Very responsive, came to my house the next day. Quick, fast, sturdy, affordable, what more could I ask for.

I had 3 windows vandalized, so I contacted them to get 3 windows replacements. The technician brought only 2/3 of the replacements. Not that big of a problem, except for the fact I live 20-minutes outside of their service area, even though their map on Yelp shows the city of Santa Cruz is within the perimeters. The thing that irked me the most was the fact that the tech wouldn't go out of his way to solve the issue of replacing the final window that he forgot! I had to reschedule another appointment and a drive 40-minute roundtrip to Los Gatos to finish the repairs. Other than the problems I had with their tech, they offer a good price and accepts credit cards (hard to a business in the auto industry fits both those categories). read more

Al's provided great, speedy service! There was a mishap when scheduling my appointment, the date & time was lost on their end. However when the day came & they didn't show up at the scheduled time, I called them, they admitted they had written my information down incorrectly. But instead of pushing me to the next day or later that day, they moved their appointments around and came straight to. They were there within 45 minutes of making my call (about an hour after my original appt.) and the windshield was replaced ASAP. Very kind humans, great customer service, and quality work! My truck was broken into twice through the small window of my pickup truck. I never use that window and finally decided to do something about the thievery. They have been targeting easy vehicles like mine so now I have a motion sensor alarm equipped and called Al's auto glass to replace my back window. The window was leaking water before the break ins so I was able to kill two birds with one stone by calling Al's. They were able to do a same day appointment at my house and finished within 45 minutes. I had my sunroof randomly shatter while driving and the BMW dealership quoted me $700 for new glass and $1700 for labor!! I couldn't afford such an insanely high price at the dealer so I called up a few auto glass places and none could do sunroof glass. Got my windshield crack fixed last Saturday by AI. Professional service and very good deal. It's not a small crack. Another shop said they can't fix it but just replace the whole windshield. AI said he could repair it after I sent him the picture of the crack. He did repair it and it looks better than my expectation (He said it's also better than what he expected...lol). They were quick to respond over the weekend. I got an appointment quickly and the technician arrived at my place at the end of the time frame they gave me (they said 10-11am, he showed up at 11). The repair took about an hour. He asked me to check the window, it worked (power window, passenger door). A few days later I realized that the window/lock panel wasn't put back properly and is just hanging on the door, only secured by its wiring. The door can no longer be locked or unlocked by its switch or using the power locks. I should've just gone and paid twice a much at the dealership to have the job done right. Unfortunately a couple of days ago a rock flew up off the highway and struck my windshield resulting in a chip. The chip fit under a quarter and was reparable so I decided to go on Yelp and I found Al's. The business had 5 stars and I decided to give them a try. I contacted them through Yelp and was given a quote and setup an appointment on the same day. The chip was repaired in about 15 minutes and comes with a lifetime warranty. Hopefully it doesn't spread but if it does atleast I know Al's has me covered! My only complaint is the technician was a bit late but no big deal. read more
