Bought holster on 2-4-22 did not like the way it fit. Came into the business on 2-6-22 to return it and was told even with receipt it couldn't be returned. They have a policy that it must be able to be put back on the shelf. I had everything except the plastic package it came in unaware of this policy. Everywhere else a receipt is all you need but not here. Buyers beware it is in small print on their website. Who checks for return policy on a website prior to making a purchase. All sales are basically final since people rarely keep the original packaging. Needless to say they lost a customer over a $53.91 cent holster. read more

I am usually in support of all veteran owned businesses and was more than happy to support this business even though it was located 36 miles away from me. It also helped to know that they were offering a great price on some pre-order 9mm ammo. Being how ammo is these days I wanted to take advantage of the ammo availability even if I had to wait 2 weeks. I contacted the stores general manager to ensure availability, pricing, and finally placed my order. I was surprised two weeks later when I arrived at the store that they charged an additional surcharge of $10 per box of ammo (I ordered 10). This was something that was not listed, displayed, or otherwise mentioned in any communication, invoice, and or the add. They told me that I had the option to return my order at a $10 per box restocking fee if I was not okay with this purchase. I spoke with the General Manager (Scott) and was told I have 2 options: return my purchase and pay a $100 restock fee or pay the $100 surcharge and complete my purchase. I was also informed and to no surprise of mine, that I was not the only customer to express their anger and disagreement with the additional fee's. There shouldn't be a company or store that takes advantage of their customer this way - hidden cost, up charging, or exploiting their customers is unethical business practice and just down right wrong. You should be ashamed of calling yourself a veteran owned company then exploiting your veteran customer base by adding hidden cost to their purchase without informing them. Please if you are thinking of purchasing anything from this company do your homework first, as they are perform questionable business practices. I was even offered a 5% discount on any future store purchase. I for one will not give any future business to anyone who tries to exploit their customers. read more

Had a pretty bad experience in here wouldn't recommend it. Not a lot of variety handgun wise and rude staff, I decided to take my business elsewhere because one worker wanted to act condescending and shitty towards me. Typical Psuedo Tough guy idiot that acts hard because he plays army man dress up. I was willing to drop a substantial amount of money in there this evening but the entire exchange soured my experience and turned me away from ever spending a cent in there. What a mess. This place has no idea how to maintain a queue of customers, or set expectations. If you need ammo, don't waste your time. They allowed everyone in at once, no sense of order was kept. People were attempting to hoard ammo as soon as they got in the store. Maybe next time you send out an email saying you have ammo, be smarter about setting a limit, ask your customers to follow mask guidelines, and set some (any) type of expectations. If you expect people to act like adults just because they're old enough to purchase ammo, you are giving the general population too much credit. Won't be back, and I'm definitely not upset about that. I am shopping for my first hand gun. Only have limited knowledge and experience. So sometimes it is hard going into shops. You try not to sound like an idiot but you want to learn as much as possible. This shop is a mile from my house. So I went in hoping for a good experience because I love shopping local with local owners. I was totally happy with my experience. They let me look without hovering. Then when I wanted they were quick to help. The lady listened to my needs and quickly told me what she personally thought but never gave me the hard sell. Horrible experience. I took a risk to check out a new local shop after being loyal to two other shops in the area. I wanted to support a veteran owned shop to show thanks for their service. Well the Service I received was not so good and they promised one thing and do not stick to their words for a refund of funds I put down on a firearm, no matter what was signed you should not have promised a refund. I used to work part time in a gun store and this place is much more friendly than where I worked. I've been here a few times. Always a friendly and knowledgeable staff. I've never been pressured or told to buy one brand over another. Good selection of firearms for the store size and they are willing to order anything for you. The store has some of everything in it and if you don't see want you want just ask. The web site is a great tool, easy to use. Black Rifle coffee is stocked and I've seen more than a few people come in and just pick up coffee. Sometimes they will have trips to the range, manufacture reps in the store and CCW classes. I went to this store not knowing anything about firearms, but I knew the color and potential brand I wanted. They didn't have the color but they did show me a POF AR15 that was from a awesome patriotic local company and made of great quality materials. I went there on a Saturday, but didn't make my mind up till Monday of being ready to pull the trigger on the purchase. They were not pushy and very patient. I heard information from various staff members. They were working as a team, which is good! They showed me different accessories that were available, but gave me an honest opinion of getting to know your gun first, then purchase later. I am going to be going back this weekend to get a firearm for my husband and potentially a concealed one for me. Have been shopping there for years. Awesome customer service. Even with my teenage daughter who had questions from guns to equipment. My wife loves BRC and it's the only local place to get it . Some minor hiccups with the website and consignment, but they always take care of it. My wife trains service dogs (many for veterans) and loves bringing the dogs in for training. A little over a year ago I bought a 38 +p revolver and a box of ammo from them. I didn't shoot the gun I just kept it in a place in the event of an emergency. I've shot plenty of revolvers so I had no need to shoot this one. It is just an emergency gun. Well I went to load it a couple weeks back and found that they had sold me 38 +p auto bullets. So I had been believing I had a gun to protect me and my family, but I had the wrong bullets. I know it is over a year later but I have a box of ammo that I bought with a NEW gun that can't work. Imagine if I needed it to defend my family? I thought I could just go down to the store with my receipt and exchange it for the right stuff. Nope, they wouldn't do it. Guess there is not much demand for 38 auto ammo. Honestly, imagine if an event occurred where I needed this gun? Bottom line (and I reiterate), I bought a brand new gun with a box of bullets and they gave me the wrong bullets. To make matters worse, 38 caliber is the most common bullet on the planet. How could they get that wrong? How professional and how trustworthy is that? If I owned that store I would have made this right. It would have been the responsible and professional thing to do. Four hours ago I purchased a Cobra 9mm derringer, which I took immediately home and, per the instructions in the box, googled Cobrapistol.net and read the operating manual. But try as I might, I could not cock the hammer, so I returned to the store. At first the clerk couldn't either. Then another clerk was finally able to and, though I informed him that the manual specifically states not to dry fire it, he did. Then after several tries--when he was finally able to cock it himself, the first clerk did the same thing. And when I told him that this blatant disreguard of the manual should enable me to apply the price of the derringer to the price of a different weapon, he said "no" that his position as a sales clerk made it O.K. Then he informed me that, for safely reasons, all derringer are near impossible to cock. I can't prove that his isn't true, nor can I disprove that he's entitled to ignore the weapons operating manual. But Cobra Pistols who I've contacted can read more
