I was pleasantly surprised by the Alpine. I found the room exceptionally clean with above standard amenities (fridge and microwave). The office was stocked extra early pastries, cereal, coffee, juice and fresh fruit to accommodate people participating in the Disney Marathon. They have a night security guard walking the grounds to provide some peace of mind. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Check in was smooth and fast. At first sight, the room is pretty, it's perfectly located near Disneyland that you can walk there l, and the customer service is nice. However, there are some downsides that cannot be overlooked and have room to be improved on. When you take a shower, the water did not stay the same temperature the whole time. The plumbing is a bit iffy. It managed to clog just on water. Overall, these things could have been overlooked if it was not for the cockroach I found on the wall the second night. This was a great little find in a WAY over priced city! I stayed here for vacation and for a conference, and it was the perfect location for both work and play. It's a quick 15 minute walk to the entrance of the Disneyland parks and Downtown Disney, which was super convenient. In fact, the hotel actually backs up to Cars Land and the Tower of Terror in California Adventure, so don't be surprised if you hear screaming all day! You can also definitely hear (and see) the fireworks from Disney at night. For work, it was also really great. Free WiFi, free breakfast, and a quick 5-7 minute walk to the convention center. There was also a Coffee Bean really close by, as well as a huge Walgreens and CVS to get all the essentials you need. Will definitely stay again when back in Anaheim for work! read more

Alpine Inn is a great place to stay!! The hotel rooms are standard while having everything you need with the nice tv, microwave, and fridge. I brought all my food from home and was able to not spend any money while at Disneyland thanks to those amenities!! The front desk was always available and beyond kind. Kevin made my experience one to remember! I was original deciding between Alpine Inn and other affordable motels, but once I called Alpine and talked to Kevin my decision was final. It is reasonably priced, clean, the staff is kind, there is always enough parking, and you can often hear people enjoying the cars ride from the bathroom window while you shower. Last November, our house was threatening by the wild fire. The schools were closed down. We found Alpine Inn and stayed there for 4 days. It's a cute little hotel and very close to Disneyland. We just walk to Disney parking and catch the tram. The room is great. I love the granite counter-top, in room Microwave oven, and refrigerator. Kids enjoyed the free Wifi. Its was okay. Small motel, 10 minute walk to Disneyland. Not the cleanest as our socks were dirty on the bottom after on walking around the hotel room a short amount of time. But definitely not grossly dirty. Love the location. The breakfast was just a few packaged pastries, fruit, and boxed cereal. I really like this hotel it was about a 10-minute walk to Disneyland there was a 7-Eleven close-by and a lot of other stores that you could use close by within walking distance the parking was free and had a basic breakfast included with Dry Cereal and muffins it had a pool that was heated and it was nice for a late-night swim no hot tub but the pool made up for that it is located right behind the cars ride. The rooms were small and basic but the beds were very comfortable I slept like a baby the towels were thin but you get a fresh set every day it had everything you needed in the room my only complaint was that the microwave didn't work I should have said something the first day but I didn't other than that it's an excellent stay and I would recommend if you don't mind just having basics. We called it the Bates Motel and even referred to it as the motel from No Country for Old Men, but for six days and five nights, it was home. Ok, mostly clean but there was a high amount of sketchiness. The shower had a cloth curtain but no liner (ick). The towel holder broke. The sink was outside the bathroom, meaning you had to do your business and touch the doorknob to go out so you could then wash your hands (double ick). The beds to our chagrin resembled slabs of concrete. And we were told they were queen-sized beds (ha, fooled ya, these are full-sized!). Granted, we were not here for true comfort but for affordability and proximity. Keeping that in mind, I still expected a little better. Heck, Motel 6 would have been better. Still, I do think the people who work here are good at customer service. The front desk person actually held our luggage for us the day we left until our ride picked us up an hour or so later. For the money, it's just okay but I think we will try a different hotel/motel/holiday inn the next time we hit up the 'heim. read more

Also I was charged an extra $70 in taxes after paying in advance for the room. Although the inside of the room was clean. Unfortunately that was the only positive. Main area of hotel room is really nice! Super clean sheets, nice bed and comfy pillows. But the bad comes just around the corner. The bathroom looked like a penitentiary. Gray tiles with a diamond pattern embossed on them like metal you would find in an auto garage. The grout was black in places with mold. The walls were white. Pure white. No pictures, no color at all to distract. The tub/shower is also plastic, so it flexes when you get in and out. And we're not big people. Then the hairdryer in the room was cracked and covered in mold. Mold. On the hairdryer. And the fridge didn't work, so all our leftovers spoiled while we were at Disneyland. So, I guess it's a place to sleep. Didn't really add to our vacation. Oh, and there's 34 units and 31 parking spots, so be prepared to fight for a parking spot. read more

The Alpine Inn is passable, but is not an "Inn" as most people would imagine. It's a motel, and a slightly seedy one at that. The rooms are okay. They weren't particularly memorable, but weren't dirty. The facilities were all in working order and nothing more. It was bare bones without being poor quality. read more

The breakfast was not substantial, but it was convenient to grab something on our way out in the mornings. The Alpine is just an OK motel, it's not dirty and close to Disney Land, but other than that it's nothing special. The reason I'm giving 1 star is because the customer service is awful! The sheets in the bed looked dirty and I called to have them changed- although they eventually changed them, they were rude about it and it took forever!! Will never stay here again! I haven't stayed here in years, but this is for my experience at that time. Hopefully it's been remodeled since. It is a smaller hotel with very little to offer. But if you're just looking for a place to sleep and nothing else, it's perfect. Very close to Disneyland. Part of California Adventure Park is in the backyard. I remember it as feeling cheap and a tad uncomfortable. Parking was a nightmare. Hard to find a place, super hard to maneuver around. When I stayed it was $39 a night lol. My only complaint really is they failed to mention they were going to put a hold on my card for the amount of the room plus another $50 deposit. I love the Alpine Inn - we always stay here when we visit Disneyland. It's a very short walk to the Disneyland main entrance - about 5 - 10 minutes; it's right around the corner. It's only only a little bit longer to go to Downtown Disney (if you walk around the block in the opposite direction). The rooms are modest, but always very clean. Included is a mini-refridgerator and microwave, which is very helpful if you're looking to bring your own food (as we often do to save money). Water pressure is fairly good in the shower. We've never tried the continental breakfast or pool, so I can't comment there - but there is a 7/11 right down the street where I always get coffee and snacks. For the (very low) price, we've never been disappointed - and in this price range, it is an excellent hotel. The hotel is located directly behind the new Cars Land in California Adventure - you can see the Cadillac Range directly overhead. Noise has never been an issue. I have no complaints about the hotel. The staff has always been professional and very helpful. If I'm looking for something bad to say - I wish the rooms included a clothes iron, and the parking lot is a little tight. But overall, I would definitely recommend the Alpine Inn. read more

First off, consider that you get what you pay for. This is a small motel that's on the same block as Disneyland. It's close, clean and convenient. For the price of the rooms, it's out-freaking-standing. Any review that nitpicks this place obviously has never stayed at truly terrible hotels. I love this place and would recommend it to anyone. I hit the parks about once a month, and come down from the bay area. When staying around the park there's 3 things you need to keep in mind. 1. Cost: A lot of places rates fluctuate a lot, Alpine is consistent and often one of the cheapest places to stay. Don't just take into account room rates, also consider that parking is free. This also plays into the next consideration. 2. Proximity to park. Alpine is literally behind DCA. It's within walking distance to the entrance, and you don't have to cross any streets. There's a 7-11 enroute to the park so you can stop for a quick snack or drink to take with you. 3. Bang for Buck: Alpine isn't fancy, but it does the job. It's also worth noting that it's one of the few hotels in the area that has never had bedbugs. My rooms have always been clean, and look at what you're getting. I've stayed at the Grand Californian, but you pay a premium for that (sometimes $500/night) whereas Alpine is $80/night and does the job. The guys at the front desk are always really nice and they remember you. For breakfast there's usually an assortment of donuts, granola bars, fruit, juices and cereal. This is handy when you're attending conventions at the convention center (which is right across the street), just grab and go. I've stayed here about 10-15 times. Highlights: Another nice thing is that they don't require a Credit Card if you don't have one. You can use your debit card and they'll put a hold on your card for $50 (don't quote me, but I'm pretty sure that's the amount). Parking is free and if you walk to the parks from the hotel you just saved yourself $16 (unless you're an AP holder) Grab some granola bars and fruit to have that parks, save some cash. Full size showers and bathrooms. There's a 3 bed room, it's technically a room with a queen attached to a room with two queens for large families. Call to ask about rates. The first time i stayed here was almost 20 years ago before disney california existed. I decided to stay here b/c of its proximity to the parks and the price. While researching prices they were comparable to others but they had better reviews. Let me begin this is a your basic no frills motels with comfy beds,cable flat screen tv and microwave and fridge which comes in handy to use when you have kids. Most of the time is spent in the parks and we came back to pass out from exhaustion. The front desk clerks Kevin, Derrick and the evening guy who i didn't get his name SORRY were all very nice and helpful. This is your 3 star motel with 5 star service.they have a free breakfast of muffins, cereal, oatmeal, yougurt,gronola bar, danish, oj, coffee,tea, milk. There is a CVS,7/11 and in 2016 a walgreens. There is ihop if you want a heartier breakfast. I had a wonderful stay i felt safe though there are some homeless people on the corner not attached or near the property. I remember first going to this little inn when I was a little girl on a family vacation and I loved it. As a young adult when I wanted to visit Disneyland and on a budget, this is my go-to. Now, as an adult, my husband and I stay here. I've taken some trips with friends and stayed here and even they've liked this inn. The people working the counter are friendly. We usually drive to Anaheim from the bay area and so we let them know if we would arrive and check-in after midnight and the habe no problem with it.After spending a day at the park, we didn't wake up early enough to check out at 11am. Called and asked if we could check out at noon and it was no issue. And free parking which is great. The price is nothing to complain about. I'm always on a budget. And if you plan on staying at the parks all day and only use the inn to sleep, this is perfect. The beds are great, the bathroom is always clean, and there is a small refrigerator and microwave, plus free wi-fi. Only a 15 minute walk from the park and a 7-11 down the block. I stayed here for about a week while attending a conference. I decided to stay here rather than the Hilton or Marriott, because even with the conference discount, the Alpine Inn was literally half the price of any other hotel!! First of all, yes people this is a motel. That's why they charge $65 bucks a night. This is not a luxury experience, so don't be all shocked and shaken when you don't have a jacuzzi in your room. The best thing about the Alpine Inn is the excellent location. It is literally across the street from the Anaheim Conference Center, so it worked out perfectly for me. It is also within a stone's throw of Disneyland, so close that you can actually hear the delighted screams of Disney guests when you open your door! You also have a clear view of the nightly Disney fireworks, which was pretty cool! If you want to actually go to Disney (which I did), it's a mere 10-minute walk to the entrance. There is a 7-11 basically next door, which was a huge convenience... especially since all rooms at the Alpine Inn have a fridge and a microwave. A huge money-saver when it came to dinner! Finally, the Anaheim Garden Walk (kind of an outdoor mall, with several restaurants, stores, and a movie theater) is less than a half mile away, so it's easy to go out for a nice meal. The Alpine Inn was immaculately clean and very comfortable. They had a good range of cable TV channels, including HBO. Again, this is not a luxury hotel so I wasn't expecting a fancy room. There was a heated pool outside, but it was located in the parking lot, so it was kinda awkward. However, it appeared to be very clean. The customer service was fine. They weren't especially friendly (I don't think I saw them smile a single time!), but they were definitely helpful and efficient. Check in and check out took about one minute. Very easy! The Alpine Inn "is what it is" in that it's a budget friendly hotel close to the park. You're not staying at the Grand Californian and it's apparent. I have always stayed here because there is a gate literally next door that is a shortcut to the park. I wanted to warn others who stayed here for the same reason that THE GATE IS NO LONGER OPEN!!! Now, I am sure they don't want to advertise this because of people like me who stayed here solely for that reason. I was really bummed a couple weeks ago when I showed up here only to find the gate closed. Listen, it's a cheap hotel with kitschy charm (the fake snow on the roof is something the kids have always loved). The front desk staff is REALLY nice, though they did try to charge me 3 times for our first night. The young man working there is especially nice - I think his name was Nate or Nat. They have a free breakfast that most hotels at this level wouldn't even offer. It has cereal, milk, yogurt, oatmeal and packaged muffins so it's nice to grab some stuff on the way to the park and save yourself some breakfast dollars. We had the 2 queen bed room and it's small. The beds are creaky but not as bad as some I've experienced at this price point. The shower is decent with good water pressure, which you want after spending the day at Disney and coming home sore and grimy. They provide a lot of room to hang and fold your clothes. We also had a mini-fridge (great for filling with stuff from the 7-11 next door), a microwave, and iron and ironing board and blow dryer. The wifi is free but SLOOOOOOOOW. The pool is very small, but clean and refreshing especially as we were dealing with almost 100 degree weather while we were there. Long story short: if you're looking for a budget hotel near Disney, it's decent but be aware that the handy shortcut gate to Disney right next door is NO LONGER OPEN. If you're looking for something within closer walking distance now, you'd be better off staying at one of the hotels on Harbor Blvd. right across the street from the Disney entrance. But, the staff here is friendly, the price is right and it's still relatively close. If they had their own shuttle to the park, it would make up for the lack of shortcut. The Anaheim shuttle stops right outside but it's $5 per adult and if you have more than 3 people, it's cheaper to park at Disney ($18). read more

I stayed here with my boyfriend during Valentine's Day weekend to go to Disneyland. This place is okay at best. The absolute best thing about it is the location, about a 12 minute walk to Disneyland is so convenient, also the free parking really is nice! A small nice touch is having a fridge and microwave in the hotel. Other than that, I probably wouldn't stay here again unless all the other hotels were booked. It's kind of affordable but a little pricey for the bed being so uncomfortable. Also, I requested days before to have a room on the second floor and they told me they reserved a room for me. When we checked in around midnight after coming back from Disneyland, they gave us a room on the ground floor and because it was so late, everything was full. That was irritating, just don't honor requests if you cannot make it happen. The rooms are outdated and they definitely need new mattresses. Also, the walls are paper thin, you can hear EVERYTHING from upstairs and outside, not the most relaxing way to wake up. Staying here one night is all I can tolerate. read more

First time staying here and I've had a wonderful experience for 3 nights (in a deluxe double room). Aside of the walking distance location for our Disneyland trip, nearby restaurants and shops, and free(!!!) parking, the front desk receptionists were also very nice and helpful. There was complimentary breakfast from 7:30 AM - 9 AM everyday of our stay (first come first serve). It was packaged muffins, pastries, coffee, and juice. I'm picky about my food... but hey, it's free! I never tried using the free WiFi service as I only have a mobile phone and don't own a laptop, so I can't comment on how the reception/speed was for that. Bedroom/TV area: They updated their interior (exactly like the website, not like the photos on Yelp). It is small, but we only needed a place to sleep since we'd be out majority of our time so that didn't matter. The bed sheets smelled clean. The room didn't have any kind of odd or bad scent (that would make my sensitive allergy nose comment about). The bed itself was a bit on the firm side. No overly dusty areas from what I've seen in the areas I needed access to. The TV was just a regular TV... a bit fuzzy on some of the higher channels, but no biggie since we hardly used it. The AC wasn't great, but it did it's justice since it was super hot when my family and I were there. Whoever sleeps on the farthest bed from the AC won't really feel it as much as compared to the people that sleep right next to it. There are plenty of drawers to put your belongings in should you need to unpack them. The only real downside about the bedroom/TV area itself was the carpet, it's pretty filthy. Not so much with stains (I don't think I remember seeing any) but more so just when you walk around on it (socks or barefoot... I'm originally from Hawaii, so I'm use to walking barefoot inside of a room). Just be prepared to have some dirty brown socks/feet! That problem was quickly solved by using slippers/shoes walking around in the room though. Bathroom/Open Closet/Sink area: There was a mini fridge with a tinyyyy compartment for frozen items (you could probably only fit in 1 TV dinner). The closet hangers provided didn't seem like it was enough for my mom and myself, (I think there was only 8 - 10 hangers) being the only 2 women out of 4 guests staying, but I'm sure you could request more. Toilets only needed 1 flush. The bath towels weren't too thin. I must say the soap was crappy though. I had a hard time trying to spread out the soap from my wash cloth to my body, so I had to keep using more and more soap, haha. I never used the shampoo/conditioner as I had brought my own. The only real issue we had was that we thought our shower or toilet was leaking... though I think it may have been that our shower curtain wasn't fully closing to the side between the shower itself and our toilet. We didn't let the inn know, since we just placed a shave gel bottle on top of the closed shower curtain in the corner to make sure it stayed closed and it seemed to have worked. Besides the carpet, soap, and our shower curtain... there was really no *real* issues (in my opinion) for us to say that this place deserved less than 5 stars. We had a easy time finding parking, but it should be noted that we stayed from Wednesday - Sunday. By the time it was Friday - Saturday, the lot was really packed compared to how it was when we first arrived. All the other guests in the surrounding rooms weren't noisy either, the check-in process was fast, and it was one of the cheaper places to pay for in the surrounding area (I had done a lot of research before choosing this). If I ever come back to the area, I'd definitely use this place again. :) read more

This place is a gem. The rates were great & include free parking for one car. The beds & pillows are very nice & comfortable, equal to a higher priced name brand hotel. The large LG flat screen TV was a pleasant surprise. I was in town for an event at the Anaheim Convention Center & the location was perfect! Less than a few minutes to walk there. I also walked to Downtown Disney. It took 20 minutes along a palm tree lined sidewalk. There are signs clearly marking where to go. It was delightful. The staff were all friendly & pleasant. The free continental breakfast was simple, but satisfying. Cold cereal, fresh fruit, packaged muffins, cereal bars & hot drinks were available. By no means are my family and I the fancy type, we have 2 kids, so no. So any trip to Disneyland requires major planning and hotel research. In past trips we've stayed at other hotels, but this time decided to try out Alpine Inn. We were sold with the price, under $100/night, free parking, free fridge, free microwave, free wi-fi, free cribs and FREE BREAKFAST. Now before you get all excited, like I said we're not fancy so our standards aren't so high. All my kids want and love for breakfast is cereal and pastries. Mom and dad just need coffee. They have plenty of both. You get cereal, milk, orange juice, donuts, danishes, fresh fruits and some prepackaged fruit bars (definitely take at least 5 for the park lol!). Yeah, they probably bought it at Walmart but who cares. It's free and does the job. On to the staff, they're amazing. I'm upset I didn't get their names, the night worker was hilarious when we checked in. Definitely made us forget about that 8 hour drive. The morning staff was awesome too, I want to say his name was Derrick? Anytime something ran out for breakfast, he was more than happy to refill it. We had to print out our park tickets, but their public computer (there's a charge to use it) wasn't working. He offered to print them out for me on their private business computer for free, what an awesome guy. The reason for the 4 stars? The carpets are FILTHY. Like absolutely disgusting! DIS. GUS. TING. We hadn't been there for 5 minutes and my son's white socks were black! Our bare feet looked like we had walked all over Disneyland barefoot! We kept our slippers on the whole time. SO. GROSS. But I mean once you get over that, there isn't much else to complain about. Overall, yes I'd recommend this place and yes we'll stay here again (with our slippers on). It's about a 15 minute walk to Disneyland, CVS and 7-11 are next door/across the street, plenty of restaurants nearby (*ahem*Roscoes*ahem*), and all the free amenities you could ask for. Honestly the best place to stay in! I had originally booked at best western a couple blocks down but I saw this inn was closer and cheaper and had one slot left so I booked right away. I was skeptical at first because for its location alone (about 7 minute walk from Disney) it should have been overpriced and was worried it was priced low for a reason. That was not the case, it was a simple room for a 3 night stay and the front desk helped with all our questions and even some extra stuff, the location is a bit tucked away on Katella Ave which gave us a small sense of security. The cleaning ladies did a wonderful job of cleaning up (we are so thankful) after our long days and with us being 2 adults 3 children in a 2 queen room. The pool was warm and clean and gated. Only warning if you stay for long make sure to find a coin laundry nearby as laundry service is 35$ per bag! read more
