I've been coming to Alpha Tint for almost 15 years to have the windows tinted in all my cars and trucks for the quality of the job and VERY competitive prices. Yong is a one-man operation with low overhead so he can beat ANY price of other businesses. Recently, I noticed the film on my huge rear window was bubbling from using the rear window defroster over the last EIGHT years...yes, the window film was done in 2015. Yong removed the old tint and installed new film under his Life Time warranty and charged only $35 for the service. Prior to returning to Alpha Tint, I tried a few others like Rhino Films and Detailing in HB and was quoted $95/hr for tint removal and over $200 for new film. I didn't get a final quote because I didn't think they would do the job for less than $300. Alpha Tint was a no-brainer to do the job. This shop was referred to us and let me tell you this small shop doesn't disappoint. We've taken our 2023 Highlander in for side and rear windows in the ceramic tint about 6 months ago. I called and made an appointment which I suggest everyone do in advance. On the day of I realized it was one guy doing all the work and he was really no nonsense about it. I had to have my tint removed first and he quoted me 3 hours for the work. But it really was more 1.5 hours total for 3 windows. I was pleasantly surprised by his efficiency and pricing! I've called around a few places for quotes and this was the best price point. Don't expect any glitter and glam here. It is a old garage and their waiting room really only had magazines from 2-5 years ago for entertainment. But the work is honest and professional. I came in around 11:30 am after I called for a spontaneous time to get my tint done, the owner explained well over the phone 190 cash will work for all 5 windows, but then explained theirs tax if u use credit/debit card so I just pulled out cash and left him with 200$ because he went beyond to even clean in/out of my windows & he even cleaned all my door panels with some chemical and almost got it all good, it looked like he left it like how I came in. He's very honest and reliable, this will be my 4th car I've taken to him & he does great work, even though he smokes he's careful with doing it when my doors are open! Absolutely wonderful job tinting the windows in my new 2021 Lexus sedan. I called in the morning and made an appointment for the same day.It took about 1.5 hours from start to finish, only cost $165 which I feel is very reasonable, and the result is beautiful. The tint color (#2) is perfect for me and there are no bubbles, scrapes, or noticeable imperfections. I received several compliments on the windows over the next few days. I had some difficulty finding the shop - it's a small two car garage next to several other garages so look closely for the red alpha tint sign. There are only two dedicated parking spots and a small strip in front of the shop that is shared with the garage. I recommend getting a ride to do something during the process as there is only a small room to sit in with a couch. The couch is comfy but the TV was not on and the magazines are older. The owner, Mr. Yong, was pleasant on the phone. He smokes cigarettes and there is a faint odor around the facility. But, for me, this does not lower the score because I wanted my windows tinted and don't care about the amenities of the shop. I recommend alpha tint and will be returning with all of my vehicles. Remember do not roll your windows down for two days. It would be a shame to damage wonderful work. read more

For a walk-in you most likely will be better off dropping it off than wasting your time waiting around (since he may have appointments or other cars prior to work on). It only cost $165 to tint my Honda Civic - great price and great quality. The -1 star is that he does smoke so your car may smell like cigarettes and you can't roll your windows down for 2-3 days. My nose is sensitive so it was a bit bothersome. A trip to the store getting an air fresher was helpful. read more

Update: They will not redo your tints if there are dust particles / bubbles on the windshield. A previous Tint shop, if you weren't happy with the tints due to bubbles caused by debris such dusts or fiber, they will redo the tints for you. Also, my front windshield is CLOUDY under direct sunlight. See pics. ----------------------- They quoted me an unbelievable price compared to all the other shops. They are very busy and it took me a while to get my car to them to work on. I finally got my car in on Saturday afternoon. They quoted me over the phone for dirt cheap. I went by the shop and they honored the price even though they had to do 7 windows instead of 5 since my rear windows were partitioned. It was around 3pm when I got there and I decided to add my front windshield. So the initial 2 hours of labor was now 4 hours. I asked them again, are you sure you can do this today? They said yes. So I left them my car and didn't hear from them until 8:15pm. I felt bad they had to work longer hours on the weekend. They were still nice about it gave a brief info on the tints and not to do anything to it for 2 days. I only had an extra $10 so I gave it to them. If I had more, I would have tipped them more. Nice guys, they to great work. Car wasn't messy and no scratches on any of my car interiors. Just a few drips of water on the doors and door panels. No biggie. I do see some bubbling on some of the tints and will give it a week or so. If it's still there, they better fix it! Oh, and they didn't tell me the front were illegal until after they did it. haha whatever read more

This shop is not one of those laser cut crap. These guys mastered the Old School way. They use Johnson window tint film. Most of the cars and trucks are priced from $120-$150 not the cheapest but it's worth it.
