call diagnosis and repairs! My two-sided wall furnace has been having repeat but unpredictable issues where the furnace randomly doesn't turn on. For their second follow-up visit within a month, Dominic came out. He was very knowledgeable and patient, even when we couldn't get the furnace to demonstrate the problem in front of him. He even left and came back with a new idea of moving the thermostat closer to the heater in case there was a wiring issue that wasn't visible or detectable during his inspection. Called to service floor heater that wasn't turning on. Guy came looked over unit and looked unsure as to why it wasn't turning on. Did a little trouble shooting with someone on the phone went back and forth to truck searching for something and coming back empty. Finally after 1hour 45 minutes, 30 minutes of which were spent standing in back of his truck, he came back in and vacuumed dust particles from unit then said, ok it's fixed and it'll be $400. After he got paid , he left. We tried to turn it on, NOT working! We called them back, same guy showed up and now he says he can't fix it cause doesn't have the parts needed and also, those parts cost a bit so we're looking at about $1200 to get the heater fixed. When we asked why he'd said it was fixed the first go around, he did not offer any explanation. We asked for a partial refund of $200 for the dust particles cleaning and he said he'd talk to his supervisor. All we heard back was that they offer financing for the $1200 fix. They shamelessly stole $400 to vacuum some dust off floor heater. They falsely said it was fixed and then surprisingly said it needed parts after we'd already paid them. They are deceitful and dishonest. read more

Service All Stars did a good job installing our water heater. It was an outdoor water heater and so they also installed an outdoor metal shed, which was also installed well. The water heater also passed City inspection the first time. We also asked them to make a tweak to the condensation line, which they did without an extra charge. The reason we are only giving a two-star review is because Service All Stars took way to long to provide us with the third-party rebate for the specific type of water heater that we had installed. The rebate was sent to Service All Stars, who was supposed to forward it immediately to the homeowner (me) who had the water heater installed. Service All Stars did eventually forward us the rebate, but only after I wasted a lot time reminding them countless times over several months to send it to me. They also used a photo of our house on their website without our permission. They did eventually take it down, but only after many reminders over several months. read more

Abraham came to our house to provide a quote for replacing our HVAC system. After receiving more than 10 quotes, his quote was more than double the next highest bid we received. Abraham told me he could match the other quotes we received if I sent him the quotes. He then scheduled a call with his boss. Sal, Abraham's boss, was incredibly rude on the phone and put down the other companies we got quotes from, saying none of them could beat the service and install quality of Service All-Stars, and that was why they charged more than double. He said the other companies would be out of business soon, and would install the HVAC system improperly. Out of all the companies we got quotes from, Service All-Stars was the only company that said anything derogatory about the other companies. After 5 minutes of listening to Sal berate these other companies, he hung up on me. I was shocked that he could be so aggressive. Beware of dealing with this company. read more

Update: Service All Stars called in and very quickly helped resolve the issue. There was a miscommunication between the techs so I got overcharged for a bit, but they were very prompt in refunding the 89 dollars. I'd recommend these guys for sure! The work completed was great; on time and very professionally done. My issue though is with the transparency on the billing process. The cost for coming out and looking into an issue is 89 dollars, and that cost is supposed to go towards the repair if you choose to use service all stars for the repair. In my case, I learned that the cost of repair quoted is ON TOP OF the inspection fee, so in reality, the inspection fee does not go towards the repair. When I saw the cost of repair for my unit was 575 on the day the inspector came out, he let me know the 89 goes towards that. I was unhappy to see that the next day, the technician charged my the full 575, saying the cost is actually 664 with the 89 discounted. I think service all stars can do better to be more transparent about pricing. Otherwise I have no complaints about the service itself. read more

Thank you Josue for fixing our issue! Another company installed a split unit in our home in Aug 2022, but in April 2023 large amounts of water was leaking from the unit. Called that company out to fix it, but last weekend (Aug) the unit began to leak again. Josue explained the potential issues that could cause the leakage and drainage back up. I had a terrible experience with this company. I have a very old AC that stopped working and I called Service All Stars for maintenance. I asked if there is any way to put a bandaid on my AC to make it last a little longer, I would appreciate it. They ended up doing a pressure test and said it was off the charts bad. Well, duh, I already told them from the beginning that my system is very old and I knew I needed to replace it. I didn't call them because I thought my HVAC system had pressure issues. I called them because my AC wasn't blowing cold air even though it was working fine a few days before. The technician said the manager would know what to do when the pressure is beyond the maximum pressure and because he knows what he's doing, he would be coming soon. Sal, the owner, shows up and the entire time he was here, all he was doing was pushing me to buy a very expensive system, on the spot. He was pushy and even though I told him multiple times I wasn't ready to buy that day, he was relentless, which I didn't appreciate. To make things worse, they looked at my ducts and said they all need to be replaced, which of course was an additional charge. Sal also thought he was being complimentary when he made comments about my kitchen, my car, and my clothes (access to the attic is in my closet) but all I felt was violated. I think all they saw were the dollar signs when I told them my system was decades old and I wanted to see if it could be fixed. They ended up wasting an hour and a half of my time that I will not get back. They say there is a great warranty on the system but it's in the fine print that the only way to get that maintenance is to pay an annual fee. My gut told me I couldn't trust these guys and the hard sell was the nail in the coffin. I ended up getting another estimate and their price was much better and they told me I didn't have to change the ducts if I didn't want to, but I needed to be aware that the system wouldn't be working at its optimum capacity, which I said was fine. Even if Service All Stars had the lowest price, I still wouldn't' hire them. I don't like pushy sales men that pressure me into spending my hard-earned money and try to take advantage of me because I'm female. read more

our AC was not working & leaking badly, which was very unfortunate timing seeing as the weather is unbearably hot! i called & was able to schedule a technician to come in later that same day. Jose, the technician, was very helpful & drained all of the water from the system. he explained what needed to be done clearly & simply. he also let us know that the previous person we hired to fix the AC merely put a bandaid on the issue, making the leaking worse there was an $89 diagnostic fee. the next day, 2 different employees--Cesar & Norbin--came at 8AM to fix the unit & install the new parts. they did a great job & now our home is nice & cool! the whole ordeal came out to $3,900, which isn't a small price, but worth it for working AC. thanks guys! read more

NOTHING BUT PROBLEMS!!! first off none of this review will be exaggerated like some people do on here . I had a new AC Unit installed last year and I am not joking I have had service all stars out more then 10 times within the past year to fix the work the unit installed within the past year !!! Here are the issues we have had in 1 YEAR with the AC unit .. 1) it was literally doing a loud knocking noise that they couldn't figure out until I personally called the manufacturer to fix , even when I showed them audio of the issue . 2) the unit was triggering a emergency shut off valve. 3)The straw that broke the camels back is I literally had them out 3 weeks ago for a power issue on my thermostat and I wake up this morning and it is doing the same exact thing . The main problem is there is no boss to talk too at all . You can talk to a field supervisor or the dispatch manager but that is it. I will be contacting the better business bureau over this since I would say I have been patient enough over these issue Update .... Now I am dealing with the same issues regarding plumbing with this company . Don't ask me why I rehired the same company .. read more
