I used to regularly come here for my sandwich fix when I lived in T.O. But since moving to Ventura, I hadn't been back. Was so happy to be in the area today when they were open. I got my favorite sandwich, which they now call "Vicken's Super Club" aka roast beef, cheddar, avocado. I always get it on a croissant as well. $15 out the door with the .75 cent upgrade for the croissant. A little on the pricier side but with how good it is, it is worth it. Everything was as fresh and delicious as I remember and they were generous with the avocado - truly cannot think of a single thing that would have improved it. I so wish I lived closer so I could enjoy this sandwich more often! The owner, as always, is very friendly and welcoming. So many cool imported european products to look at, mostly sweets and chocolates. Big selection of chips too to go with your sandwich. They also had some fresh baked pastries like a poppy seed coffee cake that looked good. Highly recommended!

Stopped by for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. Ordered the Andy's Club - turkey, bacon, avocado and swiss. All the ingredients were fresh and flavorful, especially enjoyed the bread. The service was wonderful, will definitely be back!

NY deli special (Pastrami on Rye with lettuce, onion , tomatoes , mayo and mustard)

I really like this place, I know it's been here a long time, but it's one of those local places I overlooked until one day I decided I was just craving a solid and straight forward sandwich which is surprisingly hard to find out here. The individual who manages the deli is very nice. This time I got the NY deli special sandwich which includes pastrami on the and I had everything on it. The pastrami is really good quality and we've found that each time we've visited the quality of the food is always better than you'd expect from a small deli. They also have various items and drink options you can try. I do think it's cash only, so grab a good amount of cash. A half sandwich is probably about $10 and a full sandwich is about $15 depending on what you get. Definitely a nice place to grab a sandwich for lunch or to bring on a picnic.

Great sandwiches, mushroom barley soup was made from scratch and had so many mushrooms.

This place is pretty unassuming and tucked into a strip mall. When you walk in you'll see a selection of various goods from the alpine region like desserts, beers, and dry goods. There are also a few small tables right at the entrance and then at the back is the counter to order. We've been here twice and honestly after the first time we knew this was gonna be our go to sandwich spot. The older gentleman taking our order is super friendly and offers his recommendation. Try the specialty sandwiches, they are the best.

They have their meats imported from Germany and Italian brands. They're very friendly and attentive, and the roast beef is the BEST! Even though all the sandwiches are amazing. Their service is excellent.

We called ahead to put our names in. Big location, lots of seating. It gets loud and busy. Easy parking in a lot out front. We were a group of 12 and they amazingly were ok with splitting up our bills per couple. My bf and I split Brent's #13 (pastrami) and the Italian sub. Both come with sides - we got potato salad, fries, and onion rings. The portions are massive. The pastrami was really good and there was a nice amount of pastrami in the sandwich. Pickles and coleslaw come in the sandwich too. I'd say it's probably not great to save it as leftovers as the bread will likely soak up the liquid from the coleslaw. The steak fries were good. The Italian sub was huge! Hard to eat because the sandwich is stacked so tall. I added some Dijon mustard to the sandwich which was a nice addition and it was pretty good but I liked the pastrami more. I didn't actually love the onion rings that much. The breading they come in is really grainy and I didn't find them that tasty. Portions are huge so pace yourself; in hindsight we probably should have gotten one sandwich and maybe one smaller item. We both were in serious food comas all day after this meal. You pay up at the front when your waiter gives you the bill, right across from where they store epically large looking treats like massive slices of cake, cannolis, and cookies. They're fun to look at!

If you were having a special occasion, we would go to three or more different places to order the catering. I consider myself, not an expert but a decent judge of authentic Italian food. This is the spot I choose for meat lasagna and for their meatballs. I haven't tried anything else yet. We ordered their meat lasagna for a birthday party. We picked it up on Saturday afternoon at 3PM exactly when they said it would be ready. They wrote the directions on top of the cover and we followed them exactly as written. The lasagna was so good that our guests were all pleased. Many asked where we got it. I was proud to tell them I'd made the right choice by going the extra mile to Italia deli. We had 20 guests, everyone had a piece and some of our friends took a couple pieces home. We still had leftovers to put in the freezer. The staff is friendly and accommodating. It's located in the small to medium size outside shopping plaza in Downtown Agoura and right next to the elementary school and high-school. The same owner has been serving customers for years and is always a delight to talk to. My boyfriend and I came here the other day to grab lunch to-go and bring it to the beach to eat. We ordered and it didn't take too long to get our food, as I also peeked next door at the consignment store. They did pack it a little different than I thought they would, putting both sandwiches that we ordered into one aluminum tray with the fries on top, but that's alright. That being said, we ordered two sandwiches, some fries, and drinks (they have cold or room temperature). The chicken burrata with pesto is always my go-to and is so good! It has a classic taste that never gets old, and the flavors in the ingredients all mesh well together. My boyfriend got the Prosciutto Panini and he said he really enjoyed that one, too! *One note is that a good amount of years ago, the owner used to make his own teas and juices for customers; they were always so fun to try. If you're a local and you haven't been yet, what are you waiting for? I'd recommend going for lunch. If you're visiting the area, it's also worth stopping by since Agoura doesn't have many of their own small businesses and restaurants (especially affordable ones that are good.)
