HORRIFIC experience - coming from an experienced and longstanding Amazing Lash client. Update: I will NEVER go back to this store and am considering canceling my membership from AL altogether. I was contacted by the manager Emma, and she so kindly tried to explain the issue, blaming it on corporate's choice of glue. I would fare to say it's also the level of service they demand from their stylists. She also said, verbatim, "I'm sorry I have days off and run marketing and was not in the store at the very exact second you were there." A somewhat backhanded statement. I am not an aggressive person and am rather reasonable, and I was being kind about the situation. She proceeded to address the management at River Oaks, or lack thereof by telling me, "you must have known RO hasn't had a manager in over a year, and I'm always here." I responded, "no, I didn't know that because I've never had an issue there." Emma offered to comp a full set. I declined because this is NOT a just solution, and I will never go back to this store. 2.5 hours wasted on day one, trauma to my eyelids, wasted a pair of contacts I had in for five minutes, and absolute wrecking of their brand in my eyes (literally). And she expects me to be happy and resolved about going in for another 1.5hours and get a set of lashes, which I should already have and would have happily paid for! She also pointed it out it had been 3 weeks since my last refill, and she wasn't there to see the service prior, with a tone insinuating it could partly be MY fault! I requested credit to my account instead because I would rather visit a different location, and she declined, attempting to rationalize, "I can't comp a service that has not been performed." Well, a service was performed (refill), and another service (fixing by stylist #2), and another service (removal). And who paid? I did. With my more of my time than needed, physical pain, and an unjust situation. And what did Meyerland do? Offer a full set. No, thanks. *Shout out to Markeya for being a kind and wonderful witness of this nasty situation and to recognize the issue immediately.* --- I have done this many times before, and I'm NOT one to complain even if it's a little crooked. But this time was an absolute nightmare. I came in for a refill. Two and a half hours later, I left absolutely livid because I had zero lashes, tender eyeballs from all of the chemicals from application and removal, and white flaky glue all over my lash line and the little lashes I had remaining. When the refill was complete, my lashes were crooked, stuck together, and glued to my eyelids. She also said my eyes were "particularly difficult" to do, though I've done this successfully many times and have always had good experiences from other locations and various stylists. I couldn't blink without feeling pain! The manager (not present, communicating only through team members) offered me $20 off if I pay out of pocket, which is a ridiculous response to this issue. One stylist removed about 10 lashes, separated as many as she could, told me "to let it grow, and it'll be better." There was white stuff all over the lash line and she said "I have no idea what that is - I tried to remove as much as possible for you." This was not a viable solution. I still had pain and lashes glued to my skin. The front desk then said a step was skipped and to go back for an additional coat of jet black glue. I was very confused at this point. I went back anyway, and the stylist took a look and told me, "wow this is crazy, you need to remove these and get a full set. This is not right." She was kind enough to speak to the front desk for me and removed it for me. BUT it doesn't end there! She wasn't able to remove all the mysterious white stuff clumped to the base of my lashes, and it was flaking into my eyes. No one knew what it was. How in the world is this business in operation? I couldn't even drive home without getting this mysterious product flaking in my eyes. Additionally, I have NEVER seen a customer-centric business operate without a manager or team leader on staff to resolve issues as they arise. The front desk was able to communicate with the manager and update her real-time. Yet, I have not been reached out to, and the issue is unresolved. I wasted 2.5 hours, lost a third of my natural lashes, still don't have extensions and am completely peeved by the entire experience. read more

Customer service is horrible TO THE MAX. I don't even understand how they are still open. My lash stylist Javone is Amazing I love her but management is poor as hell I have been contacting management for three weeks now. No phone has been returned. I have also experienced with another stylist, my eye was so swollen I had to go to the ER the lady at the front told me to come in for a correction...a correction really, I couldn't even open my open for three days and they told me there was nothing I could do about it because it passed the correction days. Amazing Lash y'all have some great stylist but y'all treat your customers like pure shit. I will be contacting TDLT for this since management and corporate haven't returned my calls. I was very upset after i was charged $140 for a set of lashes after being told it would cost $79 they waited to do the srevice and then tell me because i was a loyal customer at a previous location my cost was doulbed crazy huh then she went on to tell me if i joined some menbership i could pay the $80,,,is this how you treat repeat business? Had Tam as a stylist as Markeya was busy. What a disaster. She triple stacked lashes on me, even on my skin, and used so much glue it took 5-6 attempts with the remover (the next day) to get it off. I ended up re-doing with Markeya, which looked good. But there was so much glue and the harshness of the remover irritated my lashes and I am starting to develop an infection. I went to do a refill at the Fairfield, CT Amazing Lash on my vacation and she recommended to wait and took these photos. It became my 2nd removal visit. The stylist showed me the lashes she took off and that my lashes are extremely weak and falling out by the follicles because of the infection brought on by the glue and the lashes being placed too close to the lash line. Apparently, my lashes have not been growing. I've been doing my lashes almost 2 years and I never had all this craziness until I saw Tam. Markeya is very good as is Rosa at the Ffld, CT location. 12/22-Received response from manager that I should go call CT about the botch Houston did. No, Vera. Love these lashes... I think I'm addicted. You can't feel them at all and they last quite a bit long time! Update 5/31: goodness. I love the lashes but I HATE Their policies and customer service. Ive had to wait over 10 mins each time I've been in for an appt even though if you're late, you get charged. In addition, their AC was broke for two f the sessions I came in for which is completely unprofessional. When a business puts policies over customers, it burns me up. I called today to schedule a refill and they told me since I was ONE day over 4 weeks since my last visit- I was required to be charged a full set even though I still have lashes on my eyes. I explained that I JUST HAD A BABY! And surely an exception could be made bc its only been one day (and I'm sure they were closed on Memorial Day) and the fact that I was in the hospital delivering. She implicitly replied- policies are policies. I asked to speak with a manager and she said she was out for the day. I then asked to speak to the corporate office and she replied "there is no corporate". It's a franchise. Someone gets paid a franchise fee. In addition, she tells me "we don't allow anyone under the age of 14 in the salon, so if you bring your baby with you- you won't be seen". She's breastfed, so being a newborn she has to be fed pretty much every 3 hours which means it's not really possible for a babysitter to watch her while I attend an appt. I have been going to this location of Amazing Lash Studio-Meyerland for over year. Previously I had gone to the River Oaks location with for about 3 years, but decided on a location closer to home and much more reliable. They do an excellent job! The front desk staff are always friendly and accomodating to last minute scheduling changes. They make useful suggestions and there is never any pressure to add on additional services or purchase products. The stylists are courteous and on time, and make sure that I am happy with the results, which I always am. I will continue to frequent the studio every three weeks, as I always get excellent service and care. read more

UPDATE: The owner of this business is a horrible person and I strongly recommend that you do not support any of the multiple Amazing Lash Studios she owns. As seen below she responded to my original review with nothing but lies. She continues to claim that I have been "exposed". Ann, do everyone a favor and educate yourself. Then she says that out of "good faith" for healthcare workers she opted not to press charges against me and my husband...lies...she TRIED to press charges but they were DENIED because her allegations were FALSE. As a matter of fact I was the only one able to press charges for illegal restraint. Then she recommended that I visit the River Oaks location where my ALS membership was originally obtained from. I did, but she beat me to it. She took a picture of my appointment confirmation and sent it to every ALS in Houston telling them to refuse me service. I had no choice but to cancel my membership. And then she tried to silence me. After all the trauma she put me through she threatened to sue if I don't remove my yelp review. She claimed that my statement about sanitary measures was defamatory. I stand by what I wrote because it is what I experienced when I was there. I saw a client pay for her services and the counter wasn't sanitized after. I also saw a different customer leave the waiting area to begin her lash session, and that area wasn't sanitized afterwards. I distinctly remember that the only cleaning method I observed was a nosey ass stylist pushing around a broom. Last I checked, sweeping is not sanitizing. You're literally spreading the germs around. Get some Clorox, you look like a fool. Safe yourself from misery and do not support any of the businesses that Ann L. Is involved with. read more

I typically write Reviews on how Great a Business served me but in this case I was morbidly DISAPPOINTED.., My experience at this "Meyerland location" was the WORST!!! I laid there patiently for (2) hours for the stylist to apply my lashes. Upon completion I pointed out to the "Stylist" that one lid had noticeably MORE Lashes than the other. She agreed that the lashes were not even & reapplied a few more to the thinner lashes. Her attempt to correct the problem was barely satisfactory! She was completely inexperienced & did a Lack-Luster Job. She also had Cold symptoms & repeatedly coughed & sneezed while doing my lashes as she apologized. Thankfully, I had Vitamin Emergen-C powder in my purse & took it as soon as she was done. Nonetheless; I was ready to leave and I had family waiting for me. Once I was ready to check-out the cashier started soliciting membership and products for me to purchase. I decided to purchase the Lash Foaming cleanser that was a Whopping $20.00 for soap! Nevertheless, I was given the wrong receipt & a good night without handing me the product I just purchased! Cashier apologized once I reminded her and I was out the door. The next day I had a eye appt. scheduled and decided to ask my doctor about the Lash foam I purchased the day before. He read the ingredients and notified me (2) of the ingredients would aggravate my eye. So that day with receipt in hand I returned to the Meyerland location to return the item and receive a Full refund. The cashier had NO knowledge on how to give a REFUND! She referred to her mgr. MIA PEREZ for guidance and I was told purchased products cannot be refunded or RETURNED!!! I WAS NEVER TOLD AT THE TIME OF PURCHASE IT WAS A FINAL SALE!!! I went for my RECEIPT & there is NO mention a RETURN POLICY! NOWHERE IN THE STORE, at the Check out counter on the Windows, Pamphlet NOWHERE!!! NO MENTION ABOUT NON-REFUNDABLE PRODUCTS!! The Cashier was dumbfounded and couldn't explain or show me in writing where is this Policy!!' She said they must've been taken Down...Huh?!?! I asked her to call ((Mia Perez's Mgr.)) to expedite my REFUND! She called a Mgr. **LiAnne** at the Galleria for assistance and she was just as Awful & Clueless! I love amazing lash studio. They are the best at what they do! I normally go in for my appointment and they are very attentive and check me in immediately. The wait for your stylist (Markeya the best) is always really short. They take you to the back and to get your lashes done (refill) normally takes about an HOUR! But it is worth the wait. I'm not the type of girl that wears makeup daily so it is nice to just throw on some lipstick and have my lashes! I always feel beautiful! read more

Love my refill. Service was excellent too. Until next time. Very clean and a bright place. The beginning of my review was the honeymoon stage. On my way to my next appointment an accident happened. Not my fault I left in plenty of time but because I called to let them know I was late (if you call 30 minutes before no problem) I lost my appointment and was charged 50% of my services. My lashes and the skin around were also flaking. I figured I am allergic to the sensitive glue. The run around to remove the monthly charge was unreal. So I guess the solution is to call 30 minutes before every appointment and if driving on Houston roads an accident happening you are covered. read more

Do not come here. People here do not know what they are doing. First of all. It only took the girl an hour and 15 minutes to apply my lashes. Usually professional lash establishments take up to 2 hours for a full set. I bought a lash coating and returned it within one day because I had a lash reaction and had to remove them. They didn't refund the money right away. It had been 2 weeks and I didn't receive my refund for the lash coating because I had to swipe my card back for it when I could have done that the day I returned the product. Unfortunately, I did not have a good experience. English was not the technician's first language and I had to repeat myself several times for her to understand me. Glue accidentally got in my eye and I have never felt such burning. My eye swelled up and I was unable to complete the eyelash process. I think having someone in a customer service role with limited English is tough. I really want to love this place but I can't. The first time I did my lashes I got a small hemorrhage (I added the picture) in my eye, my eyes were red and my eyelids were super swollen at times too, I called them to let them know and ask if it was normal? Maybe it was because it's the first time I had eyelashes on?, they told me that that is not supposed to happen and they will book me with Veronica who was supposedly much better. I then went to my second appointment for the refill with Veronica, she was sweet and did a good job but the lashes she put on were a little longer than the last ones, they looked good at the moment but after that they kept getting into my eyes a lot and I felt like they were a little to heavy for my natural lashes because I was loosing a lot of natural lashes. After hurricane Harvey, were I had to flee and my apartment complex was completely under water, I wasn't able to schedule a new refill, I tried calling them several times and they never answered the phone. I had to leave the country for 3 weeks after that because of urgent family matters abroad so I had to get my few lashes that still remained removed abroad. The girl that removed them was incredibly professional she studied for this in NY with a Russian specialist (Nadja something) and she knew her stuff, she gave me all the right advice about what lashes were good for me and that the ones that I had on were too long and were indeed affecting my natural lashes a lot, not only that, she said that normally your natural lashes grow too, so the extensions actually grow out and have to be removed every few months completely and a new set has to be placed to make them look good and not affect your natural lash. I didn't know that!! Nobody at amazing lashes ever told me anything about all of this!. After she put a new set of really light weight and shorter lashes they looked AMAZING and I felt amazing because they were not huge and were not bothering me at all!. I wanted to go back to Houston and go to Amazing lashes Meyerland and tell them to put on exactly the same as I had gotten with this other girl! So as soon as I got back I called them for the refill and then the disaster started!. They told me they had to charge me one removal of the ones I had on, that hey won't work on someone else's lashes?? That's stupid, they are lashes for heavens sake, why wouldn't they be able to just give me my refill that I pay for 60$ each month!!!. Well they couldn't say.. they just don't do it. So I have to pay 30$ and a new set?, they said since I have 1 credit (60$ I paid) they would only charge me 45$ extra for the full set... that's 105$ for a full set!. I told her: I'm a member I thought I got the full set for 79$? So that would be 20 dollars extra from what I already payed.. she said that the credits have no monetary value, that one credit is not worth 60$ but is just one credit... WTF? It does have monetary value for me since I am paying for it!! Are you serious?. She said well either that or I had to wait for 12 more days until my next "credit" was booked and then I could get a full set for 2 credits.. I would have to let the lashes fall off naturally or pay for the removal still.. so that makes it 120$ for a full set and 30$ for removal?... this is insane!- I thought.. well I told her you know what I will pay your 2 credits or your 45 dollars but at least don't charge me the removal cause with this whole Harvey thing I had no other choice and you have to be a little more customer friendly and understand were I am coming from.. this is all a lot of money. She said she would talk to her manager.. after 10 min of holding the line she told me: I'm sorry we can't help you.... what the.. this is unbelievable.. I was so mad I drove right to the place and cancelled my contract right away, I thought this was outragous! and I am trying to sell my 2 "credits" to a friend for the price of one, just to not have to go back to that place that treated me like a piece of trash after we all got badly hit by a a f'n hurricane and everything has been falling out of place and order.. I just wanted to go there and feel good and feel cared for, I was even willing to pay their exorbitant price for the full set.. but instead I feel screwed over and taken advantage of. It seems like I'm not the only one that has had a horrible experience at this place, you have to be a little more forthcoming with our clients, this is NOT a way to do business. I really wanted to love you guys but you just made me one really mad and unhappy customer. I won't recommend this place to anyone, I even told my friend who recommended it to me and she said she was seriously thinking of leaving too because they are really bad at communicating with the client. First let me start off by saying don't come here. literally the worst set of lashes i have ever gotten and the crazy thing is is that they're the most expensive lashes i've ever paid for. literally couldn't even tell that i had lash extensions. it was a complete waste of $120. the reason it was that expensive is because they charged me a whole extra $30 to remove literally TWO lashes that were left over from my last set and they refused to apply the discount I was promised over the phone (which is the only reason i booked an appointment there in the first place instead of booking with my regular lash tech). i left the salon with red/swollen eyes because the removal/application process was so rough. they claimed the lash tech i received was a master technician but she had no idea what she was doing and she did such a terrible job. i literally left the salon crying from frustration. i went in there anticipating to only spend $60 and they made me pay twice as much after doing a half ass job. I was really ready to fight that receptionist because she really had the nerve to tell me my lashes looked good when i walked out, but i know that she could see from the expression on my face that i was not pleased with the outcome.....if you're contemplating whether or not you should to go to this location, please don't. I just went in for my second appt with this location. Overall the location is very well kept. My first appt I was scheduled with a junior stylist and I wasn't all that happy with my lashes after a couple of days. They started to turn and get "twisted" even after brushing them out and fell out fairly quickly. I decided to give it a second shot and called to see if I could move my appt up. The receptionist was super kind and was able to get me in sooner. She asked if a senior or master stylist was ok. I chose to go with the Master stylist Ms.Kim. She absolutely nailed what I was looking for in my lashes. I chose to go with the 6D lashes that definitely give a more glam look. If I can give this place a negative 5 stars I would. Emma has NO CUSTOMER SERVICE. This place is the nightmare of all salons. I was charged $79.95 for the eyelash service I NEVER RECEIVED. This business needs to be reported to the BBB. Many reports and reviews have been written about this location. Do your research before you even attempt to book here. I CALLED and booked an appointment before Thanksgiving holiday. I arrived that Sunday before Thanksgiving with my 10 year old daughter and THEN I was told kids are not allowed in the building. I live in Pearland its Sunday Afternoon and I was not told about no KIDS rule. "Remember I booked over the phone". They did not want to reschedule the appointment as they are booked for the holidays. OK, I told the clerk cancel it, no point in getting the eyelashes done after the holidays. Well, the holidays pass and then I see a charge on January 1, 2017. I called and asked why is there a charge if I never received service. A girl named ICE said she wasn't sure why, but it looks like it was a mistake. They had another Diana receive service and they didn't charge her. Ice recommend I speak to a manager. I wait for Emma to call, she never called. I called her she never came to the phone. OK, I visited the location and spoke with EMMA. Emma began screaming at me claiming I was charged for a no show. I responded to her that I arrived, I was not a no show but you turned me down due to the no kids policy. Emma screams at me they are not BABYSITTERS I do not need to be bringing my kid to her business. I was shocked when she made that statement. At this point it was a screaming match. I booked over the phone it is not my problem they did not notify me about bring a child would be a problem. The cashier even admitted she didn't think I had kids so she didn't notify me. Love amazing lash. Hate this location. I wish I liked it bc it's two min from my house. I've tried going here about four times within the last year. Each stylist is consistently below average. My complaints begin with the experience itself. I've been a member for four and a half years. Sometimes I doze off because the experience is so relaxing. Not here. The stylists tug and pull at your lashes throughout the refill. They also aggressively brush off older ones which pulls out way more lashes than necessary. After one day, my lashes are crooked and dangling off. Anyway, I'm so glad the other locations with more experienced stylists have re-opened! Don't come to this location. read more
