Whenever we're up at our cabin, a trip to The Alpine Grill is practically tradition. The food is always solid--ranging from good to why-did-I-order-anything-else-last-time levels of excellent. The menu is impressively deep for a small-town, family-owned spot--think juicy prime rib one night and fresh seafood the next. Now, fair warning: service can move at a mountain pace--so settle in, order a drink, and enjoy the chance to actually talk to the people you came with. (Remember conversation? It's making a comeback.) Pro tip: make reservations. This place fills up fast, and even the bar seats are usually spoken for. But once you're in, it's the kind of cozy, welcoming local gem that keeps you coming back--every single trip.

My sister and my friend Cristen took me to the Alpine for dinner. Honestly some of the best food I've ever eaten. For real !!! I had calamari, which I was SURE I wasn't gonna like, The only thing wrong with it was that I wanted more!! I ordered the French Onion Soup, the Onion Soup bowl and Coconut Shrimp . I saved the sauce in a little container so I could dip my veggies into it!!! I've been wanting to try the Chocolate Chip Cannoli for YEARS, and they were absolutely amazing !!

My second time here. Absolutely love this place. Atmosphere is very nostalgic and the bar is great. Bartender was super cool. Food is amazing and the portions are huge. Service is incredible. Highly recommend.

The food is some of the best I have ever had! The NY strip and scallops are to die for! The service was fast and friendly. And the rustic feel of the place is true Adirondacks! I will most certainly be returning!

Smack dab in the middle of nowhere. Open Thursday through Sunday and Wednesday's in July and August. You will be pleasantly surprised on how well the food is cooked. Lots of good comfort foods, excellent seafood and Generous cuts steaks. This trip I started with a buffalo shrimp appetizer, salad with homemade horseradish dressing and a broiled seafood player that had large portions of fish, shrimp, scallops and clams. The rest of my table had a pork schnitzel and steaks. Give it a try

Excellent meal, service and atmosphere. Worth the drive! We will be returning every trip we make to the adirondacks.

We had 7:30 PM reservations on a Thursday and were seated immediately. The atmosphere wasn't quite my style. The tile flooring felt a bit busy, and the seating is very simple with hard-back chairs. I think the space could benefit from a few cozier touches to match the quality of the food. That said, it was bustling and vibrant. The beverage program was great. We enjoyed a bottle of Pinot Noir, and I was impressed by the beer selection, which featured a lot of local breweries rather than the typical mainstream options. For starters, the French onion dip was phenomenal and is an absolute must-order. The Parker rolls were also highly recommended by our server and lived up to the hype. The bread is incredibly fluffy with just a hint of sweetness. For dinner, I had the crab spaghetti with squid ink, which was delicious and loaded with lump crab. It does have a briny, seafood-forward flavor, so it's best suited for those who enjoy that profile. The burger was a hit with the men at the table, although my fiancé wasn't a huge fan of the wood-fired ketchup, which has a distinct smoky flavor. We also tried the mushroom lasagna. Despite the name, it's not traditional lasagna noodles layered with mushrooms. Instead, mushrooms act as the layers. It wasn't what we expected, but it was still excellent. Overall, the food and service were outstanding, and I'd highly recommend Seneca. A few tweaks to the atmosphere could make it even better, but the quality coming out of that kitchen makes it a standout dining spot in Saratoga.

Upon walking in the host and servers were super nice and we were seated promptly. The space itself is super nice! Not crowded at all but definitely means you should make a reservation as they are super popular! Food was amazing! DO NOT MISS THE ROLLS! I'd come back just for the rolls, they were so soft, fluffy, and light with the perfect flaky salt on top to balance with the whipped honey butter. Delicious! Everything else was also great, the hanger steak is also tender and loved the hash that came with it and the crab spaghetti had ample crab meat in it. Presentation was gorgeous. Love the seasonal menus and you really can't go wrong with anything here. We skipped out on dessert but I'm sure there's great options too. Highly recommend and hope to be back!

We arrived at opening on a Thursday evening and had the place to ourselves. The table we were sat at overlooking the gardens was gorgeous. The service was a little awkward as the server was training someone who was new, but they were very friendly and accommodating. We started with some bourbon cocktails that were just alright. I would say, they don't have the best cocktails. I ordered a gin dirty martini with stuffed olives and I think they just gave me straight gin in a glass with olives. Maybe stick to wine or beer! We were greeted with some nice fresh bread and we then ordered the very popular candied bacon. It was very thick, sweet and savory. Worth trying for sure, I enjoyed it. For dinner we opted for the 3 pound cowboy to share. I had asked what came with the steaks and they said smashed potatoes and green beans, and hyped up the smashed. When served, we got French fries, so this was just a miscommunication because I guess the special came with fries. I asked for a side of potatoes as well cause at this point I wanted to try them. The steak was gorgeous and perfectly cooked, and massive. We shared and had plenty of leftovers. Overall, I would suggest checking this place out. I think some miscommunication may have effected my experience, but the food and ambiance makes this a great destination for a romantic dinner.

My better half had a Cosmopolitan, which she enjoyed. Started with the charcuterie board (You choose a total of five meats and cheeses). For cheese we selected Burrata (cream filled mozzarella), Drunken Goat (goat / red wine dipped) and Parmigiano (cow / the real thing). The meats were Serrano Ham (dry cured Spanish ham) and Speck Ham (dry cured and lightly smoked Italian ham). OMG. Delicious. And the portions were on the hearty size. For a main I had the Mussels (garlic, butter, white wine, chili and fennel pollen). Another OMG. It was divine, and we had bread to soak up that wonderful sauce. We also had the Lobster Pizza (lobster, tomato cream, spinach, leeks, roasted cherry tomatoes, ricotta and grana padano). This was only ok. Not enough lobster, in my opinion. Overall, a very good meal before the concert.

The remaining slices were essentially on the darker side of well-done, almost burnt ends. For a restaurant positioned as an upscale dining destination on Broadway in Saratoga Springs, I expected much better. The quality of the steak was more in line with what I'd expect from a chain like Applebee's than a higher-end establishment. The service started out excellent, but unfortunately declined as the meal went on. By the end of the evening, we felt largely forgotten.
