Disappointing. Perhaps I didn't do my homework but I'm a meat and potato guy, and in my opinion that's what you want in a breakfast burrito. After a night at the Snake River Saloon in prior to a day on the slopes of Breck, I had a hankering for a killer burrito. My friend called ahead and they said they have a great burrito. Again perhaps we didn't qualify enough. Well, I let him move ahead and place the order while I parked, and what we ended up with was some type of pseudo vegetarian burrito with lettuce chicken and sweet potato !?!???.. if that wasn't bad enough, the girl that waited on us had zero personality couldn't even crack a smile or say thank you upon completing the order. Lastly, I don't think $12 plus per burrito is a reasonable fee even in Breckenridge The quest continues I won't be back read more

Awesome food, great vibe, helpful and happy staff preparing fresh food they take pride in. Fresh ingredients into a good process and prep means a great final product. Baked goods are amazingly good and fresh. The cookie is "healthy" tasting, though, and my wife likes it but it tastes like one of those health food cookies and I'm more like "why bother?" about it. Not cheap eats, but healthy eats. As tends to go, when you eat organic the price tag goes up. I had a scrambled egg with tomato spinach cheese sausage and by request (1$) gluten free toast, and it was 12$. I'm not a rich tourist and it's a rare treat to eat out for breakfast and I appreciate the option here, but I do wish it was a teeny bit cheaper. This place is super laid back, and delicious smelling. Don't come in here and expect to be in and out in about 5 min unless your just grabbing coffee and a baked good (which are irresistible btw). Food came out within 15 min once we ordered- and it was amazing! I got the opus (egg, spinach, tomato on their huge and scrumptious biscuits). I'd love to come back here for lunch next time I pop into Breck, as that menu looked just as tasty. Really enjoyed the chill atmosphere and it almost felt like home just hanging out and waiting on "mom" in the kitchen cooking breakfast. How to order/relax and enjoy: You come in and sit where you want, water glasses are located to the right of the register on a shelf (a sign marks it) and water pitchers are in the fridge. It's a very help yourself kind of place as the staff are busy cooking up your meal. The coffee is the the left of the register with cups/cream/sugar/ spoons and so on- help yourself if your sitting down to eat. From there the menus are on the counter and above the register on the wall. Pick out what you'd like and oogle at the baked goods (we certainly left with a few to-go at the end of our visit). You stand at the register when your ready to order- place it, go back to your table and the staff brings it out. Once your done you clear your own plate and place it in the dish buckets below the coffee. All paying is done once the meal is finished, and once again you walk up to the register and pay when your ready-- no pressure to hurry on out. You can call ahead to order, for to-go if your in a rush. The coffee is wonderful and guilt free (as its trade free). They do take cards! read more

You would think reading the description and menu, this is another pretentious hipster tourist trap; it's not. You can actually taste the freshness of the food, and I have the palate of a toddler. I actually tried another well known breakfast place right afterwards; I could immediately taste the difference in quality of ingredients. Delicious food, friendly staff, and very intimate setting! I had the spicy-tofu sandwich and loved it. It was absolutely loaded with veggies and with their tofu "egg" salad. They're located in an old house and still have the original wood stove heating the place. Great soups, and probably the best muffin I've had in years, vegan or otherwise! Amazing Grace is a fun little restaurant, a couple of blocks off of main street. We went here for lunch to please the health food "nut" in our group. I normally do not like the more healthy food, but the breakfast burrito I had was delicious. Rather than meat it had pieces of spicy sweet potato, and fluffy eggs and cheese. The fair trade coffee was self serve, and delicious. The water was self serve from a pitcher in a cooler in the front of the restaurant next to the counter, so our drinks were cool and always full. Great veggie sandwich options, we got the spicy tofu and the veggie delight. Next time I'd ask to add onions or pickles, they could have used a little more acid. The veggies were all super fresh and colorful and the bread was soft. The lady even wrapped them up for us specially so we could toss them in a backpack for a hike. You know... if I had dreadlocks, or my forearms were covered in tattoos, or I rocked a lip ring, or I looked like I'd just shredded some "epic gnar-pow" and then crashed out on a buddy's couch, I think I'd probably like this place just fine. But I don't dress or look or act or talk quite edgy enough, and sometimes I do really off-putting things like wear polo shirts and boat shoes when it's nice outside. The two blonde women (the owners I am assuming?) who run this place obviously don't like that. In fact, they've made it very clear on more than one occasion that I'm just not quite organic or Earthy enough for them. Am I being paranoid? Possibly. But take a look at some of the other reviews. If these ladies want your business, they certainly don't show it. Among other things I've been told, "look around, what do you think?" when I asked whether they'd call my name when my order was ready or just bring it to my table (even after looking around, I still didn't know)... I've seen them verbally abuse customers who claimed that they didn't get what they ordered, and I've heard them more or less tell customers, "look, we'll get to it when we get to it -- so quit asking" when they had the audacity to inquire how much longer their sandwich order could possibly take. Maybe customer service just isn't cool anymore... or maybe these ladies just don't want yuppie tourists like me ruining their little mountain town utopia. I don't know and I don't care cause I won't be back. But I do know this... I grew up right down the road and started coming to this wonderful town long before Amazing Grace ever showed up, and I'll still be coming here, boat shoes and all, long, long after it's gone. read more

My parents have a place in Breckenridge and on several recent trips we passed by Amazing Grace and were very excited to give it a try. This Sunday I had the opportunity to stop in for breakfast with my mom and was quite disappointed with the experience. First, the service was bad. Not slow, but rude - which is so uncommon in the town. After I ordered my breakfast burrito (we'll get to that in a second) she made a comment about it being "special" when setting it down on the table. The burrito as described on the menu had optional cheese and optional chicken sausage. I opted for no cheese and added the sausage. I also asked for no black beans...that was it...and it seemed like the biggest request ever. Then it came...the burrito was lukewarm at best and I wasn't even convinced that the sausage was fully cooked through. The eggs were tasteless and the salsa was merely cold diced up tomatoes. I barely finished 1/4 of it before throwing in my napkin, literally. Amazing Grace did have great coffee and the atmosphere is adorable. That said, there are tons of other adorable restaurants in Breckenridge that I'll support before going back here again. read more

This was the perfect place to stop at on a super snowy Sunday morning. My husband and I were able to find delicious & healthy options that fit both our dietary restrictions (vegan & lactose intolerant). The staff was extremely welcoming & friendly. In fact, our cook actually happened to serve us the night before at a different restaurant in town and remembered my husband was lactose free. When she was preparing his meal, she realized there was something on it that had dairy and came to see if we wanted to take it off. Had lunch here today with a friend who lives in town. I loved my turkey berry sandwich and the vegan choc chip cookie was super yummy. I eat out frequently and I think that this restaurant rates as the SLOWEST ever. I get it - mountain vibe, low key etc - but when you have a toddler who is hungry and impatient, I don't care.
