Customer service for the most part is excellent. Staff are very knowledgeable and friendly. Not quite the selection that Denizens of the Deep (former occupant) had, but it is growing. You may find cheaper supplies at PetCo, but this place is worth a few extra pennies, by far.

I shopped, loading 22 rawhide chews and 6 cans of dog food into the basket and bought a 22lb bag of kibble. When approaching the register, the cashier put the bag of kibble on the counter, then placed the basket on top of the bag. She then took the rawhide chews out of the basket to count them. When she finished, she put the rawhide chews back in the basket ( shopping bag? ). I cashed out. The cashier asked if I would like help carrying out the bag of kibble. I said, "Sure.". She then stood there. I got the message that she was not going to load the grocery bag with the items in the basket. I reached for the grocery bag and proceeded to load my items, one by one, into the bag as she watched. When all were loaded, she removed the basket from atop the bag of kibble, reached for the bag of kibble when I then said, "I'll get it." Before when I needed to get a harness i have a dog who has some dog aggression issues and they brought stuff out to me so i could try it on her and figure out what would work since she could not come into their store. Friendly dogs ARE welcome in the store. Since covid started they have offered curbside and delivery service. Although their store is open again to the public, masks are required. for those who can't get to the store or dont want to wear a mask the option of curbside is very nice! You just call in your order and pre-pay and then you can call when you get there to pick up if you are doing curb side and they will bring it out to your car for you. I have definitely appreciated this service and have utilized it since covid started. When i have been in, in the past, in person, they always offer to carry my purchases out to the car for me. Usually i decline as i can do it myself but its nice they offer that. The store is small but they have plenty of stock and variety of dog and cat stuff. They do even have a small fish section. Went to purchase Just Food For Dogs frozen food our dog, as we are traveling and this is the only location that we can purchase the food. When I notified an older white make employee named Mark, he was indifferent about the expired food, calling me a liar before arguing it's simply a best by date. The food expired 5 months ago. When I followed up with a manager, a young white female who stated her name was Jordan, she gave me a nasty attitude, dismissing my concerns about the food and how Mark handled the situation, stating she wasn't there so she didn't really know what happened but that I should have a good day. She was snarky, short and quite rude. Neither Mark or Jordan thanked me for informing them they had at least a dozen expired frozen packets of JFFD on their shelf, just nasty attitudes and dismissiveness over the seriousness. It should be noted, a local friend picked up two packets of JFFD for us the day prior and told us she had noted the expired food. The staff is not checking product and not removing expired product.
