My 3 month old got tested positive for Covid every other ER/Urgent care told me they couldn't see her/ test her. they were ready to see her the same day with literally a 10 min wait. Dr. Elias was by far one of the most unprofessional and disrespectful doctors I have ever encountered. [[HIGHLIGHT]]When my husband and I were new parents, we took our daughter to his office, eager to learn and make informed decisions about her care -- including vaccines. Instead of offering guidance or understanding, he refused to provide care altogether and dismissed us simply for asking questions.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Fast-forward two years later -- after the birth of my son -- Dr. Elias happened to be the on-call doctor at the hospital. Unfortunately, nothing had changed. He was cold, dismissive, and completely lacking in empathy. When I first started coming here in 2020 the quality of service was great. In the years since it has gone down hill. They're always behind schedule and over booked. I arrived for at 4:15 for my 4:30 appointment and there was 5 patients before us still to be seen. It seems like we never get seen in a timely manner anymore. The lobby is a mismatched random collection of furniture and chairs. The books are torn, missing pages and falling apart. This place used to be good. Within the last two years this medical office offered a 5 dollar Starbucks gift card if you left them a five star review with proof. After that, this place got way too busy. They're always about 30 minutes behind, even for just a shot. [[HIGHLIGHT]]one of the girl that gives shots, she's a short older Hispanic girl, is absolutely rude and will just stab your baby or toddler.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Be prepared for your kid to leave that place screaming. As a previous post mentioned, Dr Rani is HUGE on pushing shots, and his favorite line for pushing a hep B shot (which is an STD) is if your kid gets a haircut and they get cut, hep b could be transferred. Think about that for a minute, first off, if you got to a barber that doesn't follow proper sanitation procedures, that's on you. But really.. you think a toddler is getting a bald fade with a straight razor? This isn't the 80's anymore. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I'm sure he's getting a kick back for pushing shots but you'll see him try to belittle you as a parent if you go against medical advice.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Anyways, come next open enrollment, I'll be switching insurance and not coming back here. DO NOT circumcise your son here. Terrible job literally still looks uncircumcised and looks like the stitches were made to far towards the tip so even when you pull skin back all the way you still can't see crown of the head. I had a couple bad experiences with previous pediatricians. I found Alta Loma Pediatrics on Yelp, and saw all the great reviews so I decided to start brining my boys here. I have not been disappointed at all. There is always staff available to answer the phone, and phone calls are always returned. so i changed both my son's pediatrician to Dr. Rani Elias . despite the distance ( 30 min drive ) and traffic. on the first appt. : *the front desk is not welcoming. *waiting room small ,but kid friendly . ( activity box & books ) *patient rooms are clean *no trash for diaper changes *the (female doctor) was very helpful, resourceful, patient, supportive and just very understanding to both of my sons needs. * dr. rani elias was supportive of ( the females doctors) notes and referrals, all he did was go over what they needed and that was it. Dr. Elias and his staff are wonderful! We appreciate that he and his staff aren't pushy and always ask if "it's okay" or if the guardian approves rather than saying "no your must!" As some doctors can be. As a new Mom the thought of finding a pediatrician you can trust with your child can be pretty overwhelming. My sister in law recommended Dr. Elias after my son was born but the nurses and Doctors at the NICU at San Antonio Hospital recommended him the day my son was born. We have no regrets either. When my son had a bit of a cold and going through his teething stages I had many questions. I would make a call and his office would call me right back to discuss and answer all my questions right away. He assured me that all the things my son was going through were normal, and it will pass and gave me tips and suggestions to help ease my baby. He and his staff are gentle, polite and respectful. My son just turned two and has been misdiagnosed twice since being with this office. The first mistake was an ear infection, I mentioned that he was tugging at his ear and was stuffed up but the pediatrician said it was a common cold. I took him to urgent care and they double checked his ears and lo and behold, my mommy gut was right! The second was a viral infection, I took him in on Tuesday because I noticed a white spot on his tonsils, had a fever, super congested, and smelly breath. I was sent home with Tylenol and ibuprofen. Scheduled a follow up on Friday and they finally prescribed me me with an antibiotic.. turns out he has strep throat. A bacterial infection- not a viral infection.. Super frustrating to say the least. Definitely not letting there be a third misdiagnosis!! read more

I brought my one month old daughter here because of all the recommendations I got on Dr. Elias! Dr. Elias is so gentle and kind with our newborn. The team is also very welcoming and helpful. We were concerned about our baby's jaundice levels and Dr. Elias not only gave us reassurance that she was okay, he also put a rush on her blood work and called us later in the evening to officially confirm that everything was okay. Dr Rani Elias is the 4th pediatrician my kids have had as others just weren't the right fit for our family. My kids have been seen by him for over a year now and out of the 4 pediatricians my daughter has seen with me he's the only one that noticed her heart murmur... my kids are adopted through foster care, my husband and I are on Kaiser which he absolutely love but I still go to Alta Loma pediatrics over Kaiser for them because of Dr Rani Elias, he makes sure you get all your questions answered and you can tell he genuinely listens and cares about your concerns when other drs just brush things off as mom anxiety....
