Chocolate chip pancakes

Great food! Excellent service! I love the old school vibe as well as the staff. If you want a delicious classic breakfast that reminds you of your childhood this is the spot!

I was drawn in by the nostalgic feel. Owner is friendly. Prices are not my cheap for the atmosphere, portion size and quality of food. Overall, I would have done better going to 4 chairs next door.

Al's Super Cafe is a no frills old school diner. They have historic art, the red tables and black&white tiles are so classic. The big thing that stood out to me here was the top notch service! They guy who served us was so warm, welcoming, and the food came out timely and hot. We enjoyed a cup of coffee and I got the biscuits and gravy. Wow the portion was huge!! The potatoes were crispy, the eggs were a little greasy for me, but again, the perfect diner food!! I barely could finish the meal, it was hardy, seasoned well. Some may say the perfect hangover food. The biscuits were soft, gravy was dense, delicious. The prices were really good too. I seriously recommend stopping by for breakfast/brunch/lunch!

Corned Beef Hash & Eggs and a Blueberry Pancake on the side

This was my third time here at Al's Super Cafe. Larry is the man! Super patient and takes his time to give every customer equal attention. I ordered the corned beef hash for breakfast. They also have a nice lunch menu as well! I treated myself to a blueberry pancake on the side. Definitely was a nice balance. Everything was made to order and the corned beef, hash brown, and eggs were flavorful and hit the spot. I always enjoy the conversations with Larry, he has so many stories! One of my favorite things there is their house made chili oil sauce! Incredible! So much seating inside and at the counter. I also admire the vintage photos on the wall. A real old school feel. Looking forward to my next visit!

Great old school diner! Corned beef hash hit the spot. Pancake combo was a hit with my boy. So good!

This is a nice breakfast find for myself! All the portions were perfect and fairly priced. This isn't as good for breakfast as other diners but it definitely hits when you're starving in the morning! The corned beef hash and potatoes were cooked to perfection, it was crispy and soft! My wife loved their fluffiness of their pancakes but a little bit of vanilla would go a long way. Finally, the omelette was delicious and has everything you'd expect and not over cooked.

On my visit to Al's Super Cafe on Mission for breakfast, I had a great experience. The cozy ambiance and friendly staff made me feel welcome. The omelettes and corn beef hash with eggs stood out - they were flavorful and perfectly cooked. Despite a bit of a wait during busy times, the delicious dishes made it worthwhile. If you're looking for a delightful breakfast, Al's Super Cafe is worth considering for their tasty omelettes and corn beef hash with eggs. Plus points for the tasty house made breakfast salsa

Tex Mex Potatoes
Jamie Z.

Local neighborhood Cafe shop with an extensive breakfast and lunch menu, plenty of seating and reasonable prices ($10-15 avg. meal per person). The people who run this place are really sweet. I got sidetracked with my order forgoing my usual egg scrambles for a tex mex potatos with a side of sunnyside up eggs. It wasn't heavily seasoned. Could have benefitted from doing roasted potatoes or something that gave the potatoes a bit more crispy texture rather than slicing it like potatoes au gratin. Great service, even better fresh squeezed orange juice.

Food we ordered: - Tom yum omelette w/ shrimp - Thai tea French toast - Drunken noodles w/ chicken -- the noodles they used are not the typical noodles I'm used to but it was filled with flavor with a kick of spice. - Tom yum noodle soup w/ crispy chicken -- my favorite dish!! The crispy chicken was recommended by the server and it truly did not disappoint. The chicken was crisp and juicy and the noodles were cooked perfectly. For drinks we got the Thai iced tea, butterfly lychee fizz, and the coconut milk latte. I got the Thai ice tea less sweet and it was perfect for me ( I usually don't like it super sweet). The butterfly lychee fizz was very refreshing (could be less sweet for me) and the coffee was also very good! Would definitely recommend checking this place out if you're in the area or looking for brunch food that isn't your typical American brunch!

In my opinion Lapisara ranks in the middle due to the other excellent options available. Seated immediately--had a reso but on a Wednesday morning not really necessary. It took a long time for the single employee to get to us but we weren't in a hurry. Cappuccino was very good in a cute "bear mug" and very reasonably priced. We shared a pacific omlet--not much crab, lots of shrimp, and nice swiss cheese/scallions but tasted kind of fishy--potatoes were only avg. Son said huevos rancheros were average. Price point good for SF and portions adequate to share. Location convenient so we will try dinner there tonight before a comedy show nearby. Dinner-5++ stars; 4 of us Had dinner last night-6pm-reso but not needed. only one other group dining. Single Waitress was great-we let her know we needed to leave in about an hour for a show and she timed everything perfectly--we even had time for dessert. we ordered so many items that she brought over an extra table--we shared everything family style. Most Yelp reviews only mention brunch but the dinner was awesome--service; food: taste/quality, presentation, portions, prices we phenomenally low for SF ($200 with a bottle of wine for 4 people). We started with the garlic butter clams-small but tasty. Tuna tartar was excellent quality and enough to share. Samosas were more like empanadas--very good with peanut sauce so good it rivaled my own home made. We continued our culinary adventure with crab fried rice-delicious, a large portion and my son who lives in SF and has tried dozens of crab fried rice ranked it in the top tier. The pacific catch rice noodles with crab was also excellent-big portion, lots of crab, tasty. Final entree was their specialty-Mussaman Curry. Wow, tender meat/potatoe "stew" with a very unique flavor from the star anise/cinnamon and peanut--to die for. Creme Brulee was very good with lots of fresh fruit accompaniment My only complaint was a very limited wine selection. Lapisaia will become one of our regular spots for dinner!!!

I wouldn't call it spicy at all. The omelette felt small for the price and there wasn't much filling inside. It came with a side of potatoes that were really good. They had a nice crisp on the outside and were soft on the inside. I also got a regular coffee, and they do unlimited refills. The place was busy for brunch, and I liked the bear theme. Some of the coffees came in bear-shaped glasses, and some of the lattes had a decorative bear made out of ice.

The residential setting is part of the appeal - you can actually spread out, and it's a lovely area to wander while you wait for a table (and you will wait, so plan for it). Sitting outside on that peaceful corner watching the neighborhood wake up is a charming experience. Only downside of dining al fresco: a fly landed on my sausage. But credit to the staff - the waiter noticed and brought out a fresh plate without me even having to ask. That kind of attentive service goes a long way. The food lives up to the hype. The lemon ricotta pancakes are the star for good reason. They were light, fluffy, and not too sweet.
