I used to regularly come here for my sandwich fix when I lived in T.O. But since moving to Ventura, I hadn't been back. Was so happy to be in the area today when they were open. I got my favorite sandwich, which they now call "Vicken's Super Club" aka roast beef, cheddar, avocado. I always get it on a croissant as well. $15 out the door with the .75 cent upgrade for the croissant. A little on the pricier side but with how good it is, it is worth it. Everything was as fresh and delicious as I remember and they were generous with the avocado - truly cannot think of a single thing that would have improved it. I so wish I lived closer so I could enjoy this sandwich more often! The owner, as always, is very friendly and welcoming. So many cool imported european products to look at, mostly sweets and chocolates. Big selection of chips too to go with your sandwich. They also had some fresh baked pastries like a poppy seed coffee cake that looked good. Highly recommended!

Stopped by for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. Ordered the Andy's Club - turkey, bacon, avocado and swiss. All the ingredients were fresh and flavorful, especially enjoyed the bread. The service was wonderful, will definitely be back!

NY deli special (Pastrami on Rye with lettuce, onion , tomatoes , mayo and mustard)

I really like this place, I know it's been here a long time, but it's one of those local places I overlooked until one day I decided I was just craving a solid and straight forward sandwich which is surprisingly hard to find out here. The individual who manages the deli is very nice. This time I got the NY deli special sandwich which includes pastrami on the and I had everything on it. The pastrami is really good quality and we've found that each time we've visited the quality of the food is always better than you'd expect from a small deli. They also have various items and drink options you can try. I do think it's cash only, so grab a good amount of cash. A half sandwich is probably about $10 and a full sandwich is about $15 depending on what you get. Definitely a nice place to grab a sandwich for lunch or to bring on a picnic.

Great sandwiches, mushroom barley soup was made from scratch and had so many mushrooms.

This place is pretty unassuming and tucked into a strip mall. When you walk in you'll see a selection of various goods from the alpine region like desserts, beers, and dry goods. There are also a few small tables right at the entrance and then at the back is the counter to order. We've been here twice and honestly after the first time we knew this was gonna be our go to sandwich spot. The older gentleman taking our order is super friendly and offers his recommendation. Try the specialty sandwiches, they are the best.

They have their meats imported from Germany and Italian brands. They're very friendly and attentive, and the roast beef is the BEST! Even though all the sandwiches are amazing. Their service is excellent.

I found parking easily since I came in the morning and the place wasn't busy. When I walked inside, they have the liqor on the left side of the store. The produce area is right at the entrance. I walked to the deli area on the right side of the market but I didn't see any pre packaged food. So I walked toward the back where the meat was and I didn't find anything there either. My mom purchased a cabbage and, after bringing it home, discovered that it was rotten all the way to the core. Only a day had passed since the purchase, so she returned to the market with both the spoiled cabbage and her receipt, expecting to receive a refund and purchase a replacement. Instead, she was asked to wait for nearly 30 minutes while an employee reviewed CCTV footage to verify that she had purchased the cabbage.. even though she had already provided her receipt. After reviewing the footage, the employee accused her of using part of the cabbage because it appeared smaller than the one shown on camera. My mom explained that she had removed the outer layers to determine whether the rot extended to the center, which it did. Logically.. why would she use a spoiled cabbage?! Despite this explanation, the employee refused to believe her and denied the refund. What should have been a simple and straightforward customer service issue became an unnecessarily rude and humiliating experience. After years of shopping here, we are extremely disappointed by how she was treated. Because of this experience, we will no longer be returning as customers.

It's big, bright, clean, and well‑stocked, with great produce, meat and fish, sushi, sandwiches, a deli counter, and plenty more. The staff has always been friendly and helpful, and one thing I really appreciate is how attentive the deli team is -- no standing there being ignored, which is a pet peeve of mine elsewhere. My only real complaint is the pricing. I know groceries are expensive everywhere, but I still find myself walking the aisles thinking, "Are these people crazy?" Some items, like $2.99 for a gallon of water, feel way out of line. On the plus side, checkout lines move quickly, and there's usually someone available to bag your groceries. Overall, a reliable store with great service, just held back by the high prices.

Where's the shark?…read more That's the first thing I think every time I walk into this Trader Joe's. For years, the store hosted a game for kids by hiding a toy shark, along with several other stuffed animals, somewhere in the aisles or on top of a refrigerator. Children who found the shark won a small prize. My kids were always excited to search for it. I secretly wanted to join the hunt myself, but unfortunately, there were no prizes for adults--except for some tasty samples, which my kids enjoyed just as much as the shark game. The shark and the food samples may have been the main attraction for my family, but this neighborhood store has everything else covered. Whether you need fresh produce, milk, frozen meals, or one of Trader Joe's seasonal favorites, the shelves are consistently well stocked. The store is clean, thoughtfully decorated throughout the year, and staffed by friendly employees who can quickly track down that elusive sauce or your favorite snack. More recently, Trader Joe's reusable tote bags have developed a cult following, especially overseas. The Wall Street Journal even covered their worldwide popularity. New bag designs often sell out within days, with some appearing on eBay for several times their original price. Whether your kids want to hunt for the hidden shark, you're stopping in for dinner ingredients, or you're hoping to score the latest collectible tote bag, this Trader Joe's offers a shopping experience that's a little more fun than your average grocery store.
