This is in Portland Oregon…read more When I first called to talk about setting up an appointment I spoke to a very intelligent and nice man. He walked me thru the steps and helped literally walk me off a proverbial electrical nightmare scenario. He told me not to worry and they would be able to at least get my upstairs lights back on. If I decided to fix breaker box they could work on that later. "Lets get you up and going he said." There was no hard pressed sales speech. I said yes, send someone. This interaction was the 10th call to other companies and I chose West Side for this alone. The gentleman was kind patient and understanding. I was sent a reminder quickly after which I appreciated. The repair person BLISS, JASON came over and worked on trying to find the issue from the breaker box to the third level. He even went up into our stand up attic to scout the issue. And this whole time Hospice was here taking care of my Mom I heard Jason get emotional in the other room. We talked and he shared how he had just lost his own Mother and I at once had a kindered friend in my home. He was fast and efficient and most of all sympathetic to our situation. You have a great worker in Jason Bliss and I was honored to have him in our home. When I got the invoice I was shocked at how reasonable and fair it was. I would bake cookies for all of you in appreciation. My Mother has since passed but I will never forget the week of Jan 2026 how Jason took the time to care for us and fix our lights and ease some of my grief. In best, 5 stars all around 10 if I could.

I told their electrician when he was on-site that I knew about their discount from Qualified Electricians , but he said he was unable to accept payment that day and that the office would be sending an invoice. When the invoice arrived three weeks later they told me they were unable to accept the coupon because I hadn't presented it at the time of service. With no invoice to pay at the time of service, why would I download the coupon to pay it?

I had to cancel the appt two weeks in advance, before any work was performed, and I was told I would receive a full refund. What followed was weeks of unanswered emails, repeated follow-ups, and multiple promises that the refund would be processed "soon" or by a certain date. After filing a dispute with my credit card company, I decided to give them one more opportunity to resolve the issue directly. I called and was told the appropriate person was in a meeting and would return my call. Believing the matter was finally being handled, I canceled the dispute. Unfortunately no call ever came. After calling back again and continuing to get nowhere, I had to reopen the dispute. It has now been over 4 1/2 weeks, and they still have not reimbursed my down payment despite no work being performed and no materials being provided. Extremely poor communication and follow-through. It is unfortunate that keeping a customer's money appears to have mattered more than protecting the company's reputation.

They coordinated everything and the when the inspector stopped by he complimented the quality of their work. I've since hired them twice, once for a remodel and recently for an repair. In all cases their electricians were good communicators who showed up fast and did excellent work at a fair price. Definitely would recommend.

ProTech was the electrical contractor on our new home build. We had frustrations from the beginning…read morewith poor planning and lack of knowledge about the spec'd fixtures and electrical equipment. There was continued staff turnover at ProTech with little oversight or on-site management which resulted in many errors. As problems and questions arose, we were repeatedly asked to solve them for ProTech - even basic questions about fixture install that we're spec'd at the beginning of the project. We spent countless hours researching and resolving issues for ProTech to try and keep things moving forward. Issues continued throughout the project and included lighting configuration mistakes, missed circuits and inconsistent wiring through the house as it was installed by different crews. It was so difficult to get things done, we eventually gave up and removed some items to simplify scope given the lack of knowledge. Quality issues such as damaged wiring and missing circuits were only discovered after the walls were closed making troubleshooting and repair very expensive. ProTech abandoned the project after billing us 80% which resulted in us spending tens of thousands more than our original contract with another contractor to fix ProTech's mistakes and finish the project. In my opinion, with so many quality electricians in the area, I wouldn't risk hiring ProTech for anything other than the most basic tasks.

They were prompt, efficient, knowledgeable and very professional. I would absolutely recommend them but, would just warn you there is likely a wait.
