I went for a hair cut this morning around 10 am. The place was empty, I figured this should be quick but was I wrong. The person who was there talked on her cell phone on a personal call while I sat in the chair waiting to have my hair cut. 10 minutes later I got up and walked out, since when is okay to take personal calls over a paying customer. I understand emergency situations but laughing and long conversation while you have a customer waiting in your chair is not acceptable. It will be a very long time before I ever go back. This place is horrible. I called ahead of time and ask if I can be seen they told me to come in within the next 10 minutes and they would cut my hair. There was only one Barber and I ended up waiting over an hour. As I was waiting other people we're having the same issue when I told the barber what was going on she gave me a dirty look. This is the first time I've been to this place & unfortunately, I'm not too thrilled. I made an appt. for two people, when we came in, two chairs were open but only one person was. After about 25min. I asked if I was going to get my toes done soon and she said yes by her. Her meaning the woman whose only half way done with another client. By the time my friend was done they barely started mine, no apology. Anything, also while I was here another woman who seams like a regular came in and the girl had no idea she had an appointment. She asked the woman "did you call?" She said yes, yesterday did they not tell you? Should I come back? She said no and just carried on. Idk if I plan on coming back. read more

I have always had bad experience here. I have been here more than once and for different things . Once for my nails which I had very bad experience and now I am left with dents in my nails. Twice for hair Colors. It's near where I stay so I find it easy to walk there and thought they will atleast do a good job atleast once. Even after showing them pics and explaining what I want for my hair color they do the same thing and spoil it for me . Very recently I went after a year for hair highlights. Wanted a red highlight on black hair. She did it a reddish orange highlights and charged me 100 bucks just because my hair is curly and long. She did not blow dry it properly for me and she even asked me if I want my hair to be temporary straightened for the color to show and I said yes. And what she did was just blow dried it slightly and said I m done. Coming home , to my shock when my hair dries I see orangish reddish strands of hair. I went the next day to atleast make my crown area black again cause it looked too bright for my face and skin tone and she was not happy. I said only the crown area black and she thought I want my whole hair black. So she charged me 40 dollars for it even after doing only just a small area . The owner who is kind of a rude woman who doesn't even give u a smile or talk to u nicely said she is charging me for the color. Seriously? You kidding me. The employees rushed through my pedicure in order to leave work on time. In the process, they knicked my toe nail while putting on my sandals. The pedicure was one of the worst pedicures I have ever gotten. Nail polish was painted on my skin, and they didn't make an effort to remove it. I want to like this place, but unfortunately, their service is just not up to par. I hope they use this feedback to reflect on their business. I wish them the best. read more

I always get a mani/pedi here for the price I would say it's a good value. It's cheaper then all the places I've been to in the area and I rarely have to wait. If you want a quick and no nonsense place to get your toes and nails done, this is a great place to go. read more

Came in yesterday to get my self and my daughters hair trimmed I didn't ask for a blowdry I didn't ask her anything else then when I went to cash out she told me $25 for my hair and $25 for my six-year-old hair. So $50 for them to cut our hair at the bottom straight across. This didn't sit well with me so I called to ask seeming as though their board says haircuts $20 and up she proceeds to tell me that the extra five dollars was because they blow dried my hair first of all I never asked for that you cannot charge somebody for services you didn't ask for. So the lady offered me a five dollar credit for next time, I will never be coming back that's very poor communication and you cannot ask for money for services rendered that we never ask for. Highly disappointed and also when cutting our hair never ask is this much OK or do you want to take more off none of that was ever asked. she cut it and then she blew dry it and that was it... no product either shame on the company for taking advantage of their customers!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I won't recommend this place for mens haircut. My husband got his haircut twice at this place. First and last time at Amazing Cuts - though I can only comment on nail service, not hair or waxing, which they also do. Walked in, only two employees and one customer, so service was immediate. Requested a fill and she quoted me a price. I accepted and then clarified that I'd like it with color and gel on top of the color, which then made the price go up a couple bucks, no big deal, I still accepted. I also requested a color change on my toes (not a full pedicure) and though she didn't quote me a price, I expected the price would be as quoted on the wall. The woman was friendly enough, but she was very rough, fast and not very careful. She made me nervous and from the get go I wasn't planning on being impressed with the end result. She started with sanding off the existing gel and color and in the process sanded divots into the side of my nails accidentally, and seemed like she was in too much of a rush for me being her only customer. Well, that ended up changing when a gentleman walked in requesting a haircut. Both workers had a customer, so he took a seat. Then at one point, in the middle of my service, she ended up leaving me there and going to him to cut his hair while I sat and waited. As expected, in the end, my nails are uneven (so if you look at the tip of the finger, the left side is thicker than the right on a number of them, and from the top they aren't smooth). In addition, polish is on more than just the nail, but on the cuticles and skin around the nail as well, so it looks like a DIY job (which is why I get them done by someone else in the first place). Then, she "forgot" to do the gel, so when I remind her that I'd like gel, she said "oh, you do?" as if we never discussed it. Then begins my toes, which were to be a color change. It's been a few weeks so they needed a trim and file as well. I don't look, it just feels sloppy, and again, polish is on more than just the nail, it's on the cuticles and skin around the nail as well, so it looks funny. I was just done being there by then. We went back and did the gel, paid and left. As I was paying, she charged me an extra $3. So I asked her why it was more. She indicated that a color change doesn't include trimming the nails shorter, trimming is an extra charge, which is strange to me, but whatever, just pay and go. Now I'm home wishing my "other" nail place had an opening today, which they didn't. So if you want a good place for a Fill or a Full Set, let me recommend you visit My, the nail specialist at My Nails (strip mall at Great America and Mission College Blvd). My is great, careful, gentle and my nails look like I had them done professionally when I leave her store. All for very similar and competitive prices. So like I said, first and last time here for nail service. read more

This is the second time I've been here and I'm disappointed once again. The first time I got my hair cut here I noticed I had a backwards mullet afterwards, and oh look it happened again. Basically under all my hair is short little pieces of hair that can't fit into a pony tail even though I specially said I wanted my hair THE SAME LENGTH ALL AROUND. Not to mention the back of my hair is shorten then the front even though the lady styled my hair so it "appears" to be the same length as a result of the styling but is not. Can't believe the reviews are bad.. I went here for the first time a week after they opened & I fell in love. Great service, clean place & friendly. I usually get a acrylic set with Lin & she does the best. I'm very picky & at the beginning I must say I was a bit hard but she was nice & knew exactly how I like my nails! Tina & another one of the girls do my pedis & they take there time & do a great job (foot massages for 15 mins are the best) I recently moved so I hardly get to go but when I'm in town I make sure it's with this amazing place. read more

I live in the area. They have great hours, helpful staff members, and they do great cuts and color for a reasonable price. We get manicures, pedicures, waxing, color, and cuts here on a regular basis. They are not invasive with personal questions unless you want to share information about yourself. They do specials (mani and pedi decor) if you let them know your preferences. The color lasts a long time, and the leg massages are good. If you have a large party, just let them know in advance as they are busy. That is just courtesy on YOUR part. read more

My hair was previously damaged. They were britle and slip ends due to cheap color used by previous salon. I decided to go to this salon for my hair color. There are three beauticians working there. I did not have to wait that long for my service, They were so friendly and honest about what needed to be done to get my hair back to normal. Ater getting my hair cut and chemical treatment, I finally got my hair colored; during the wait for hair color to stabilize about 40 to 50 minutes, I also had my manicure and pedicure done. I especially love their foot spa used diposable liner that I do not have to worry about spa unsanitized. These beauticians with at least 10 years experience were such professional who were so hospitable and engaged friendly conversation with cilients during the entire services. It made you feel like you were their friend. They have done a very good job of taking care of my hair and my nails. I was glad that i came to this place. I got my haricut here and every time some one new cuts my hair. This time, the lady who cut my hair DID not follow my instructions to leave the top as is and just cut the sides. She takes liberty to do a small trim on top, and at the end the top is cut by an inch. This is terrible and my head looks like a box at this point. I'm very unsatisfied with this place. My husband and I are very satisfied with this place. My husband said he's very happy because the lady who cut his hair did his hair exactly the way he wanted it. This is the first time I've seen a salon that actually listens to the customer and doesn't mess up. His hair is hard to cut, but after coming to this place, his hair turned out nice and clean. They also did my manicure and pedicure very carefully and I can tell they tried their best. It turned out great also. The salon was nice and clean too. I've never written reviews before, and this is the first time I've actually written a review because this place is perfect.
